unfortunately on Monday I had Stanley steamer come out to clean my ducts. my furnace unit is on an outside entrance to our house no more than 10 min after their guy was in the furnace room he came and got me to show me my Freon line going into the bottom on the unit had a leak and said he called his mgr and told me to cover his ass. Long story short now we're out of Freon and didn't have this issue before they were in there. That line was just installed last year into the new furnace. They were the only people in that room but refused to take any responsibility. I won't use them again read more

I am on Carpet 9 right now! I wish I had before pictures of how our dog and seven kids had destroyed our living room floor. This room now looks brand new and I am so excited to dirty it up again! The two gentlemen that came to call were very professional, personable, kind to my children, and *bonus* knew who the hell Baby Shark was. The masked gentlemen spot-cleaned and steamed the living room and I already have them on my calendar for 2021 to do my entire house! I felt like they really respected my space and time by giving me a solid estimate on how long they would take and what to expect while they worked through the process. I called for a quote for getting some braided rugs cleaned. $500 and some change. They wanted to come to the house to clean them, however that wouldn't work so they said I could bring them to the location an hour from my home in Ft. Wayne. I inquired about some stains on the rug and a few specks of laytex paint. They told me they would address those stains, it's included in the price. All good. So I rolled up each rug, zip tied them and transported them to the Stanley Steemer location in Ft. Wayne. The turn around time seemed super quick, but who knows maybe they have new technology for rug cleaning. Went to pick up my rugs. Well...they were hanging on a wooden rack, I had to get them down myself (and if you know braided rugs, they are not lite), roll them, and put them in my car. The stains were still present, I took before and after pictures and videos. And the best there were two Stanley Steemer folks with khakis and embroidered jackets in the garage watching me struggle with the rugs. My dad (who just had knee surgery) ended up helping me. I wasted $500 and you can bet I will be telling everyone about this experience. read more

I set an appointment to have my carpet cleaned and was quoted a price of $185. When the guys came in, they sprayed the carpet then said that it would be $240 for the carpet cleaning. I said no, I was quoted a price of $185. And the guy said in a very aggressive manner "I don't work for free, I have a family to feed". He said I work on commission. And I said I don't pay for services that the pricing changes upon arrival. I told him to forget the whole thing and just leave. He called his supervisor and they agreed to do it for the price that I was quoted. He should not just focus on "commission", but on taking care of the customer. Initially I thought the work done by Stanley Steamer was going to be ok. But it's been a little over a week and in addition to finding color seal all over the place (toilet base, under side of sink, wood door) the sealing process is already failing. I had thought it would fade, which would be good since the sealant was smeared all over the slate, but I hadn't expected it to just start coming up. Turns out it will be helpful? They quoted me $40 to clean my daughter's mattress, but $150 minimum to show up. I asked if they had any other services in the $110 range to add up to $150 because all I really wanted was my daughter's mattress cleaned. Of course they didn't have anything for $110, so I asked if I could get my sectional cleaned to reach the $150, they said that would be $190, just trying to nickel and dime me, so i asked if they had any specials, knowing that I'd seen a $25 off any service special on the website before I called and they said no they don't. Stanley Steemer is just another company that cares more about their bottom line than the people they serve. I'll go somewhere else. read more

DON'T USE STANLEY STEAMER THEY DON'T THINK COVID IS REAL. The unprofessional way they handled my cleaning today was beyond repair! They came into my house without a mask and acted annoyed when I asked them to wear one. They didn't cover their feet or wear gloves. I don't work in the cleaning industry but common sense to me would include those thing's in a Pandemic!! The owner apologized and tried to tell me they had not been in anyone's house who had covid but....like 80 percent of people who have it have no symptoms. Our carpeting is old, so my expectations aren't that high, but I feel like I should not have to ask the crew to wear shoe covers! I didn't even think about addressing that when they got here, to me it's a given, especially in a carpet cleaning business! We have grandchildren playing on our floors, and we do not EVER wear our shoes in the house, so to see a technician with no shoe covers on, and you know they just cleaned your whole house with their street shoes on, walking on top of WET carpet no less, I am just done. Called early this afternoon to get a quote on water damage to the carpeting in my basement after my water heater burst. I was transferred to my local office in Indiana where I was told they had a crew that was just finishing a job and could head right over. Waited for an hour and no one showed up. Called back to find out what happened and was told there was no record of my call. They said they would reach out to the manager at my local office personally and set it up and that the manager would call me. Manager called me and gave me a quote estimate and said they would have someone out to our house right away and the crew would let me know when they were on their way. Received a call from a guy 30 minutes later who said they would be there in 20 minutes. Received another call 20 minutes later saying that they were having trouble finding my home. They read back my street address correctly, but the city and stater they gave was Moorestown, New Jersey. Not Fort Wayne, Indiana where I live. They said they would try to get Tye service call transferred and hung up. I called back to Stanley Steemer where I was told that the information they had was for Fort Wayne, Indiana and that someone would be at my house in now another 20 minutes. 10 min Tes later a van pulls in. One guy, not a crew. He comes in, measures the one room in my basement that needs work and his quotebis astronomical. Exceeding the previous managers quote by hundreds of dollars. I asked why it was so expensive and after basically telling me that he couldn't give me an itemized explanation of the charges (what?!) said it was probably because of after hours charges. I asked when "after hours" starts. The tI'm me he gave me was 30 minutes before his arrival, hours after I had started this whole thing. He called the office upon my request and then told me that the after hours charges were because they were closed that day, on a Friday, because of weather. I asked why not one of the probably six people I spoke with that day informed me of that. He told me that it was because the person I spoke to was in Florida. Needless to say I sent him on his way and will never recommend or attempt to give business to this company again. Later that day I noticed that there were no "pucks" under the nightstands/end tables/coffee table so I called and asked about it. Got their manager and left a message. Got a call three days later and was told that I told their team not to move furniture. I absolutely, positively, in no way told their team that and it is a flat out lie. I have a real problem with a company that lies like that and performs substandard service. To their credit they did offer to come out and reclean the carpet, but as we all know that is a royal pain. I had my carpets and tile cleaned a couple of weeks ago as we were having a party for Halloween. They did an awesome job! Carpets looked great, but I highly recommend the tile and grout cleaning!! That was amazing!! The night of our party, a friend spilled Strawberry Margarita on our freshly cleaned carpet!!!! We got up as much as we could and called Stanley Steamer the next day. They worked us in for a spot treatment and we no longer have pink carpet!! Whew! We expected to be paying a hefty charge for the emergency service, but were pleasantly surprised by their generosity.
