I went in today to their office to see about getting a C wire installed so that I could install a wireless thermostat. The lady behind the counter was short, snippy, went down the hall to tell another employee something who then looked at me and started laughing. The heater, a 325K BTU, is 14 feet in the air. I did the installation of it a few years ago. I just had my knee replaced and I was looking to hire someone who could help wire a new Thermostat cable that would accommodate a C wire. Someone that knew what they were doing. The entire cable is open in a metal building. I didn't want to have to climb the ladder and was will to pay a reasonable fee to have a "professional" do that. Instead, what I got was crappy customer service, people laughing at you and the btw we charge $215.00 per hour. Go somewhere else where the counter help at least is polite...and they appreciate your business. read more

I'm really disappointed in my service I received from Stan's Heating and Cooling. I had them come to service my pellet stove for the upcoming winter. They came in and charged me almost $400 for the service call. Last night was the very first time I started the stove since it was serviced, and it still makes a horrendous screeching racket every time it tries to feed. The service techs told me they had tightened something internally to address the problem, so I called them back this morning to tell them it's still making the racket, only to get a call back from a lady who explained to me that they had come out to "service" it, but what I now apparently need is "maintenance" so they want to charge me another $100 to come out again. Their warranty is only good for 30 days, although I had no need to start the stove until last night, so that '30 day warranty' is exactly like no warranty at all! I'm in my 70s, on a very limited income, and I feel like I'm getting ripped off. So, my advice is if you deal with these folks, don't count on their warranty and be prepared for premium prices for inferior work. read more

I wanted larger air return and new air vent cover for my air conditioning unit in a kitchen remodel. I was promised many things and a certain cost it would cost. The Brad was the salesman was the one who promised me these things, so very eloquently. On the day of installation he showed others what to do and left them. The workers proceeded to tell me why everything that was promised wasn't possible. It looks terrible and didn't accomplish any more air return. Then my bill was $85 more than what was quoted. I called twice to ask them to asses my bill because things promised weren't accomplished. I was told, "the bill is what it is." I'm very disappointed in the service. They don't stand by there product warranty's. They sell you things that don't solve the problem. The staff is rude and curt and act like you are a bad employee that is not worth there time or just an idiot that doesn't understand. If you don't have the money that they tell you to spend then they don't care. So if you don't spend enough at the pump come on down to Stan's heating they will take the rest. T read more

Hired them for remodel to check out system and install new vent system. Said they would have to charge a premium to put in flat metal ducting to bring up to code. Did a hack job. Installed cheap flex hose and left laying on ground. After many complaints they came over and strapped up some tubes but left the difficult ones on the ground. Still doesn't meet code and still didn't put in the product I paid them a premium for. Recommend avoiding them. They will scam you if they can read more

Very helpful had problems with a new air conditioner that the people who installed it wouldnt warranty it less than a year old called stans and they came out all i had to pay for was freon and shipping for new warranty part 200.00 vs 1000.00 from people who sold the unit will have them back and recomend them to family and friends read more

I got a free energy house call from Idaho Power when I called to make an appointment with Stan's to check out my home I checked every day with them from morning to evening for 8 months on his calendar on the phone and he refused to make an appointment with me. Thats how he treats Seniors or people that live in mobile homes. I hope Idaho Power didn't pay him for a no show. read more
