Yesterday, I was parked at the Target parking lot in Jackson, Wy with my windows down for my Husky who came to town with my girlfriends & I. #southparklandscapers were there managing the accumulation of dust & gravel from the winter, blowing it DIRECTLY at parked vehicles, to which I noticed Our vehicle being COVERED in a layer that unnecessarily created a situation I tried to address with Grace... not my forte. Whilst Ryan, wanted "the problem" to go away, he gave me $20 for a wash as I was frantic & wanted to just leave, being so aggravated. Here's the thing, yes, I am Grateful for the car wash, but I did not realize until after we left, the layer of dust that inundated my beautiful Husky as well as the every thing in the interior. My girlfriends & later my husband all commented about Our pooch trying to avoid what was being blown at him & the interior being coated. He called #southparklandscapers to which Ryan rudely told him "I was happy" with the payoff... Ummm, NO! Not happy, just trying to not be inappropriate with my behavior & feel that businesses need to realize how their actions reflect who they are. Today, I called to calmly inquire about the situation & was childishly hung up on.... Here's the thing, I will clean the interior of the truck myself, although I am recovering from a procedure... I am sharing to ask kindly for awareness about the businesses you spend your hard earned money with. We ALL need understanding...yes, businesses need the service however, there is a thing called common sense & courtesy or is that not reasonable? Ryan claimed to be in the middle, his two employees were certainly negligent, knowing they were purposely blowing dirt & gravel at parked vehicles continued down the parking lot doing the same thing when asked to stop at least once by me. "Ryan"...the guy in charge, shame on you for dismissing an opportunity to resolve the frustration just by hearing the concern, knowing it IS your responsibility & writing off the business expense, without trying to defend the poor behavior. If your vehicle was covered yesterday at Target, now you know. Have fun with Ryan... maybe you'll see for yourselves the integrity of professionalism he has.

Their many peices of reproduction hardware I've ordered for myself and customers over the years are superb for the very affordable prices. The crab lock for reproduction blanket chests (SKU 178LF3) is a steal at its $95 price. It compares favorably with a $500 hand wrought lock made by a world class blacksmith. There is a difference between the two, but the Whitechapel lock is perfectly fine for all but the most discriminating person. I called Whitechapel to ask about an iron escutcheon for the large key that comes with the lock. Bob told me he was going "downstairs" to check the lock key with the iron escutcheons that might meet my requirements to ensure the key would fit the keyhole. Bob called back in about 20 minutes with four escutcheons that meet my needs. I ordered all four escutcheons plus a second lock to have on hand. The lock has a half inch of "travel" to allow for seasonal wood movement of a blanket chest lid - very generous and period correct. And, Whitechapel offers a discound for those of us "in the trade."

On 7, the pins fall out of the hinge. The others are nice and tight. So, 15% of their hinges the pins fell out, 4% the chrome is thin. When I called to ask for replacements they said our cabinetmaker had put them in upside down. So, I guess some doors will have 3 knuckles,some will have two. Totally didn't stand behind their product. Stick with Baldwin.

However, recently I noticed the fitted sheet began to rip and disintegrate. Given the incredible price, I thought the store would back up their product. The sheets were used infrequently and washed with THEIR recommended product. To my dismay, they tried to tell me I had done something wrong ( dont you hate stores that do that?) and when I wouldnt have it, they suggested a 20% credit towards another sheet! Why would I buy another expensive sheet when the first one disintegrated on me???? I am so disappointed that Scandia Down did not make good on their merchandise... or at least try and make good in a real way. I told them I was dissatisfied and they just didnt care. Buy linen products somewhere else. I dont recommend doing business with a store that doesnt care.
