It'll have valet parking (that I won't use), security on patrol, emergency phones every so often, moving sidewalks (because I would prefer this method of travel over escalators and stairs...for a better visual of the surroundings and it's fun), golf cart pick-up and drop offs, maybe a restaurant at the top...basically I want an airport turned into a parking garage minus the planes. This could be a lucrative business. My dream parking garage probably has something to do with my obsession with Criminal Minds (shout-out to Shemar Moore for making my Wednesdays a little bit more beautiful). Every other episode has a kidnapping in a parking garage and I feel like we as a nation need to up our security in these dimly lit and eerie boxes of entrapment. Luckily, the Union Plaza Parking Garage and Terminal is pretty dang safe. They do have security at the front of the building and it appears as though they are continually watching monitors. I've never ran into any unsavory characters in this parking garage so kudos for that! In general, all of the parking garages in downtown are relatively safe and the only incident I've ever heard of happening in any downtown parking garage wasn't real, but an extremely riveting story to watch (The Bridge filmed a bomb-threat scene in the Convention Center Parking Garage...although that seemed a strange place for a fictional employee of the El Paso Times to park since the UPP is closer...now you know). This parking garage is also a bus terminal that is clean and has plenty of sheltered waiting. Great for anyone catching the bus downtown during EP's one month winter, when it's rainy or on a rather windy day. This is one of my two favorite parking garages downtown because a lot of the time it's free, but it's almost always at a charge on the weekends or at night. But I prefer parking here if I'm venturing over to the Union Plaza restaurants, bars, and clubs at night because I know there will be a open spot and I won't have to stumble six blocks to my car.

We parked our vehicle on Sunday and picked it back up on Thursday when we were headed home. All I can say is if you ever need to park your vehicle for long or short term parking this would be the place to use. Very safe, very nice and easy to get in and out of. We were very impressed. They have security guards on the premises. There is a sheltered area with seating. The price was very reasonable as well. $10.00 a day. Theron was the name of the person we dealt with over the phone and he was very courteous, professional and extremely helpful. I didn't get the security guards name but he too was very professional, kind and compassionate. Both the Union Plaza Parking/Terminal and the El Paso Civic Center Parking/Terminal are both owned by the same company and are only 2 blocks away from one another. We chose the Union Plaza because it was only a 2 block walk from the parking lot to Amtrak. The El Paso Civic Center Parking was a 4 block walk and being my husband is handicapped it was easier on him to handle the 2 blocks over the 4 blocks. I highly recommend either of these two parking places. I'm sure we will need their services again with my husband and I having to make the trip to the Houston TX VA medical hospital.

The plaza is located right across from the Basilica of San Albino and is surrounded by numerous boutique shops and restaurants. Mesilla isn't very big, so you can definitely see the whole historic area in a short amount of time. The plaza is somewhat plain, but it is highlighted by a gazebo displaying the US and Mexico flags, as well as benches to sit on to take in the sights. While the plaza isn't worth seeing specifically, it is one of the reasons why Mesilla is worth visiting.

For an untowered airfield, its always a little stressful coming in, however tons of air activity and every one let us land no problem. The FBO heard us coming and met us out on the pad. They took care of everything so all we had to do was grab our bags and enjoy our time in cruces. If your flying privately, HIGHLY recommend stopping here for your aviation needs.

I practically missed it because it was impressed by the design in and of itself. The place is already set up for Christmas, but I wasn't sure if they had done a Christmas tree lighting yet. In the daytime, with the blue sky above, the tree looked beautiful though. I like that there is plenty of seating around the plaza, both covered and uncovered. The plaza is within walking distance of several eateries, casual and fine dining, and the historic Rio Grande Theater. I would like to return for the seasonal special events for sure.

They have so many shops including this heavily recommended bookstore that my husband likes called Coas Bookstore. They say once you enter in that bookstore, it's hard to walk out and you will get lost. It's like a maze! The Plaza is very clean with decent parking and has excellent food and even the public is friendly and approachable. The tiles of the sidewalks are detailed and every shop is decorated for the holidays.
