They made every effort to reduce the total cost to me and went to great lengths to explain what they were doing. Honesty and integrity are the cornerstone of this business, There is one thing worse than an costly engine breakdown.. thats the feeling that it has been made more expensive by the garage.Thankfully I drove away assured that these "proper mechanics" had done a great job as cost effectively as possible. This is a family run business and an exceptional one at that! With friendly staff you can trust these guys. They fix any car and give you a decent price. What is good is that the owners live a few yards away from the shop so your car is safe when left with them. Also their MOT test centre has been running since 2003 and is popular with the locals. You can book your MOT on line or speak to one of the staff. Whats really cool is that you can set up a reminder of your MOT and they will remind you when its near the time. Great, especially for me!

I had high hopes for this garage after deciding to move from my long-term garage to support a…read morelocal, independent business. The initial booking process was professional, and I particularly appreciated the honesty when they called me well in advance to correct a mistake on their initial quote. Unfortunately, this positive start did not last. The main issues began on the day of the MOT and service. A misunderstanding over the 8 am appointment time, which was not clarified in the text reminder I received, meant I arrived later than expected. I am happy to own my part in that delay; however, the reaction I received from one of the mechanics was completely unprofessional. Rather than explaining the situation, he was visibly angry, repeatedly checked his watch, and spoke to me in a condescending tone that made me feel incredibly unwelcome. This is not how any customer should be treated. The most significant failure, however, was the complete breakdown in communication later in the day. After approving necessary repairs, I was left waiting for an update. I received no calls at all towards the end of the day. It was only at 5:30 pm, after the reception and workshop staff had apparently gone home, that another employee fortunately thought to check and call me to say my car was still on the ramp and would not be ready. To be left without my car overnight, with no warning whatsoever from the team responsible, is simply unacceptable. The car was ready the next morning, and the final repair work seems fine. However, even the complimentary car wash was symbolic of the lack of care shown--it was a poor effort that failed to remove simple surface dirt. While the reception staff were friendly and the work was eventually completed, the stressful encounter with the mechanic and the shocking lack of end-of-day communication mean I cannot recommend this garage. A business is only as strong as its weakest link, and unfortunately, the disorganisation and unprofessional attitude here overshadowed any positives.

John is a friendly guy and when I was having problems with the electrics on my car on Saturday, I called up and he was more than happy if I ran it down for him to give it a good looking over. Turned out it was a blown fuse that was easily replaced within 10 minutes and with me fully expecting to pay to have it fixed he gave it to me for free and said no probs. This is the sort of great local business still out there and I'll definitely still keep going here for the great service and great MOT's.

Had the Chevvy 64 collected for its M.O.T today. Colin and his wife Liz came, obviously there a charge but only 30£ to collect and bring back. My son now goes here to have his car m.o.t'd....They keep you updated on all the work and will not try and diddle you too have more work done than needed, and will complete on the day that they state.....Love you guys !!!!

i recently visited this shop to get 4 new tyres and was really impressed with the service i…read morereceived. there was plenty of staff there and i only had a small wait before something was able to see to me. they were very busy but was able to look up the tyres on the computer and order them for a time suitable for me. When i returned the tyres were changed quickly and the staff even drove my car in for me (im abit of a wimp when driving in small spaces!). The prices were alot cheaper than i expected. The only negative i could find was that the car park was small considering the amount of business they hve.
