We recently purchased a home. The sellers had two Lab's and our first request was for the carpets to be cleaned. The sellers contacted Stanley steamers. The sellers moved out, to the east coast prior to our closing, so they were not in town to see if the carpets were cleaned. First, when we started to move in, the first thing we noticed was that the house smelled like dogs and urine. Disgusting! Second, there were no carpet cleaning track lines. I have had dozens of houses cleaned and I have never seen a house that did not have distinct track lines. Thrid, my daughter was sitting on the floor in her room and got up and was covered in hair. Fourth, there were multiple yellow spots throughout the house that had a urine smell. Fifth, there was a fresh ink spot on the carpet. We know it was fresh because my wife touched it and she had ink on her finger. It was not smudged which means no water had ever touched it. My guess is that they vacuumed the carpet and thought they could get away with not cleaning because the owners had already left town. The former owners got ripped off for almost $400 and now we are having to have carpets cleaned AGAIN. The receipt says that this job was done by Carey and Andrew. Make sure you don't get them. This is not a reputable company. Buyer beware if you use them. Would have given this company zero stars if I could. read more

Quoted $198 on the computer, they informed me when they got here our living room and bedroom were 2 rooms each instead of 1 each!! My daughter over heard them talking about if they keep charging like this they will be able to buy a new car!! House stinks now and they left half the living room furniture in our dining room. I only gave two stars since the guys were so nice, the actual cleaning rated a one Star. We had two rooms, a chair and stairs "cleaned". We pointed out some food stain in the den for special attention. We called them back the following day, area was still stiff with some food residue. It was not pretreated initially they admitted. They also needed to do some additional cleaning on the chair. Today, a week later, I vacuumed the stairs and noticed dirt on the edges of the steps that they just "cleaned". Disgusted with needing to call them back a second time, we cleaned them with the spot remover they sold us on the first day. A bottle of spot remover cleaned spots that a truck full of vacuuming equipment couldn't clean, something is wrong. Stanley Steemer connected to a disabled faucet without consulting us. There was no handle on the faucet because it was broken. Another faucet was available about 40 ft. away. Later they informed me the primary/master bath was flooded. This has caused between $8-10 thousand dollars of damage. The entire bathroom must be renovated. The manager says they are not responsible. I no longer recommend Stanley Steemer. read more

I think they did a great job on our carpet. However, I found a few spots when they were done and asked them to get them off; if I hadn't checked closely they probably would have left them. The one spot was from gum and they did have to use extra stuff but I insisted and they got the spot out. They were friendly and professional. I recommend them! Carpet dried quickly too and we were able to walk on it when they were done, and our cat and dog had no side effects. read more

They arrived on time, which was good. There were two guys. One did all the work, the other talked to me pretty much the whole time. I'm not even sure why he was there. That day was his birthday and he told me how at midnight he went to a liquor store to buy his first beer (I don't think this was his first; maybe buying it legally was his first). The other guy said he came in dragging that morning. I'm thinking, 'Why are they telling me all this?' The first guy just wouldn't stop talking. I just wanted them to do the job and leave. I know a lot more about that guy than I ever cared to know. I doubt we'll use them again. read more
