Booking experience - as an expat living in Singapore traveling to the UK for an occasion, I booked online via the Yelp appointment messaging function. It was my first time using this feature, and I was so happy with the experience. The salon was so responsive (living up to their 100% responsiveness rate), which made it really easy for me to book even with timezones and my busy Pre-travel schedule. I even booked in my boyfriend (who was traveling from the US) for an appointment! The service - from start to finish, everyone I interacted with at the salon was incredibly nice and respectful, both to the customers and each other which made for a great experience. They also had me come in a day early to test the toner for allergies, which showed me the level of care/thought they put in, and I was able to align on the plan for my hair with my fabulous stylist Hannah. It was clear from that convo that Hannah knows what she's doing with blonde highlights AND curly hair - I always ask for recommendations from my stylists (trust the experts!) without me even telling her, she did exactly as I have had done by my hair stylist in the US who had been doing my hair for 5+ years: a mix of blondes to give dimension, extra of the light blonde and layers around my face to frame it, and some light layers in the back for crown volume. The color/cut - Hannah did a fantastic job with both! The color turned out amazingly natural looking, just the right level warmth, and some shine (which is difficult to get with my dry curly hair). The layers at the face were exactly the angle I like them, and I can see a slight difference in crown volume from the layers in the back. The price - for the level of service and quality of cut/color, the prices were very reasonable! I had gone to a much more expensive salon in London over the holidays, as I was nervous about a bad result (charging £60 for a blow out, which I was surprised to find wasn't included in the cut and color), and found that I like my hair from Feel just as much as that salon and actually preferred the service of Feel (much warmer and more personal). Oh and my Boyfriend (who has Long curly hair) also had a great experience with the salon and his stylist, Tom - and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable the salon was! I set up an appointment, put a £10 deposit with the promise of getting £5 back after my cut. So, a hair cut for £5?! HELL YESSS! The stylist in training was Daniela, a very sweet chic rocking a shaved head. I initially was only going to cut off 1" but I realized the bad bleach job by the other salon left my hair looking like crap, so I had her cut 5-6"! She had great shampoo technique and did most of the cut but the finessing was done by the lead stylist, John while she watched. And holy shit, it is the best cut I've had in a while! I'm thrilled! Just because the stylists are edgy doesn't mean that you have to get the same look. My style is classic while the lady who sat next to me had a conservative style and got a terrific root touch up as well. Hair models are needed on Mondays. The cuts do take time, my took 2 hours but if you have the time, it is very worth it. I do agree that the cleanliness could be better, there is some hair on the floor, I also saw it around the loo. There are many other hair salon in the area just like Hayato hair salon, now, why did I decided on the Jubilee?? the hair salon I first went into in fact was Hayato but the guy was cocky and with attitude so I left their premise... My hair stylist's name is Yukiko, very professional and polite, I did twice bleaching, color and hair cut, I went for balayage ombré with so baby light in the tone of grey blue lilac ish kind of theme, I also had hair mask done as well. Overall i like my experience although the price was a bit high, considering it is however in Covent Garden, everything will b higher price point. On my first visit I didn't get the desired color, therefore, YUkiko offered me to come back the following week to fix my color, and I would require to pay if I need bleaching, otherwise I won't. I like how my haircut went, I just trimmed about 2-3 inches n cleaned up the end since bleaching pretty much kill my hair anyways lol. My other half had a hair cut all went well, he had a junior stylist cut his hair n he payed 35£ n he like it so that's all it matters. Product they use for hair colouring is Wella, I wish they uses Olaplex but oh well. Overall experience it was great! Definitely recommend and would go back to YuKiko.
