I was quoted $40.52 to haul away items from my storage unit. They charged my credit card $400.52. I would have NEVER agreed to this amount!! I sent numerous emails to them, called numerous times, and never got a response, despite being told "a manager" would call me back. They're very deceptive. I wanted to pay in cash while they were there, but they insisted on charging my credit card. Now I know why. I made an appointment online for arrival time between 10am- 12pm on a Saturday. I estimated that my stuff would take up half a truck when I filled out my info. I received a text the morning of my appointment that had a link to a GPS location tracker for the truck. I clicked on the link and it didn't actually track anything. But I received a phone call close to 11am that they would be arriving in 45 minutes. They made it after 12:15pm, which is fine, I understand things happen. I showed them everything that I wanted to get rid of and they estimated that it would be half a truck and gave me a quote before they got started. I was okay with the price so they started moving very quickly. I'm so glad I didn't have more than half a truck as they arrived with stuff in the truck from a previous customer. I was very happy with how fast they were at moving stuff out. I feel so much better that my house is less cluttered and that my stuff will be donated. They were able to come to my house to pick up an old sofa the very next day at 8:00 a.m. They arrived exactly on the dot! I noticed that the truck they drove up in was clean and well-maintained with good tires (something I notice on professional vehicles, as well-maintained trucks are safe trucks, and indicates that they value their employees, and care about how customers perceive them). I recently had some yard junk hauled away by Stand Up Guys. They were on time, courteous, and reasonably priced. I will definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors. My only complaint is that the Guys in the trucks are apparently not provided with the proper equipment to safely move heavy items. Each team should have, at minimum: a ramp, hand truck, pry bar, and furniture moving straps. They should also receive training on how to protect themselves while successfully moving heavy or bulky objects. read more

These folks are terrific, from the initial phone call to pulling away with our hot tub. When called, they were professional, gave an accurate estimate and scheduled us for the next morning. The driver called when 15 minutes away, and on arrival took care to pad where the dumpster hit the driveway (avoided any damage). They dismantled our large, extraordinarily heavy and well-worn hot tub, loaded up all pieces and cover, swept and rinsed the patio, and left about 75 minutes later.
