I might loathe visits to the dentist, but what makes them bearable is having a really incredible doctor -- someone like Dr. Doyon. I first saw Dr. Doyon last year at his former practice in Portland. He came with glowing recommendations from my mother and sister and I decided to give him a try. To be honest, my visit was because of a toothache, but he didn't make me feel badly for not having seen a dentist in a few years. Dr. Doyon has been wonderful to me. He's kind, funny, engaging -- he spends part of every visit with me just catching up, making me feel more relaxed. He takes the time to explain things, and always answers my questions without making me feel silly for asking. After learning that Dr. Doyon was leaving his former practice to open up his own, it didn't matter to me where he was going -- I was right there behind him. I used to travel 5 minutes to see him, now I travel 30 minutes. But he and his staff are worth it. His staff -- they are awesome.
