I had their Tuesday special a cheeseburger and fries and my wife their chicken salad on Texas toast. Only took 5 min. to make and went to the front of the store where they have seating. Everything was excellent the burger had so much flavor the fries were crispy but not over done. My wife's chicken salad sandwich was thick with chicken salad on toasted Texas toast. With a can of Coke our order came to 12.50. Not bad for two of us. Before leaving we did get the groceries we originally had stopped for. Not bad prices on their meats so we stocked up on steaks cold meat and a few pounds of brats. So if you're in the neighborhood stop by and enjoy a quick breakfast or lunch and get ya a few groceries.

We bought some ribs, some chicken meatballs, and some steaks. The steaks were pretty thin cut, I'm guessing to keep the prices low. I could call them and have them carve some thicker steaks, but their prices are very high. I have a local butcher shop that charges about $15/lb less for the same wagyu steak. So I'm going to stick with my local butcher for now. I'd like to make a trip down to Whitefeather once in a while because they stock meats that other shops do not, such as kangaroo, elk, and venison. It was a perfect way to get a sense of the differences between some of the varieties (standard vs smoked vs aged for example). Most cheese could be purchased in blocks, slices and cubes. They also had some beef stick options, dips and cheese fudge. I had never heard of cheese fudge before so was very intrigued. It had a different texture and flavor than traditional fudge but was definitely worth trying. They also have traditional fudge on the other side of the store. There were workers behind the counter actively packing cheese and willing to answer any questions you might have. Much like other tourist attractions, you have to walk through the gift shop to get to the cash registers. The line was kind of long, but it moved fairly quickly. This was a great stop with a lot of tasty products. Definitely recommend a visit!

They had several produce vendors represented and as we made our rounds, something in my universe suddenly shifted because I caught the sight and smell of something special. We came upon a vendor (KT Eggs), selling fresh chicken sausage and organic eggs. I could not tell you anything else because I suddenly became fixated on that sausage. We taste it and BAM!!, the magic happens. This is the type of sausage, (Extra Hot Italian), we have been searching for since leaving New York several years ago. It is minimally processed, low in sodium and absolutely delicious! The ingredients are chicken, water and spices. WHAT? You mean I not only get fresh homemade sausage but I also recognize the ingredients? Get out!!! Wow, this sausage alone was worth the trip to the market and as I write this review I am enjoying that wonderful smell all over again. Glorious! If you want to get your hands on this sausage, I suggest you Google KT Eggs and go to their Facebook page which is full of helpful information.
