I went here after a friend recommended it and after I realized there was a geocaching opportunity here. First, it is a little difficult to find unless you actively do some research. I agree with the first poster. Go all the way to the end of Lehigh and park there. This is definitely the best way to access the park. Once you park, you cross over a bridge into a playground area with tables and a covered place. This is rarely ever occupied. The day I went there were only two people in the park. The other half of the park is dominated by a stream bed with waterfalls and a large wooded area (I believe this is actually part of BU's nature preserve). The stream makes for great hiking, if you have proper footwear. Nike running shoes won't cut it (these are what I was wearing and you WILL slip). Get some hiking shoes. The other thing, my geocache information told me to look for a marked trail but I have yet to find this. In other words - there may be a nice hiking trail if you prefer not to mess around in the rocks and water, but I've yet to be able to find it.
Overall, this is an amazing part of the Binghamton park system that is relatively unknown which makes it relaxing and quite enjoyable. read more
