We had the best afternoon here! You can grab beers from the place across the road too. Such a fun afternoon and a great date idea!

Yesterday I was trying to think where my favourite place is in Vancouver and I think the Pitch & Putt has won thanks to a visit today! Located super close to English Bay but tucked away enough not to be a main attraction (or at least yet as the weather is still iffy), the course is beautiful. The price is now $13.15 for a regular game and I believe the Twilight pricing is still the same (~$10). You have to supply your own clubs for the Twilight pricing and club rentals stop at 5:30. I was surprised that a ball rental is $2 while it's only $1.50 for 2 clubs. But then when we returned our equipment today, we were told that you can keep the ball and bring it back with you next time to avoid the paying the fee again. After driving range sessions a couple of years ago, my friend and I were excited to practise our mad skillz out on a course that didn't involve a windmill or require a golf-cart. The distance for each hole varies from 40 to 95 yards and while par is 3 for each hole, we questioned out loud who could meet/beat that. But everyone moves through the holes fairly quickly and it's nice to see people not taking things too seriously if they have to wait for your 5 shots to sink a meter long putt. I definitely look forward to more pitching and putting, especially as a raccoon accompanied us on one of the holes today and I love them! A suggestion though: if the weather has been rainy previous to your golf game, ensure you wear proper foot ware as it gets super sloppy out there.

Well, unless another wedding invite graces my mail box, there's no way I could get in. To get on the waiting list for membership is $25k on it's own. Plus, I don't wear my pants up at my armpits or take dinner before 5pm. The view is gorgeous. You can see the Grouse Grind and Vancouver from the expansive patio that faces the course. The greens look like they're kept in immaculate form. (I wonder if there's a wee little garden gnome out there in the early morning hours grooming them with a pair of shears! What else would they do with all those annual dues?) The staff is friendly, professional and on top of their game. They were awesome about bringing vegetarian dishes to the lone vegetarian at our table and kept the drinks coming! The food was decent. It's exactly what you'd expect at a golf course, although, as I mentioned, I was there for a wedding, so we possibly were privy to an exclusive menu - Shrimp Cocktail? Lobster thermidor? Dim sum dumplings as appetizers? Don't mind if I do!

The course itself was a lot of fun and the greens were in pretty good shape! The par 5s are reachable in 2, the par 3s aren't super tough, and the course as whole offers challenges for both good and beginner golfers. When we went, they were only allowing golf carts on the first 9 holes, and walking only on the back (due to construction) so we decided to get a push cart for the entire round. This was a great decision. The course is flatter without a ton of elevation, so it was a fairly easy course to walk. Getting a tee time, you can do so through their online portal. They charge a booking fee to book ahead of time, but it's worth it. We waited until the week before and the only available tee times were early morning or late late afternoon. If this is a course you want to play, definitely book as far ahead as possible.

Ive played at the course since the 90s and they have the same balls they did when I first started playing here. They fly sporadically and I lose about 30 yards on my pitching wedge. I can't believe how bad the balls are. Don't pay the money, it's not worth it
