For those considering Granger Medical for their annual exams, be aware that any discussions beyond…read morea breast exam and pap smear may result in unexpected charges I recently visited Granger Medical Murray-Women's Health for my annual exam and was charged for both the exam and a level 3 office visit. When I questioned the office about this additional charge, they explained that discussions about my monthly cycle and menopause symptoms were not considered part of the annual exam and thus incurred extra fees. According to them, an annual exam only covers a breast exam and a pap smear--nothing more. This was surprising to me, as my previous OB-GYN routinely discussed my monthly cycle and general health without additional charges. Despite reaching out multiple times and leaving messages for the office manager, I never received a response

She explains issues so you understand and asking question's is welcomed. Most labs come back in a day and I'm notified immediately, this is super fast compared to a medical facility that I previously worked at. All of the Medical Assistants that I have had were excellent and caring. My only concern was the billing department not being up to date. The front office person told me I owed $30. which I had already paid 2 months prior, and it wasn't even for this office/doctor. She didn't believe me when I told her and gave me a dirty look. I felt this was very unprofessional of her and the next time I came in I had the proof with me. Going to a doctor shouldn't cause more anxiety but because I have had no other issues in over 30yrs I will not take any "stars" from my review. I have also gone to 2 other lady practitioners in this practice (Margaret and Jackie and they were wonderful also but avoid Dr. Bulaj as she is the worst doctor I've ever experienced in my life. I can't imagine how she can still be working there or anywhere!

If you call here, you will want to jump through the phone, and wring the receptionist's neck. That sounds so extreme, but that's how I felt after getting off the phone with her, and then again having to deal with her when I checked in for my appointment. I didn't appreciate her eye rolls, and under her breath sighs. I was also surprised by her behavior, because she is an older women you would think she would be more professional. The intake nurse was so nice, and helpful. So very kind when taking x-rays of my foot and vitals. Then Dr Dickerson came in and took a look at my x-rays for just a few seconds and said your foot is just fine. I said "Why does it hurt then, it feels like it's broken, especially when I walk." He said he didn't know, but if it continues to hurt come back, and then that was it. I saw him for maybe for 3 or 4 minutes at the most. Weeks later I get a bill from my insurance company saying I owe another $25 for my co-pay. Why did the rude receptionist not charge the correct co-pay in the first place, obviously she isn't very good at her job.

Dr Dickerson is great. He takes his time and explains things well and best of all he gives…read morepainless shots.

The doctor I had my appointment with was also very kind and apologized for my experience. When I was taken in the back for my appointment, there was a student who was instructed to take my vitals and then take me to an exam room. When we entered the room, there was a used hospital gown on the bench in the room, torn paper on the exam table and a tray of used supplies from someone's pelvic exam sitting next to the table. This led me to wonder if any of their supplies were sanitized and if I could even trust anyone at this practice. The office manager, Christine, is very condescending and impatient. I could hear her speaking terribly about me outside of the exam room I was in before she had even met me. She refuses constructive feedback that could be helpful. I received five reminders of my appointment. Three emails and two phone calls on the same day. Instead of realizing this is excessive, the office manager said "well I think it is nice we send out reminders." My appointment was scheduled for 4:30 PM, however, I did not see the doctor until 45 minutes after my appointment time. When I shared this, I was reprimanded multiple times and asked why I did not call since I was late to arrive. (She also accused me of being five minutes late, which was not the case). After being berated by this woman and told not to say anything to her after waiting for over a half hour, she proceeded to make me feel that my concerns were not valid (long wait, inexperienced staff, unclean room). This entire experience left me feeling terrible and dismissed. I felt unwelcome to this practice and am shocked that an office manager would speak to any patients, including brand new patients in this manner.
