staff is always really nice and bud is generally good quality. went in today and asked for a recommendation of best bang for the buck for quality/quantity. Bud tender brought out one tub of mac cherry breath and I took his recommendation without inspecting as much as should have because when I got home and looked at the bud and smoked it it was pretty bad quality and questionably expired/starting to get a little mildew or moldy. I smoke a lot of popcorn and this ounce is probably going in the trash because it tastes straight up bad. probably on me for not asking to check out other bud and taking the recommended that they are probably trying to get rid of asap. Well I purchased a 1/4 which I was happy with and I sent in an email inquiry regarding their EPC policies and since I have a MED support badge I should know all the polices for MMJ sales when I've only ever worked in recreational? The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the staff is very friendly. This has been my favorite dispensary to shop at and has had the best prices. I've been able to find in Denver. I looked at their website today and since yesterday they decided to do a member and nonmember price tier with no warning, notification, or any sort of news to the loyal customer base. Since this location has been bought out by the starbuds corporation, it has gone to shit! Management is nowhere to be found, it's sometimes very difficult to get an answer to a very basic question and I think it's ridiculous that they go ahead and completely change their pricing to member and non-member without giving any notice whatsoever. Be prepared! If you work a 9-5, don't ever expect to be able to shop at this dispensary and get your medicine. They are constantly shutting down and not taking anymore patients well before they're actually supposed to close just because they think they're too "busy". Find bud tenders that actually want to work and get every patient their medicine as long as they have checked in before they ACTUALLY close, not two hours before closing time. Everyday I get a text saying they're closing 2+ hours before their already early closing time for a MED shop. Horrible customer service. read more

Ignore the other reviews on here. This is Hands down best medical storefront in the whole Denver metro area, as well as possibly Colorado entirely. Anyone who disagrees with this fact is impatient, and doesn't understand how the store runs it's business. Standing akimbo has an exemplary pricing strategy. Whereas most dispos are charging anywhere from $5 more, to completely doubling the price they are getting their products for from vendors, standing akimbo is the only dispensary that takes the approach of charging under $5 per product. This is how all medical storefronts should be. When I shop at standing akimbo I know I'm always the priority. It's never about the money they will make from the sale. It's me getting what I need for the best price possible, that is all they have ever cared about! Yes the wait times are long (sometimes even hours on the weekends) but the deals they run at these times make up for it! I have gone everyday for several years and only once have I checked in for them to say they had to close early. And when they did that they gave every patient still in line like $100 credit on their profile. That's 10g of live resin or diamonds at standing akimbo. They literally given stuff away. I've been so loyal to this store and it comes back to me every time I come in. I couldn't be more happy with the management. The only complaint I have is the budtender turnover rate. If you know remotely what you want, aren't an asshole, and avoid peak hours, it's a great experience. I get why people are pissed off about showing up for a drop, waiting for hours and then not getting anything but this is the busiest place in the state and it's not even close so why put yourself through that in the first place? They have good products, but EVERYTIME I come here I'm waiting for 30 minutes and there's 3-5 people who come AFTER I do and get a chance to go inside before me. But the people working the front need to stop telling people on the phone if they can get there before a certain time they will miss the cut off time.. because we got there well before the time he said we needed to beat and the cut off still happened. So we drove across town for no reason. And while checking in the guy was on the phone still telling people if they can get there in a min they can check them in... like what the heck is the logic. I signed over my med card to these assholes, so I could use my extended plant count. They have given me the run around for a month now. Literally since April 14th when I became a patient there, all I hear is "it'll get put in the system as soon as the manager gets here. But I guess he hasn't shown up for work this month apparently, because every time I call and show up personally, he's never there. I've done all the necessary paperwork, and now there holding my card hostage so I can't even use my extended plant count anywhere else. The extended plant count cost me $500, that they have now fucked me out of a full month of using it. Do not go here unless you want to wait in line for over 2 hours, just to get treated like shit. read more

Terrible! I came in and showed them my card on my phone. First it couldn't be a screenshot so I had to go to the website and show them it. Then I had to email them my card but it couldn't be a screenshot it had to be the actual pdf file. I explained that I don't know how to do that on my phone and was pretty much ignored. Then as I'm trying to figure it out the guy at the desk nonchalantly tells me the wait is an HOUR AND A HALF. There's two other people in the waiting room so I don't know where he got that figure from but there's no way I'm checking in then sitting around for almost two hours, regardless of how good the concentrates are. The entire experience really soured me on this location. I'm glad it worked for other people but I would honestly question their sanity to wait that long for a dispensary that can't even explain how to get a med card into their system. read more

Also i was 2 days late to redeem my monthly gift for my EPC count and she refused to show any love. They are growing 36 plants for me and still give me attitude and show no love. Terrible parking lot with no room, be careful if you pull in while someone's reversing and they leave you waiting along the back wall for the 5 seconds it takes them to back out, the grouchy blonde manager with an attitude will come out and yell at you like she's some kind of traffic cop when you've done nothing wrong.
