It was a good experience. I didn't see the veterinarian because she was behind the scenes but she gave my two cats their shots and said they my cat is just a big cat. She didn't fat shame him which thrilled me. I got in and out fast. We checked in and were seen immediately. Stand for animals right now in my area is for a well visits only but hopefully in time it will change in the Pineville location. The price is right and I got flee and tick at a good price as well. What a fantastic experience I had with my dearest adopted kitty. All the team they are really well organized and very kind. You must follow all procedures because that is why they can run the vet. I was referred by a friend. I was very surprised about the difference with the prices. I need to spay neuter my new kitty and all vaccines. All that and also add him a chip for $120! I can't be more happy. I left him at 7am one day and picked him up the next day at the same time. That gave me enough time to get to my job. Thank you for all and everything you do! Feels a little impersonal if you're the sensitive type, but they service A LOT of animals and their owners, and still did so respectfully. I would've given them a 5, but they gave my cat a couple of vaccines even though I told them he had them 2 weeks ago. AND I had emailed them a week ago stating he didn't need them. (Notified twice) So, I'm not thrilled at the double level of toxicity in his system, esp. on the same day as major surgery. read more

The Vets come out and explain everything in detail and they have you check in without your animal to avoid unnecessary noise and contact with the other animals until it's time for your pet to be seen. On my first, and so far only, visit everything went flawlessly. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. You can tell the woman had a true love for dogs as she engaged with Ladybug (My Shepherd) in a loving manner. I was easily checked in and asked to wait. I can't imagine I waited more than 10 minutes before the nurse came and took us to a room. The nurse was also very friendly and helpful. Ladybug decided it was time to take a poop in the middle of the checkup room, so she did. The nurse was very understanding and cleaned up the mess herself, even though I offered to do it myself. That alone was enough for the 5 stars as this is going above and beyond customer service. The doctor was very informative, thorough and sympathize with the treatment cost. She offered very well received alternatives and options, which I truly appreciated. The facilities are spotless and welcoming. I do not have a single complaint or even minor nuisance about this. I was thrilled with my experience having my dog neutered at Stand for Animals. At first I was concerned that the prices were so low- I thought maybe it would be dirty or gross or terrible,but the complete opposite is true. The clinic is clean, neat and homey and just as nice as other for profit vets I have been to. The staff is kind, caring and professional. It was a group setting for paperwork and instructions but that didn't bother me. All the post-op instructions were clear and helpful. I was sent home with a happy puppy, pain meds, and an e collar. They even have an option for micro chipping and a nail trim. It has been 12 days since his surgery and his incision is healing perfectly with no complications. Highly recommend. read more

First off, they are a nonprofit so they're pricing is very reasonable and I could sense a pride in the work they do. When we dropped off our chihuahua, turtle, the staff was very professional and most of all, efficient. Their system for checking in pets for procedures works like a finely oiled machine. This is the best veterinary experience I've ever had, they are quick, efficient, and best of all affordable. Stand for animals never overcharges you like a lot of vets do, you get what you ask for and they take care of your pet. Due to this, it's less personal and may seem rushed to some, but they have a system In place to make sure your pets are taken care of, wether it be surgery or vaccinations. The staff is always nice, just don't expect a lot of one on one time with a vet or anything. I've never used their wellness check ups, which I think you can schedule to talk to a vet, but I will always use stand for animals for spay/neuter and vaccinations. She was alert, happy to see me, all of the things that needed to be done were done and all of the paperwork was perfectly in order as were the medications, just as the lady said they would be. I was a nervous wreck bringing my 6 month old puppy Millie here this morning. Absolutely nervous. She was nervous too. Being in the clinic made her anxiety level go up a notch or two, which for her is rare since she is happy 99% of the time. They were, as stated, a well oiled machine that checked Millie in and got me out in 10 mins. I am looking forward to heading back in 3 hours to get my baby but the staff were wonderful and check in was a breeze. They promised to take care of her and I am thankful for that! I tried calling when they opened and it sent me to a general mailbox. I walked in to get a simple rabies vaccination for my dogs. I was quickly turned away by their staff with no assistance. You could tell they were buckling under the stress of so many people at their counter. They told me they don't accept walk-ins. I took Ferris in to the Pineville SNC clinic this morning for his neuter procedure and was so happy with the whole thing! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The check-in was done as a group with everyone else who was bringing in pets...maybe 20-25 pet owners. They had a "welcome!" sign in the lobby with the names of all the pets they expected today. They briefed us all on what would happen during the procedure and what to expect at pickup time. They were just as pleasant in the afternoon and went over care instructions with everyone before releasing all the pup and kitties in a very orderly fashion. All the pets came out in various stages of drowsiness but in excellent shape, and the doctors are on call 24/7 in case of any emergency. What an unexpectedly wonderful experience! read more
