Whoever thought of making this garden in the Parks and Recreation department deserves a round of applause. C'mon on out Leslie Knope! The garden is very charming and will make you feel like you just fell down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. It provides the perfect locale for a small photo shoot, picnic, or small garden party. I came here in early April which unfortunately is either too early or too late in the season as many of the rose bushes weren't in bloom. I definitely want to keep tabs to see when the best time would be to come to see it in full bloom. Aside from the Rose Garden, this park also has a nice pond/canal, a large playground, and a short trail that offers lots of secluded picnic tables along the way. I'm certainly no expert about parks, but there are certain parks that you go to for different things. Some parks are great for cookouts, some are great for exercise or walking, and some are excellent for festivals or large events like concerts. This park is superb for picnics. There are so many quaint areas here that are ideal for getting out the picnic blanket and basket. Or if you just want to spend your lunch break eating outside with a good book, there are plenty of picnic tables to choose from that provide the serenity that you're seeking.

He even let us come set up a day early, when he could have hosted other events at that time and profited. The Plaza's setup is perfect for a reception--the lighting made our dance party incredible (people said it was one of the best they'd been to). The venue has a comfortable atmosphere, and the marquee out front with our names and wedding date was perfect. We got some great photos with sparklers out front at the end! My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Theater, Return) Atmosphere - Upon entering, you'll find a huge concession stand in the middle complete with movie candy and snacks to entice you as you make your way to order popcorn. There's an arcade on the right, and another concession stand for ordering more food along with tons of seating. If you order ahead, you can pick up your concessions here (see below for more details). 1 Star. Service - I'm going to focus on the Cinemark app. Who needs Moviefone when I can use the app for everything? I can select a theater, choose a movie, choose my seat, and even order concessions. Seriously, kudos to the Cinemark team, I show up at movie time, pick up my popcorn and concession that I ordered online, and head to my movie. No stress/wait, just time saved. 1 Star. Theater - Not all screens are the same. Here's a breakdown of what to expect: 1. IMAX - It's IMAX Digital - not a full-blown IMAX experience, but still good. The IMAX screen is dedicated to one side. It has its own concession stand, but it's never open. Finally, these are regular seats - no recliners. 2. XD - This is Cinemark's best experience. Huge floor to wall screen with reclining seats. There are also a few DBox seats which are more immersive (and expensive). There are two XD screens at this location. 3. 2D Digital - This is Cinemark's standard screen. They have multiple screens that vary in size, and they all have reclining seats. If you're not sure what experience your movie is showing on, check the website or app. Most blockbuster movies will be shown in IMAX and XD opening weekend, then will move to the smaller 2D Digital screens. Expect to pay about $50 for 2 people and concessions. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I really like the convenience of selecting a movie and buying it online along with my concessions. I'm also a Movie Club member (check Cinemark for details as pricing varies by location) and buying/refunding tickets and concessions are super easy. 1 Star.

We were lucky in that we scored some ridiculously cheap tickets on www.stubhub.com Now granted we were sitting up in the rafters, but for the price I'm not complaining. The atmosphere here is somewhat subdued for a hockey game. The fans here are pretty quiet compared to Penguin's fans, for example (I'm a Pittsburgh girl). Which is a shame because the Stars have had some good teams over the years. They do have some knowledgeable fans though. A guy sitting next to us happened to mention that he went down the Austin to see the Star's AHL affiliate the Texas Stars play. I mentioned to him that a couple of friends of mine are huge Chicago Wolves fans and he said that yes he'd seen the Wolves play the Stars. Although the Stars lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-0, we saw a good game played. Note to the Star's fans sitting around me. I didn't fall asleep because the game was boring.
