There are very few companies in the area that rebuild chimney covers. Runyon came out to provide an estimate quickly, and was able to get materials and fix the chimney cover quickly as well. The new one has a drip edge and rubber top and is sided on the side. It is a quality product that looks like it will last a very long time! The most impressive thing though was the professionalism and thoroughness of their crew. The person who came out to do the work was careful not to disturb the neighbor's yard (as my chimney is in her courtyard). They cleaned up everything. And inspected the entire roof while they were here. Any minor issues with nails and caulk or sealant were taken care of -- unfortunately many do not realize that a roof needs regular maintenance for these things -- especially in NE Ohio.
