Stan and Bev are worth the trip alone. Stan is quite the character; he had as laughing almost the whole time. Bev is a sweet heart. They both know their stuff and helped us "newbies" from making some major mistakes while saving us money. SO MUCH better than going to Home Depot or other large store. You CAN'T beat the one on one service and wealth of knowledge this duo have. It truly is a gem and I swear we looked forward all winter to going back this spring. Wow Stan and Bevs is awesome! They have great prices and Stan was so helpful and sweet, and also very funny. I'll definitely be coming back here. I bought an olive tree, and some Rosemary and lavender bushes. They had crepe myrtle trees and at a great price, but not in the color I wanted. Stan was so nice to order them for me in the color I was looking for. Now That's what I call service. He was also very knowledgeable and gave me great advice and care for some citrus trees I already have. Overall very impressed. This nursery has been around since the early 80s. I just moved here and I'm glad I found this place. You should definitely check them out. read more

We stopped by to pick up some Phormiums for our backyard. They had a good selection of them. Great people. Really nice. Wish we could had gotten some kid of deal but all in all great experience we will be returning here for all our plant needs! Excellent local nursery with the best customer service in the area. I visited another nursery that was supposed to have a high star rating. It was a dismal disappointment. I was really glad we went over to Stan and Bev's Country Nursery. With an excellent selection of products. If they do not have it they can more than likely get it for you. The wife and I came to this nursery after reading the other 5 star review on Yelp and we are so thankful to have found this gem of a nursery! We walked in and I told my wife, now this is a nursery! Plants, trees, all sorts of beatiful colors everywhere you looked. Then a very kind man came up and asked us if we needed any help, it was Stan, just an all around cool guy. He was so helpful, told us all about the zones and what plants worked well in our area. Gave us many ideas of what to plant, where, how much sun, etc. I tell you, I love this guy! Super funny also. We left with many plants, and got a few that attracted hummingbirds and butterflies, got some roses, all sorts of great plants, and great prices. I can't wait until March when it's time to get the garden going, we'll be back here for sure! read more

What can I say about this place. I called looking for a Japanese Bloodgood Maple and unfortunately Stan didn't have one. He called a friend who happen to have some available so he worked the deal for us and personally delivered the tree himself. This kind of customer service is truly second to none!! Stan and Bev the owners are a super nice couple. They really know their stuff too. Stan helped us pick out trees that are best suited for our backyard. He also ordered us the trees we needed because he didn't feel the ones he had in stock were healthy enough. He delivered the trees this morning and helped us plan the lay out of our front yard landscape. We have a huge yard that still need a lot more plants and we plan on getting them all from here. Stan & Bev are great! We were greeted by Stan when we arrived, very cool cat. We went there to purchase plants for our front planter area and let him know it was mostly shaded & we wanted pretty low maintenance plants. He went right to it grabbing all kids of plants, different colors & textures to his everything depth & really showed us what we could do. He was great and it was SO reasonable. We also got 2 maples which were on sale for $25 each! They were 3-4 ft tall. Overall great deal and great service. The selection & service cannot be duplicated @ Home Depot. read more

Well my visit to Stan and Bev's Country Nursery yesterday, was just fabulous! Stan kept me laughing the entire time! He was a delight to work with. I was amazed at the extensive knowledge that both Stan and Bev, and their helper had about every kind of plant and vegetable there is!! I was also impressed that if a plant did not look healthy, he would say so, and find you one that was. I got great information on how to plant them in my garden. They have made a lifelong customer out of me! Heck I would go there just to say "Hi" to all of them! And the prices were extremely reasonable. What a joyful experience! This nursery is awesome! I'm a first time gardener and pretty much have no clue what to do. I did tons of research online on how to garden, but it's just not the same as having an actual person tell you how it's done. I'm sure glad I found this place, because they were the human interaction I needed for gardening tips. I found this place through Google. Wow - this place is amazing - didn't think there were any 'old school' places like this any more, but there is! Stan was great - he walked around the nursery with me, explaining what I need to to to start a garden and we also looked at drought resistant plants for my yard. Have been wanting to check this place out, always an ad in the Manteca Bopper Shopper. We badly needed a tree for shade in our small, west-facing backyard, something that would only grow about 15-20 ft. Knowing nothing about tree types, except the definition of "deciduous", Stan greeted us and started feeding us so much information that we were able to go home and study the choices and decide which tree(s) would suit our purpose. Stan and Bev are the nicest people you could ever meet! Walking through their nursery is really nice, especially now while the weather is still cool. We even got to see one of his old classic cars and hear about the ones he used to own, all the while listening to the great music of the 50's. He gave us lots of planting and feeding tips, and a good deal on what we selected. You will not get service like this at the big stores. But go during the week so you can get the full experience!
