This was a really nice store! We just needed a couple of items, which we found easily. It's a different layout from our Smiths at home of course, but everything was well marked and the checkers were very helpful. In Jackson thought I'd try the Smiths since our local Xalifornua Ralohs I use is so great. The store is big, clean, lots of selections and a nice young man helped me find something. However, when you go to check out is different. It was not real busy, the checker scans my stuff quickly, but no one comes to bag. I see young girls up front, going to the bagging area then walking away and just talking g to each other letting the customers do their own bagging or the checker helps a little. Just shameful, just talking to each other ignoring the customers. That is not good customer training. read more

OMG the customer service here is terrible. I don't know what the deal is? I stood at the customer service counter for seven minutes and no one ever came and there was three cashiers who had nobody in their line and they just stood there looking no one ever even said hey, do you need help or anything like that! I swear to God they all look like they're about 19 years old and then I some stuff and I went through the the cashier didn't even say hello didn't make eye contact didn't say thank you, nothing! This is the same as Harris Teeter, Fred Meyer, Ralph's, etc. per my partner, has the cheapest groceries in Jackson. Was very clean and had several self-check-out kiosks. Can request no receipt, which automatically makes it four stars. Good fruit selection. Idk it's a standard chain grocery store. You can ride there on the bike path, which is cool! read more

This review is for the pharmacy at Smith's Food & Drug. Smiths' is part of the Kroeger's retail stores, along with Fred Meyer as example, and a big woohoo goes out to the Jackson located Smith's for having a full service pharmacy that was open at 8:00a.m, the earliest of any in town! Having been up since midnight by then and spent an early morning hour in the local hospital's ER (top notch experience with the medical team there), I was in need of pharmacy services earlier rather than later. i also apprecited the pharmacist's most welcome sense of humor. I imagine I looked a bit worse for the wear of my morning by the time I handed her the prescription and as she said "How are you this morn....ummm, you've been better I bet." as she read the script it made me literally laugh out loud in a welcome way. She also did a great job of answering my questions. While I'm not so much a fan of standard grocery stores, being more a Whole Foods and specialty store shopper, I appreciated that Smith's was bright, clean, spacious and well stocked for me to roll about (a wheelchair being necessary mode this morning) and browse about while I waited on the prescription fill. If I were lookng for a standard grocery store in Jackson this one would be my choice. THIS N THAT: Ample parking in the large lot is worth a whole star! Arrived 6pm Sunday night from a long drive from Oregon to stock-up our kitchen. Shelves were BARE. No produce. No meat/chicken. They advertised 18 oz blueberries for $2.99 for Jan 4 through 10. Non of those packages available on Jan 7 but they were offering 6 oz packages for $2.50. Practically the definition of bait and switch. I asked for a raincheck. Manager at the service desk says they don't do rainchecks any more. read more

Smith's, in general, is my favorite grocery store on the planet. This particular gem hiding on the the outskirts of Jackson, WY was exceptional. I came here with my family right after snowboarding and we were hungry... Now, I normally steer clear of grocery store made sushi, but these guys were on point. At this time of day at least (4:30ish)... They had a sushi Chef making orders to go fresh... Boo ya! They could make almost anything we wanted, for a fraction of the price of a restaurant. After we got our sushi we did the normal grocery store run. There was a gentleman that seemed to be a manager of some sort whom checked to see if we were finding what we needed. I gave him a quick list and he got us what we asked for and we got out quickly. I can some up this experience as above and beyond. Tell Mr. Smith thanks! read more

I was visiting from out of town and filled a Rx for my daughter at Smith's pharmacy. Big surprise but my insurance company had some excuse about it not being a covered drug. The lady working in the pharmacy did some research and found a coupon that cut the cost in half. She was so nice and helpful. She could set an example for others for excellent customer service. read more

Horrible service from the gas station the person in charge said he will not help me until they open which it was in 5 minutes so I wait then he said he has to open the gas station regardless I was waiting there for about 20 minutes was a Russian or European worker so wait for 40 minutes until finally, he said I can help you now I thought smiths stores the customers are always first but I guess I was wrong read more

This grocery store is well stocked and has the friendliest employees. We bought groceries here while on vacation several times during our stay. The selection and variety of items was pretty great. Their prices were low compared to the pricey "Organic" store down the street and had a a huge selection of organic & natural foods itself. I noticed the locals seem to shop here a lot. This is a very nice store. It's got a Starbucks in the store. The prices are comparable to the ones in my local store in Utah. Usually when you go to places like Jackson the stores tend to charge more so it was nice to see. Good meat selection, decent produce selection, bakery, etc. read more

Anyway, the selection here is totally awesome - it feels like a premium version of a Fred Meyer grocery department complete with a cheese-monger and other luxury food items. Felt like home! I hate shopping at grocery stores when I travel but this store was super clean and had everything my normal store at home does. They also had a full service pharmacy and enough room to park our 30' trailer while shopping (other stores around did NOT). My only complaint was the lack of choices at the deli counter read more

Love this place. They have all possible groceries that you can find here in Jackson. They also have loyal customer card for credit to buy gas and HUGE discounts on items. Make sure you get a membership card. Oh, if you somehow forget your card, the cashier will use their cards so won't miss out on any discounts, which sometimes, can be up to 50%. You can also custom order specific items, mostly in large amount, and they will try and get it for you. Their staff are always friendly. I never have to wait for long for my allergies at the drug stores. For those who love steaks, like my dad, check out their new York tbone steak that are discounted once or twice a month. There are people literally come from Idaho fall to buy in bulk when the store inform of the discount. If you're new in town, you must check it out. read more

We bought fruit and vegetables, canned veggies, yogurt, snacks, all at good prices, for our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks. This review is for Angela in the floral department. Wow! She is an absolute artist! I called her and explained that I wanted something special for a rehearsal dinner. I needed 3 small table bouquets, and told her colors and flowers that we liked. I had somewhat of an idea in my head of what I wanted, but mostly I just wanted this to be very nice and wasn't really sure how to explain over the phone. She did not disappoint! The single worst experience ever. The checker complains there are no baggers. He makes no attempt to bag anything. Finally, I go to the end to bag and he tells me he didn't get the waters or sodas on bottom- could I hand them to him. I do, he scans them and leaves them for me to return to bottom again. The total comes up and while I insert card, he watches. He pushes the unbagged groceries to the end and starts checking out the next person in line. Baggers walk past me, front end manager walks past, I am across from customer service- no one helps or speaks. After I get all things bagged and back into basket, the cart wheel jams and I can't push basket. I get on ground to adjust wheels and still no assistance. Smith's and all employees working Friday at 4:30 should be ashamed. read more

This store is part of the Kroger family of stores that are all over where I live, so it felt familiar even though I am far from home. Starbucks inside, Boar's Head in the deli, and all Kroger brand products including Simple Truth organics and Private Selection. The produce department was very nice too, just like a Kroger would be.
