Awesome store and awesome people, but *really* make sure you know what you're buying before you…read morehead to the till. I came in on a college budget hoping to pick up a used soccer ball or tennis racket to help emerge from winter hibernation and be outdoors, but the selection and prices made it so I got both! Consigners set the initial prices and get 50% back, so it's luck of the draw as to whether you'll get a good deal. Got a Dunlop racket ($33) that works like a charm, and the used tennis balls ($0.50/ea) are really worth it if you don't mind a Sharpie'd "T" on it. The soccer ball, I made the mistake of buying a lower-end Tektonik ($17) one. BIG mistake. After one use, it began cracking apart massively -- likely an issue of the ball being stale and/or overinflated. Although this is mostly the fault of a bad consigner, I was disappointed that I couldn't get anything back for it after I called and warned them about the other two they had on their shelf. Part of me is kicking myself that I didn't go for the nicer, likely better-maintained $22 Puma ball on the rack -- ended up dishing out another $25 for a new one at SoccerWest anyways. But I'm wondering whether I should sell my new ball to them when I myself have to head out of town, or whether I should go through the effort of selling it on Craigslist/Marketplace to give someone (and probably myself) peace of mind. TLDR: Know what items to buy used, and which are buyer-beware. Quality control can only go so far.

We had a really great buying experience here. We found several pairs of shoes for my wife and son…read more The staff was able to help us find everything we needed quickly. The selection was a little sparse on children's shoes.

Customer Service and Support is Why I Wear Arc'Teryx…read more Walked in with old jacket needing repair; walked out with a brand new jacket (no I didn't steal it). I had a warranty issue with my shell and instead of making me wait the standard 4-6 weeks for a repair, the Kits store handled the warranty / replacement paperwork and let me walk with a new jacket off the showroom floor. The manager Kelsey was incredibly helpful, caring and funny. I am an Arc'Teryx customer for life because of (repeated) interactions like these. Also, don't be a dirtbag and wash your Gore-Tex kids.

To my fellow Kitsilano neighbors,…read more As many of us rely on high-end local gear for our outdoor lifestyle, I wanted to share some recent data regarding the service standards at the Arc'teryx location on West 4th. While the brand has a long history in our city, recent public filings on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) show a concerning trend. Currently, the company holds a 1.33/5 star rating from local consumers. Multiple reports from late 2025 and 2026 highlight recurring issues, including: * Warranty Disputes: Customers being denied service based on "fabric condition" without clear technical explanations. * Quality & Repair Issues: Reports of gear returning from service in worse condition than when it was dropped off, with a cited "lack of ownership" from customer support. * Policy Changes: Significant frustration over the removal of lifetime warranties on products originally sold with those guarantees. It is important for our community to be aware of these service patterns before investing in expensive technical apparel. If you've had similar experiences with local gear maintenance, feel free to share your thoughts below so we can keep our neighbors informed. Know your rights as a consumer.

First time at this SC location…read more I was completely impressed with my entire experience. The store modern, big and bright, with the best merchandising I've seen in a long time. When I first walked in, I was greeted with a smile by a girl working at a welcoming station at the front. I asked where men's shoes were, and she showed me, but also informed me that a sales associate that was in our vicinity could help me. Perfect ! I knew exactly what I needed. I showed him the item on my phone, he looked up the product # on his handheld and off he went to get it for me. He quickly reappeared with box in hand! The shoes were exactly what I wanted and they were on sale for a really great price. I went to the cash area, where there were a few people in front of me. I didn't have to wait for more than a minute or two before it was my turn. The cashier was also smiling and friendly. She showed me how to maximize my points on the Triangle App, then I paid and was on my way. This was a really great shopping experience with customer service that goes above and beyond.

This is a raving review for Reza specifically -…read more I rushed into the store literally 30 minutes before close frantically looking for literally any snow gear that could fit me (it's difficult and I often have to shop in the Children's section). Reza is a champ and immediately got to work. He went through the entire store and pulled so much for me and was so incredibly patient even as I started becoming more picky with the options. While helping me, he was also impressively attentive with another couple who seemed to be last minute shopping as well. Generally speaking, I was really pleased with all of the customer service through out the store. From the moment I walked in, to the check out process on my way out, everyone was super pleasant, even considering the fact that they were officially closed at the time I was checking out. Highly recommend in the Vancouver area for the service alone! Thank you again, Reza and Team!
