I went the typical route and checked with all of the big box stores to get samples and quotes. On the way home from the big box stores we decided to stop by 5 Flooring & Plus showroom located in Lavon. We were immediately greeted by a professional/knowledgeable woman at the front desk along with the owner (J.J.). J.J. was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He has almost 20 years of experience in the flooring and tile industry. He was extremely patient with my wife and I as we were very anxious about such a large project. The biggest difference between talking to J.J. is you are getting an experienced person who has installed all of the products on the showroom and will be able to help you truly pick what is best for your family and budget. My wife was very impressed with how good J.J. was at picking out flooring, tiles and how up to date he was on what was in style now and what looks timeless. After speaking with him for a few minutes I knew we had found our company since we were talking to the flooring expert vs someone who had to take a course to be onboarded into the flooring department of the big box store. We ended up picking waterproof vinyl plank flooring, upgraded baseboards and tile for bathrooms and laundry room. The prices were very competitive and MUCH better than big box stores. We came in at the perfect time since JJ and his crew had just finished another job and were available to start work as soon as possible. The crew showed up on time and every member of the team was nice, professional and respectful. The team moved all of our furniture without any hesitation and treated everything as if it were their own home. They finished our entire home in about 2 days. His tile guys are true artists and made our kitchen look amazing! This is truly a family owned business and I met a few members of J.J.'s family during process and they were all wonderful. There were no surprises when the final invoice came in and J.J. and his team did everything exactly as promised. No more do it yourself projects for me! I will be calling J.J. and his team back for many future jobs and can't recommend them highly enough. Pick this company and I promise you will not regret it at all.

Charlotte was recommended to me by my one of my previous stagers, who moved out of the DFW area. I looked at a number of stagers, but what I liked about Charlotte initially is that she had her own decorations and furniture. It's common in the DFW area for stagers to rent the furniture, which means they charge multiple month minimums. I have numerous investment properties and when I sell one, I want it to go fast. I don't like paying for time I won't need. I also know that staging is critical to the sales process. Most buyers don't have the imagination to picture what a home could look like when it's empty. Rooms tend to look smaller without some furniture, and flow doesn't seem as natural. Back to Charlotte. After she did the staging, I was more than impressed. It was perfection. I didn't have a single suggestion. She even pointed out things that my contractors had missed, (this was a flip), so I made them come back and fix them. She has a great eye. The place looked fabulous. How fabulous? This house was in Plano, TX, which admittedly is a hot market. However, in 48 hours, we had 55 scheduled showings. In the first 24 hours, we had 4 offers. We were priced fairly, but not too high. The offer we accepted 24 hours after putting it for sale was 6% over asking and in cash with a 7 day close. Think staging with Charlotte Lloyd isn't worth the money? Think again. I sell my homes to make money and staging has always gotten me a higher price and a faster close. And Charlotte is one of the best stagers I've seen.
