Stanely Steemer cleaned my high traffic areas on June 12, 2025. I am in the process of re-cleaning the high traffic areas and cannot believe the dirt that is coming up. There is no way that the areas cleaned by Stanley Steemer could haven gotten dirty so soon. I have no idea what they did but they will never be coming to my house again. had Stanley Steelers clean and deoderize my carpet. Went back 2 weeks later and the carpet still stunk. Called for them to come back out and reclean the carpet. They sent the same people who didn't do a good job in the beginning and all they did was spray the carpets and left. Complete waste of time. I could have done it myself. read more

I scheduled hardwood floor cleaning. The guys that came, Stephen and Zach, were ok but I'm totally disappointed in the results. Stephen said that a deep clean would damage our floors and a cleaning wouldn't help it look much different. I understood that when I said to proceed with the light cleaning. I did not expect it to literally look like nothing had been done. I can go right now with a wet paper towel and get out spots and dirt that still remain. I thought that even if it didn't look much better, at least it would be clean. Not the case at all. This was a waste of money. We paid way too much for the lack of good results. Essentially we got a wipe down that was even less help than what a Swiffer would do. When I talked to Josh at the Hoover location, he was less than concerned about my dissatisfaction. He was basically like "we told you it wouldn't look different". He actually acknowledged that dirt is redistributed and that Yes, you may be able to pick up dirt with a wet towel afterwards. So I paid hundreds of dollars for a wipe around. I requested a partial refund but all he offered was to have someone come and give me a quote on stripping the floors. I'm not a complainer but this experience left me fuming with regret. SS knows what they provide is insufficient and they just do not care. They were on time easy to setup through dispatch. Spent plenty of time working on my carpets and getting 95% of spots/stains up. They did have the "Sales Guy" of the group try to up sell some spot cleaner and deodorizer, but he is just doing his job and wasn't overly pushy. Pleased so far with the price and the results. Also, used a senior citizen discount. 10% off never hurts. 3 Large Rooms over 300 sq ft. a piece for 165 tax and all. Nice to get a straight answer rather than "Well.... this would have been my first carpet cleaning, . But it never happen, I waited a week for my cleaning, the window was 2 to 5. I called them about 10 this morning to make sure everything was still on track. To everything out of living room and dining, we even put the cat up. Waited all day for the cleaning, it never happened. At 5 I made another call to Stanley Steemer , Well long story short, they never made it to my house, they didn't have the address or phone number right, (but it was right at 10 this morning) I was told driver went to wrong address , and my phone number and address was wrong, Well it won't happen again, and yes my couch and love seat got wet, because I didn't have anyone to put it back inside,. I also received a quote different online then when the techs got to my house. Upon arrival we were going over the work for hardwoods to be cleaned in two rooms, our den and kitchen. As soon as the lead tech saw the den he said that room counts as two rooms and the kitchen one. Making the price jump over $100.00. We debated for a while finally having to call the manager, working out an acceptable price. The tech was angry that it cut into his commission which I noticed. I tried to appologize for getting started on the wrong foot, but got more heat from him. Then when leaving they left all things undone, vent covers off draperies tied in knots and furniture not moved back. I'm disappointed in SS because of the pricing and the friction it caused the tech and I making him mad at me. read more

We have 5 dogs plus we provide overnight boarding for shelter dogs that are going to be sent to New York for adoption needless to say the carpets were in terrible condition. There were set in stain and a terrible odor even though I use Simple Solution on a regular basis. Jordan and Iron Mike took my filthy carpets and had them looking like new! I had a great experience! If you want a personable and hard working tech ask for Patrick. He worked nonstop. He knew everything I asked but one question and that had something to do with a totally different thing that he doesn't do but he called his boss and found out for me. When I need anything done again I will call Stanley Steemer and I will ask for Patrick to come back out but I am sure all techs are great. read more

I have used Stanley Steemer for years, and have never encountered the service I encountered today. My first mistake was scheduling online; assuming the $99 Special still meant THREE rooms! When the tech, named Josh, arrived he did tell me it would be only TWO rooms and a hall for that price. So I called their business office to verify. I was told that special was only for certain areas, certain franchises, and on certain holidays; and since I live in Mountain Brook and it is not a holiday that I had to pay more. (I do not live in Mountain Brook!) but what difference should it make where I live? So I asked them to only do two of the bedrooms and put the living room furniture back where it was. After they left, I noticed the living room floor was wet!! After calling, I found out the other tech sprayed their "pretreatment " on it; and I was told, "oh, it will dry!" Not knowing if it had any kind of chemicals in it, I was concerned about my two cats walking on it and sniffing it. I called back, and got no apologies or an offer to come back to remedy the pretreated carpet. So my prescious furbabies will stay with me on the porch until that carpet is dry! I do not recommend Stanley Steemer registration online and verify where you actually live and be sure it is a holiday if you want their $99 Special!!! read more

I love Stanley Steemer!! They are definitely my carpet guys from now on!! I've dealt with several of their crews now and have had the most pleasant experiences with them every time. Their off site area rug cleaning blew me away. Oriental rugs that I thought were trash are now the highlights of my home again! I ordered carpet cleaning for 3 rooms plus my stairs; also tile grout cleaning in my shower. When they arrived they claim my quote did not include the stairs and they were instructed to clean my bathroom floor not my shower so they had to wait for someone to bring the "tool" for the shower grout cleaning which delayed the work by 30-45 minutes. Therefore the price was higher than quoted and I definitely am not pleased with the carpet cleaning. Not noticeable enough to tell they were cleaned. Also the workers moved some furniture upstairs to clean underneath but did not move my couches. They removed all their equipment, asked me to survey their work; I asked if they moved my couches and they said not we don't move furniture unless you tell us to. However they moved furniture upstairs without me asking them too. Does that make any sense to you? You'll move my furniture upstairs but not downstairs unless I ask??? Will not use Stanley Steemer again. read more

We had a team come clean our couch this afternoon. They were so friendly and professional, not to mention they did an amazing job with our couch. It's spotless! There is no trace at all of any stains or other mishaps from our dogs. read more
