This company is hands down the BEST. They go above and BEYOND in every single way to help make the…read morebest of an absolute worst case scenario. A pipe burst in my parent's house while they were away in hospital and the bottom floor got flooded. My dad is the one who usually handles these things, but he was the one hospitalized so my mom called me...we got an insurance claim started and after doing some very quick research so as to keep the claim moving, decided to go with ServiceMaster and THANK GOODNESS WE DID!!!!! From the very beginning, Mark Jr. and Mark Sr. were so positive and supportive and extremely helpful. I live in a different state and could not leave my job to come and help with any of this, but they never once made me feel like I needed to. I felt like I could 100% trust them. I felt like my parents were in such good hands and my parents also felt like everyone was very respectful and cautious with their belongings...and this cleanup was a BIG cleanup for a lot of reasons, and they never once made anyone feel shame about it. I can not recommend ServiceMaster of Lynchburg highly enough! If you have a household emergency, these are the guys to call. They are truly the best and I would definitely work with them again, although I hope to not have to!

At first I thought everything would be okay. I really wish I could give a good review however I…read morecannot. The subcontractor they used pulled out a large cabinet and in doing so pulled the upper cabinets away from the wall it now rests on my refrigerator. The upper cabinets were not damaged by the flood. General contractor asked, "why didn't they repair their negligent work." Under the mobile home insulation was removed and in doing so a pipe that delivers water to the toilet was pulled out. I had a plumber fix it at my expense. The electrical outlet for the lamp over the kitchen table is no longer working they put holes in the bottom of the wall to dry it out now I have to have an electrician come in at my expense. The kitchen counter 10' was also damaged and the water did not touch that. Back splash Ceramic tile was pulled off the wall the water did not reach that. A gaping hole under the kitchen sink allowing critters to edge through, did not cover it, again at my expense to fix it. There is more however I do want to say a 5 gallon jug 1/2 filled with change/coin was stolen. I left the house once to go get pizza's for the workers what a mistake. I made! Also left the subcontractor alone since I had a doctor's appointment. I made an incident report with our sheriff's department . The owner said they would do an investigation. That's funny who would admit they're a thief. I received texts from his wife who said she was part owner. With an accusatory tone. A friend of mine just had a pipe burst in her home, she asked who did I use. I told her and her husband my experience so they are using another company. Pictures can be posted or sent.

We have three family members with compromised immune systems and needed assurance he would be able to adequately remediate our home. We had previously hired another remediation company to gut and treat the basement where there was water damage, but we were told mold spores had gotten into our HVAC system and had distributed them throughout the house. The house was vacated and we got rid of all furnishings and carpet and removed much of the clutter. Any remaining items, we were told would be cleaned around and treated with their miracle enzyme. This is when Green Home Solutions of Lynchburg was called in. His scope of work included: "clean HVAC ductwork, air returns and coils using rotobrush cleaning" and to "treat ductwork with EPA registered Oceanic". To "HEPA clean walls and floors", "treat entire property with EPA registered Oceanic", "treat HVAC air returns/duct work (x3) with Oceanic EPA registered Oceanic", "deploy air scrubbers throughout property (5 total)", "continue to operate air scrubbers for 3-5 after treatment" and to "perform clearance tests to verify mold levels are normal". I also confirmed through text messaging he was to include the cathedral ceiling and fireplace. We scheduled a date for him to start the process and was told he could complete the work in three days. Day 1, he shows up ALONE after 10am, chats with me for a while so he does not start anything before I leave around 11am. This is the day he was to clean the HVAC. Day 2 the house is unlocked at 9am as his estimated time of arrival is 10am. I show up around noon and see doors open around the house and him standing at his truck doing something on his phone. Once again he is there ALONE. I leave and check back just before 3pm. He is gone, I text him and he responds he had a meeting. At 3:59 I get a text he is back at the house. At 5:48 he text me he is "packing up now". He claims "the vaulted ceiling and fireplace turned out very nice." The next day, Day 3, I turned on the 4 air scrubbers. Upon examination of the house it was evident very little was done as promised. Realistically, there was no way he would have been able to complete all the work in his contract in 2 part days, probably even if he had a large crew to help. This is a large house with three separate HVAC systems. There is duct/debris on every window sill and door jam I have looked at, I don't know if he opened ANY of the three air handlers because they were still dirty. He did appear to clean some of the vents and vacuum the living room floor. The basement that had previously been remediate had all the duct works STILL taped up which meant he did not even pretend to clean those. The HVAC units were not turned on so the "EPA registered Oceanic" could not have been sent through them or the taped up ducts! I even called their corporate office and had someone come down so I could show them the "work" he tried to pass of. On top of this shoty work, he actually let himself into our house to get his equipment! We have been able to identify a few small items that have gone missing and were broken. Amazingly, nothing seems worth what business he lost. Fortunately, I did not pay him up front. You would think a business owner who represents a nationwide brand would have better ethics than this guy. HE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED INSIDE YOUR HOUSE!
