Coming from Orlando, this venue is so much better than what we have. I wanted to transport Stage AE to Orlando so we can actually have decent bands come through again. Getting through security was smooth and simple. I love the outside area to step away from the music or grab a drink away from the crowds. Of course drinks will be expensive, it's downtown, this is why you grab a drink somewhere beforehand, there's plenty of spots. I absolutely loved being able to stand basically level to the stage. Being height challenged, I appreciate being able to actually see for once! I love Stage AE and will most likely travel back if Orlando continues to have terrible music venues! read more

I love how open and spacious this venue is. Never have had issues being able to see in the inside stage, lighting and doing quality is good. Lots of available (paid) parking nearby. Just make sure you check if it's a game day before you go to avoid any extra traffic read more

This is a nice concert venue with an indoor and outdoor stage. I recently saw a show for the first time outside. I had GA tickets so was able to go on the lawn. We found a pretty good spot. They have plenty of concession areas and they have bathroom trailers that were pretty clean to my surprise. Would definitely see another show here! read more

Don't bother with this venue. Nice size and set up, but the PA cut out not once, but twice during Bruce Dickinson, on 9/13/2025, causing the show to end over 30 minutes early. Unacceptable! Also, they charge 4 dollars for a cup of tap water. Ridiculous! Will never return. read more

Stage AE is an outstanding venue. I was there for an outdoor concert a couple of weeks back...Clutch, Dinosaur Jr, and Red Fang. Yes, the show was awesome! From the moment I arrived, parking was easy to find and reasonably priced ($12) even though my spot was just across the street from the venue. The staff checking pockets and tickets were engaging and friendly. Throughout the event, most staff selling beverages were friendly. In case you haven't been, this is one (I think) of just three venues like it in the country. One big stage that remains unmoved, and opens (huge garage-like door) to the outdoor venue. The stage leads to a large pit, adjoined in the rear by box tables/chairs, walkway, and lawn that gradually elevates. There is not a bad sight line in the venue. During the summer and for smaller shows, the same stage is used for an inward facing set-up that has a pit, GA elevated area, and a second floor with box seats and GA space. There are drink and merchandise stands nearby. Bathrooms are also nearby. The sound was excellent. The heart sold-out crowd engaging. Crowd surfing is prohibited, but moshing is not. Great venue. One of my favorites. Be sure to go. Postscript: The other two are in Columbus (OH) and, I believe in KY just across the Ohio River from Cincy. read more

I've been to a few shows here and it's always a good time! I do prefer the outdoor space much more. It seems easier to navigate and be able to see. Inside is okay, the floor space is difficult as you're trying not to block the bar or the merch table or the bathrooms. Sound wise it's not bad, definitely can hear no matter where you're standing. read more

We came for the Mastodon/ Lamb of God tour. Great experience from the beginning. Tickets were easy to purchase and access. We did purchase fast pass tickets but when we got there there was no wait so those were pointless. Lol. Security was professional and got us through quickly. There were no assigned seats which meant you could stand wherever. The merchandise and restrooms were located at the front. Several food and beverage selections around the periphery of the outdoor stage. Easy to get right in front of stage. One of the ushers told us about vip seating so we paid a little extra and had amazing seats and comfort . Enjoyed our shows immensely. Even during the downpour , we stuck it out. I love outdoor shows though, and this venue was very nice. Will definitely return. Only complaint....in womens bathroom No one restocked the paper towels in any of the dispensaries. But the bathrooms were clean. Highly recommend this venue read more

I love outdoor shows here but lately they haven't been the same. They sell too many tickets outside, like there is legit no room at sold out, outdoor shows. Ushers are ridiculous and are very strict about standing in certain areas. Bar lines are short though. Good sound throughout. Still one of the best place to see a show in PGH though. read more

I thought I was going to an outdoor concert venue in July -- all ready to be sweaty all night! But there's a smaller, indoor section to this venue, and that's where the show took place... thank goodness. There was plenty of standing room, either down in front of the stage or in back near the bars. There's an upper level of seating, as well. There was never a wait at the bar, and there were plenty of restrooms, too! I thought the professional staff there handled everything as best as they could've and the show as a great time. Excellent venue for a show. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Drinks are pricy but that's expected for the area. Both indoor and outdoor shows are excellent. More room outside but still an intimate venue for bigger acts. Parking nearby is also a bit expensive but that's what is expected being in town. I did purchase the Twisted Tea patio before the concert. Made it nice to enter early but the restrooms weren't available until the main doors opened. We didn't appreciate that part of it but overall an awesome time was had on every visit. Highly recommended. Will return again soon for more great shows and memories! read more

I was originally going to see Marina at the Rebel in Toronto again but found VIP tickets still available here after that show was cancelled. I considered the mezzanine again because I had such a great view from there at the Rebel, but it looked further back here and I was able to get a spot right up front. This venue looks a little more bare bones and warehouse-y to me. Lights and sound were fine. I never had a drink at the bar. No coat check which seems strange, but since I snagged a spot up front there was a railing for my jacket. Crowding wasn't a problem until after the show was over because some jerks really wanted setlists of all things. Also wanna add that they are great with communication. I emailed a couple questions the other day and received a prompt and helpful reply. read more

Saw Kraftwerk at Stage AE and was pleased with the entry, venue, and service. It's not a large venue (when you are indoors), so we were quite close to the stage. Great little intimate venue, both indoors and out, in an easy to access location with plenty of parking and places to dine before and after the show. While I'm a fan of the larger amphitheaters that are found outside of downtowns, Stage AE offers an urban experience that you can't get any other way. Parking on the North Shore is easy - be sure to grab a spot in the $10 lot right across from the side of the venue, or get free on-street parking if you don't mind waiting until after 6pm on a weekday. I've been to a handful of shows here and the staff is always kind and efficient. The bathrooms are always a bit cramped and not always in the best working order but it's no worse than any other music venue. The speakers are beautiful - it's one of the places where I can stand close to the stage and hear every single sound yet somehow not have ringing ears when I head home! The indoor/outdoor flexibility of this space makes it a great year-round option and if you're outside you can beat the view of downtown and the stadiums as you take in the show. There's very little to no seating outdoors so wear comfy shoes and clothes because you will be on your feet for hours! read more

Friends and I visited from Ohio for an Illenium concert here last week. From the outside looking in, the venue was very similar to one we have in Columbus so I assumed from the jump that it would be a good time. We arrived about two hours after the doors opened and there was no line at all. We walked right in after having our bags checked and tickets scanned. While we missed one of the openers, we didn't mind because we missed the rush. I never used the restroom while I was there but I did get some water and a few drinks. Both were pretty affordable. One thing I didn't like was how giant the water bottles were. They were very annoying to carry around, especially because they take the caps. They have lawn seating as well as a pit, and a VIP area. While my group stayed closer to the stage, every angle seemed to have a good view. As for the sound and production of the show, it was great. I didn't notice any issues until a storm came in and they had to stop the show and evacuate us. After recent incidents at other concert venues regarding rain or shine shows, I appreciate that they let us leave and come back in. Afterall, it was definitely a safety concern. There was hard rain, thunder, lightning, wind, all of it. Once the storm moved through everything was back on. One bummer was that we were watching their IG closely to see when the show would resume and they didn't leave us much time to get back from where we went to get shelter. By the time we returned the headliner was 2 songs in. Other than that, everything was awesome. We loved the fireworks, confetti, lasers, and pyro on top of the amazing music we all love. If another favorite artist of mine happens to be playing here, I would definitely consider making the drive. read more

A great outdoor venue! Love amphitheater's because the sound can travel and you don't feel like you're going deaf by the end of the night. Entry was seamless through metal detectors and security checked bags. They have a bag policy for small bags or clear larger bags. I saw a few people turned away because of the size of their purse, so the policy is taken seriously! read more

Don't pay those ridiculous TicketMaster fees...! Searched TicketMaster for a particular concert my son wanted to attend. Cheapest ticket was $87 PLUS FEES. I went down to the box office at Stage AE yesterday and the box office attendant sold me a ticket for $32.50 plus $4 (their fee). She was super friendly & helpful and couldn't have been any nicer. Stage AE is a great spot for shows. The venue is outdoor with plenty of space for whatever you want to do! There are a handful of bars around the grounds to grab refreshments, bathrooms are both in the front and the back. The sound system is amazing, the show sounded perfect. The Pittsburgh backdrop added to the aesthetics. Everything was awesome. I will totally go back to Stage AE. read more

Great place to see a show. Both indoor and outdoor facilities have great acoustics. It can get a bit stuffy when shows are sold out. But there are also a bunch of great places to "pre-game" at on the north shore before a show. read more

Attended a show recently and was happy to see that Stage AE is taking Covid precautions seriously. It's important for everyone, but I feel that protecting the community is especially important in an urban area that's as packed with colleges and hospitals as Pittsburgh is. A physical or digital vaccination card or negative Covid test from the last 72 hours was required to get in. The card fits pretty easily in a small purse, so it wasn't a big deal. Show was outside, but the staff was still masked to be safe. I wore a mask for the show, but I was absolutely in the minority in the crowd. But it was an outdoor show and everyone was vaccinated or Covid negative, so fair enough. I wonder if that would look different for an indoor show. I also sat in a VIP box seat, which outdoors is a nice area with chairs and tables. I was even able to be 6ft+ from my nearest neighbor during the show because the box was not crowded. Overall, I think it was about as safe as an event gathering as the Stage AE staff could make it, which again I was very happy to see. I don't know how much longer the weather will hold out for outdoor concerts or how much longer it will be reasonably safe to gather outdoors, but for the time being this seems like a pretty safe entertainment option if protecting yourself, your loved ones, and your community from the pandemic is important to you. Recommend. read more

Great North Shore venue! I've gone to Stage AE for multiple events and we have always had an amazing time. Been there for Zumba, Nightnation and more. Some concerts have a size restriction on purses. Standing room. Stage roof opens at some events. They run a pretty smooth operation. Go check it out. Street or parking lot/ garage parking. read more

This is truly my favorite concert venue in the city of Pittsburgh! After seeing over 30 shows here, I would say that I personally prefer their outdoor concerts over their indoor shows. Their outdoor stage has a lot more room for dancing and walking around but heir indoor space is much more intimate. Stage AE is great because of their central location and its' magnificent concert line up. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to catch their favorite artist in the city! read more

I love this venue so much. I'm so happy we have something mid-size like this to fill the void we had missing for so many years. I remember a time when popular acts that couldn't fill a stadium would pass the Burgh up and it would make me so sad. Now I've seen some of my favorite bands because of Stage AE being here! Is there a downside? Of course! The bar gets backed up, the bathrooms tend to get gross once the show is starting and mostly the people can get annoying... But that's not even the venue's fault! I've stood in probably every corner of the venue and there's truly not a bad place to be. You can see the show from every angle, and I love that. It's BS when there's obstructed view seats. I recently had the opportunity to watch a show from the VIP tent at the top of the amphitheater during an outdoor show. While my tickets were complimentary, I looked up the price of VIP tickets for the tent and thought it would be worth it if it's a really packed show. You have your own bar an are close to the back bathrooms (thank god!). For the inside, sometimes shows don't have reserved seating upstairs and you can snag a seat up there, which offers a really great view. Again, if you truly love the band and don't want to deal with the pit inside, snag a VIP as a splurge. read more

Great venue, and convenient parking (it was $12 as of Oct/2022). My first time there, security is pretty tight (which is good) and even with metal detectors, they get you through quick. There's a great selection of places to view the performance (we were there for Sabaton). I would definitely go back. read more

Poorly run venue where choices show management doesn't care about the guest experience. I saw Marina here on Feb 19 2022. She was wonderful but I would never go back to that venue. LINE TO GET IN: Doors opened at 6:30 so I arrived at 7:30 only to find the line wrapped around almost the entire block. The indoor portion of the venue is capacity 2,500 and I would estimate 2,000 were in line. People at the front of the line told me they had waited over an hour. So I left and went to a bar next door not to have to wait in 19 degrees. I saw on Stage AE's Instagram that someone commented that people can skip the line and go in a different entrance if they're American Eagle rewards members. I signed up on my phone for free and started telling other people, several of whom already were rewards members and did not know about this. While hundreds of people were shivering in line, we walked up to an entrance where no one was waiting and instead two security guards were standing doing nothing. I was grateful to get in fast and also shocked they would waste one of a total two or three metal detectors and two staff members like this when there is such a long line outside. Also, isn't the point of a membership fast line to convert people to become members? Why not have someone walking the line encouraging people to sign up? Also, 2,500 people is not even that many; it is like a large nightclub. There are professional consultants who can tell operator PromoWest Productions how to streamline entry so they're not leaving people outside for an hour. RUDE STAFF, EMPTY SEATS: The show was sold out and almost all standing general admission, but there are probably 100 or more seats and risers roped off on the mezzanine. Almost all of them were empty so I asked a staff member at the rope how I could upgrade to those and he said they can be reserved but not on the same day of the show. Why? I asked a few more questions and he became agitated and rude. I think it's such a weird design choice to want to keep seats on a mezzanine empty - imagine how that looks to the performer. Also, after the show I bought a shirt, stepped away and immediately a staffer came up and said something to the effect of "get out." It was literally a few minutes after the show ended! I should add I also interacted with several kind bartenders, one of whom was working the upstairs bar alone and working SO hard! It made me sad he was scheduled alone. Overall with the line and the rudeness they seemed possibly understaffed which made me wonder how much they pay their employees. I was going to leave one star but I went up to two because I thought the sound engineering was good, especially for a warehouse-style space. But overall I would be embarrassed to be the venue operator. read more

$3.50 for a simple bottle of water at a show ??? Really...not cool Beerfest 2017 Summer: what an amazing event! I have been to several beer fest in the past and I think it's really grown into this huge fun event for any beer lover. I remember when it was only a small portion of stage AE now..this event takes up the entire property and stage AE. The event was organized very well. .no shortage of restrooms..Live music was awesome and plenty of food trucks... BRGR and pirogi .. to name a few. I love that my beloved southern tier had several tents..,I love the lemon drop. We had a difficult time finding the exit ( ha ha) and just decided to go out the way we came in. how convenient it was pedal cabs everywhere... I was beat.. not much seating at the beer fest. This was my first opportunity to experience shock rocker Alice Cooper in a more intimate concert setting and I loved every minute. The price for admission was less than the concert tshirt or patch and I would have paid more without hesitation. I had general admission and was in the second row behind the stage. There was no seating, but who can sit when the man, the legend himself - Alice Cooper - is singing? There are always issues, but needing a clear bag isn't a dealbreaker for me. I prefer my real camera, but only cellphones are allowed. As you can see, they are enough. I can't wait to go back! read more

Every year, we love coming to the holiday pops and any other special events that sound great. We have been coming since Marvin Hamlish was leading the symphony. The symphony is world class and always sounds amazing. The Mendelssohn Choir always puts on a great show too. We also love the guest singers and guest conductors. It was also nice to see the talented members of the Pittsburgh Ballet. Everyone was so talented. Santa always makes it special for the kids. The song a long is our favorite part. The concert puts us in the holiday spirit. We love seeing what who is appearing every season. It's always a fun night out. Everyone at the theater is always very friendly and helpful.

There is a variety of programming offered from cabaret style solo performances to smaller scale musicals. There are seating options in booths, tables and a raised platform in the back. you can really see/hear well from anywhere in the venue, but the side booths you might lose some perspective. i don't particularly like the new QR code ordering because it can make it hard to actually ask questions about anything (and the servers are so busy it is hard to catch them to ask).. there are a variety of food and drink choices (apps and entrees) and they are on the more pricey side, but that is to be expected at this type of venue. This review is focused on the service aspects, which are less than optimal. We attended on a Thursday night when we saw an excellent 1-man play of Die Hard. The entertainment was highly enjoyable, but the food and table service were frustrating. We came an hour early with a plan to enjoy dinner before the show. They don't have anyone who will wait on you - they force you to use their QR code at the table to order. Most of their dinner options were marked as "out of stock", so we were corralled into ordering a burger or a pasta dish. Those items were very good, but we didn't like the railroading aspect. Post-delivery service was limited, to even get extra mayo - the food deliverer dumped and ran in a flash. Trying to talk to the nice elderly ushers was fruitless with no satisfaction involved. When we had questions about the food, ours even amicably acknowledged that we ''couldn't talk to'' the waitresses. Worst of all - the invoicing included an un-changeable 20% tip! So if you ordered a 2nd drink, 20% was also added on top of that. (To have some sense of control, I went to the outside bar to get our 2nd drinks - and did tip, but not 20%). The frustration factor of how the food service is run and charged for inserted unnecessary challenges into the otherwise pleasant mood for the evening.

The show itself was exciting and tongue in cheek at times. The Altar Boyz brought energy and comedy to the room and kept everyone engaged - even bringing up an audience member for one of the numbers! The staff seemed very professional but also extremely on the slow side. We ordered some drinks right when we got there and we were 30 minutes early for the show. Well the drinks showed up about two minutes before the show and not all at the same time. I got mine while my H was still waiting for his. 30 minutes is really excessive to wait for a drink, and they weren't cheap so please don't make me wait so long to wet my whistle. Continued with the slower service the waiters waited until the end to hand out checks. I guess this was ok, but it seems like they should have handed those out 15-20 minutes before the show was over so people could square up and leave when the show was over, not wait for 15-20 minutes more to give your check with payment to the server so they can charge you. We thought we could go out to the bar and pay there. Well we were wrong. I actually ended up ordering another drink finished it and paid for that one at the bar before our waiter came to collect our tab. I think in the future my best bet maybe to just pay cash or order at the bar to begin with. Otherwise loved the place and look forward to coming back to see another great show!

They keep it up really well and make sure that it is clean for every show. They also keep the chandeliers clean and the paint updated. The ushers are always helpful and the staff at the concessions are nice too. We have seen so many wonderful Broadway Shows and concerts there with so many talented performers. We're so lucky to have such amazing talent and so many amazing shows come to Pittsburgh every year. We're also starting to get some of the most popular and current shows from Broadway. The concerts are so much better there since it's a small venue and most seats are good seats. They have artists from all different genres which is nice too. We have also seen some good comedians there too. If you want to see a good show then you should see it at the Benedum.

As far as the food, the pierogi was awesome, my son loved the chicken Alfredo, I thought my flatbread was very good, and my husband's smashburger was, in his words, "fine." So 3/4 get glowing reviews lol.... Service was very good as well. I was a bit surprised that the kitchen closed quite early for a weekend, but since we all went back to the hotel with full stomachs it all worked out.

Yesterday I was out for drinks. The night's vict-- server was Erin. She recommended the Snowfall in Montego Bay. She made an excellent recommendation. It was made of a clove infused Jamaican rum, banana, cinnamon, rosemary, honey coconut, and apple cider. The blend of flavors was well-balanced and helped prevent any one flavor dominating the drink. So if you don't like any of the listed ingredients you should be safe to order because they all worked in harmony to prevent offending your palate. In the meantime, I need to make sure to return for dinner again.

He was taking care of us as well as quite a few other tables and parties which led to things being on the slower side service wise. We waited quite a while for our desserts and for our check. To be fair, we did go during their first night of service back so I'm sure they still have some kinks to work out and it wouldn't stop me from coming back. We ordered a little bit of everything to share family style and our cocktails were delicious and the food was somehow even better! Standout dishes included the focaccia with chicken fat butter, the duck rillette, butcher burger, and dirty pasta. The dirty pasta was phenomenal and I can't stop thinking about it. We ordered one of each dessert and loved them all but the baked alaska was our favorite. I definitely want to come back and try more dishes!

A friend asked me if I would like to go out to get some berries. We got there after berry picking time for the day, which closed around 2 PM, but there was still plenty of time to buy berries in their market, freshly picked by their workers, and enjoy other fun things at the farm! We fed the goats, who were the sweetest, tamest goats I have ever met. (Frankly, they completely changed my opinion about goats, with which I have had some unpleasant memories in the past.) You can pay a quarter for some food and feed it to them by hand, and not a single one took it from me anything less than gently. There is also a super cute feature where you can send some food up to goats standing at the top of the pen via a pulley system. There were several baby goats here when we visited and they were ridiculously adorable. From there it was a stop at the café window where we ordered strawberry lemonade slushies that were an absolute delight. It was late in the day and they were out of several of the food offerings; I was told by my friend that the hot pretzel is fantastic, but didn't get to find out. So I went with some freshly made donuts, and it was only a few dollars for half a dozen blueberry donuts. They are wonderful eaten fresh just like this, but when you take them home you can heat them up for 10 seconds to get that just-out-of-the-oven taste. Finally we stopped in the shop which is full of all kinds of home, pantry and fresh food items. I came home with a pint of raspberries, a big bunch of strawberries (last of the season!), jars of pickled beets and bread and butter pickles, and a block of baby Swiss cheese. Everything has been absolutely fantastic and it would be easy to go absolutely wild in this store. Lots of events here during different seasons, especially apple and pumpkin season in fall which is their busiest time. After that they close for the year at Halloween. Come out and pick some berries or fresh lavender here this summer! It's a local gem.

Paying $20 for such a poor experience felt like a complete waste. What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled. I returned the box and explained the issue. The employee simply took it back without any apology, explanation, or attempt to make things right. There was no offer of a partial refund, a voucher to come back when berries were actually available, or any acknowledgment that the experience had fallen far short of expectations. I understand that crops and harvest conditions can vary. What I don't understand is advertising a good picking experience when there is very little fruit available and then showing complete indifference when a customer expresses disappointment. Customer service matters just as much as the product. Unfortunately, this business failed on both counts. I won't be returning, and I would encourage others to call ahead and verify conditions before making the trip.
