After seeing all the negative reviews I'm shocked!!! I've been using SS for about 11 years in 2 residential properties. They have always done a fantastic job. The employees have always went above and beyond. As for the time window, that's just an estimate. They've been very earlier to even later. In reference to my Stanley Steamer appointment on 8-6-26: The two technicians were courteous and performed their duties well. However, the service to the tile floors and carpets were not what I expected. The tile floors were left very wet. The technician only sprayed liquid cleaner on the tile and then sucked it up. Tiles were left very wet. The service to the shower are did not get everything clean. After it dried, there was a film left on the surface. I will now have to go back and clean that up. The carpet cleaning was done to your standards but not to mine. It was sprayed then quickly vacuumed up. Not a thorough job. The last cleaning we had was with Zerorez. It was a lot better and I will go back to them in the future. The technician tried to keep selling me additional services which I didn't appreciate. I paid $380 for the service that was to be $215. I cannot recommend your company to anyone and will point them to Zerorez. read more

I called for a price for 7 rooms. couple of days latter a guy comes out measures and leaves with no price. I called the office a week later to get the price. $350. Price was fine. they showed up to clean our office and had to leave to meet a client. They said they had to be paid before they started. They were told I would be back in less than an hour. Why do I write this? Because people matter. Soured one of the four rooms cleaned (too much water used), and now are requiring me to pay for deodorizer to ensure there won't be a smell. Carpet only a year old. Totally unethical business practice, totally. Said they would re-clean but making me pay for a deodorizer so that the smell (their mistake) won't come back- shouldn't they apply that for customer satisfaction and inconvenience of staying home yet for another four hour window! Update:Stanley Steemer DOES NOT get your carpet cleaner!They certainly get your wallet cleaner! After my review they requested my contact info which I freely gave. It has been over 1 week and I have heard nothing. I had mentioned in the info that I would like a refund maybe that's why I am being ignored now but that was my wife's request.The only thing they are good for is to pull all of the dirt in your carpet to the surface and leave it there.I gave my wife $175.00 to have 3 rooms of carpet cleaned hoping she wouldn't have to lift a finger. Well she wound up having to shampoo the living room carpet again anyway and you can still see the dirt on the surface of the sitting room carpet . They gave us $20.00 off after upselling the price to $175.00 for Cleaner which didn't really clean anything but my wallet .They were supposed to be at the house between 11 and 3 and didn't show up until around 2:15 so they apparently were in a big hurry to finish. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't have wasted my money with these people and I would advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere. I called them because I had a broken pipe that soaked my carpet in the den. They came out and were supposed to extract the water. They were here for 15 minutes and said ok, we're done. My floor was STILL soaking wet. It looked just like it did before thy started. I was stressed. I asked to speak with a manager and he was rude. His name was Charles Batchlor aka Chuck. He came on the phone with an attitude. He was like what were you expecting? No sympathy. No understanding. It was like he was ready for a fight. I feel like a paid $149 for nothing. I will NEVER use Stanley Steemer again and I will tell anyone who ask the same thing. The only reason I'll give 2 stars cause the tech was at least nice. read more

We needed a mattress deep cleaned here and we were pleasantly surprised at how great the staff is and their work. We plan to come back anytime we need help cleaning and disinfecting anything! Just moved to Huntsville last year. Called earlier last week to set up an appointment. A confirmation email was sent and I took half the day off of work to meet the cleaners. The "arrival window" was set for between 9am-12:00pm. I waited all morning and no call, I finally received a call from them at 11:52 stating they would be arriving in 30 minutes. I enquired how long it would take to clean the 3 rooms I request and was told 1 and a half hours. Since I had to be at work by 1:45pm that day. I nicely told the receptionist that I would be going with a competitor and that I was not happy about the unprofessionalism. She did apologize for the inconvenience. I will defiantly not be recommending this company to any of my family or friends again, which is sad since we have used them for over 30 years while living in Atlanta. read more

A great experience all around. When I called to request a quote they were very helpful. The rates were very reasonable. Once I scheduled the job, they followed up with an email reminder. They arrived on time and even called 30 minutes before arriving. The work was excellent. I will request Bob again--he was heart to work with. My carpets look like new! I also found out they do tile floors and hardwood floors and even drapery! I will definitely have them back to do my hardwood floors and probably some custom draperies. When we moved into our new house we made part of the closing deal that the sellers pay for a deep cleaning service as my boyfriend has severe germaphobia. They hired merry maids- who did the worst cleaning job in history. They vacuumed the rooms and main living area but didn't do the stairwells , no dusting whatsoever, and didn't even go into the garage/ bonus room. It honestly smelt like they bought a cinnamon spray and just sprayed the entire house and vacuumed. So we used what money we had left to call Stanley Steamers for the carpets. I honestly couldn't be more pleased. When you walked into the room it just smelled clean and refreshing. They did all carpeted areas including closets. I called Stanley Steemer and scheduled an appointment for them to clean the carpets at my disabled brother's condo in Huntsville, AL.. They said they'd be there Friday May 23 between 9 am and 12 am, and would call 30 minutes before arrival. I moved all sorts of furniture out of their way to make it as easy as possible. They never called, never showed up, and claimed I'd never made an appointment. Honestly, now, would I have taken off work, using my VACATION time, to sit at my brother's townhouse if I hadn't made an appointment? When I called at 12:30 the service rep claimed "I wasn't in their computer system." She offered no apology.. Part of the problem seems to be that with SS you speak to a nationwide CSR instead of someone in a local office, even if you call the local #.. Never again! read more
