Great till you need to use their warranty. I paid 400+ dollars for glasses that within a year broke all by themselves. I was folding laundry, when the wire on my semi rimless glasses popped. I work in an office, I am not active so it was not my fault. I took them back. The gentleman was nice enough to fix them. Told me I had a frame warranty, which I paid for, so it would only cost me $45 for him to fix it. To fix the problem in their product?!? he said my warranty cover 20% of the cost, and that I was responsible for the rest. I asked him if he was sure and he thought it was fair, he shrugged his shoulders. He was new, but this response and charge was terrible. I'll never go back. Why would you ever sell a warranty like that? Lesson learned. Would not recommend. Regrettably, this is why so many businesses lose to online services. The only value you have is the face-to-face customer service. I would've been better off paying half the cost online. I will not be bringing my family back. read more

How can I resume the terrible treatment that I received at this place. I spend $580 on two glasses that they were not event capable of making them right. After 8 tries of making changes and measurements my eyes,they just weren't capable of even making a correct eye exam. The doctor Douglas Handley lack a bunch of sympathy and professionalism. The multiples times that he checked my eyes he did it in a rush way, not caring if the measurements were exact or not. The employees at the store even laughed at me in a mocking tone when I entered the store to pick up the glasses, I felt really disrespected with that. The person that started the derision was a woman that is always in the background but never talk. The craftsmanship is also terrible. They heat and handle glasses with brute force they event melted and scratched my glasses trying to change the lenses. Well in summary after all this stressful situation they denied in giving me a refund or any kind or compensation. Please stay away of this business. I visited the Cutler Bay location in July 2025. The appointment was for my son for contact lens exam. I did my research prior to the appointment regarding pricing and reviews. Enrique was the technician assisted us. Appointment started on time. The exam was very thorough. Enrique was very helpful and patient. However, he wasn't all knowing about the specials/discounts being offered on Stanton's website. Which I had to show him. Subsequently I had to do some haggling. During our discussion, Enrique asked the manager Elizabeth to join us. I guess I was asking to many challenging that Elizabeth excused herself stating she had a "Zoom meeting". After pricing was resolved, Enrique ordered my son's contact lenses and also cut the lenses for my son's eyeglasses onsite. We returned two days later to pick up his contact lenses. We were assisted by another technician. She pulled up my son's information on the terminal and retrieved my son's contact lenses. She also adjusted my son's eyeglasses frame. During our wait time for the adjustment, Elizabeth, the manager came over and asked my son and I to move over to another area and preceded to assist another customer at the same terminal were my son's information was still on the screen. She made an off-handed joke as to why she asked us to move. I didn't find it funny at all. And I took offense. We moved as asked. By the way, I am African-American and Elizabeth is Caucasian. I must say her undertone seemed racial and made me feel some type of way. Overall, I can say, Enrique and the rest of the staff provided great customer service but I will not return to Stanton Optical. Maybe, they should make Enrique the manager. read more

Horrendous customer service, the 2 salespeople didn't say "please" or "thank you" during the whole long process once. They use a optometrist from the internet. I have got a great deal years before at the same location when it was a different company and great quality customer service, not anymore, the salesperson was trying to make me spend as much as possible until I told him to stop. When my new glasses were delivered to my place I realized they are garbage, unusable. I didn't get checked in here, not I got new glasses... I just was around this mall when I happened to look down and my glasses slid down and, when I tried to catch them, I bent one of the hinges of the temples... I tried to un-bent it and the screw jumped out and I couldn't screw it back in, so I just got into the Eyelab and asked if they could do anything for them. Well, they did. They greeted me right away, but I had to wait for a while until someone on the staff was available. So, yes, they acknowledge you immediately, but they do finish up taking care of their current customers before actually addressing you. When it finally was my turn, the lady who checked my glasses took them , changed the screw, straighten them up a bit, cleaned them well and gave them back to me. Pretty fast and pretty clean... and really straight. They did not charge me for this. And, yes, I know many eyeglasses stores tend to do these little fixes without charge, so it's not such a big deal, but I also know that many of them just kind of do it fast and carelessly and just kind of wipe the lenses a bit and give them back to you... So what I liked here was the care they showed when doing this tiny - but important or my vision - little service. read more

I was standing in line to pick up my contacts when a man cut in front of me. I pointed out that i was in line and the man called me a bitch and stepped close to me as if he was going to hurt me. The front desk woman said she knew them and so they had priority even if they were not standing in line. I was disrespected twice- by the customers and the staff. It's a shame because I had previously dealt with Juan and he was exceptional. Hopefully they stop letting their friends cut lines and call other customers bitches. To start off, I had to return about every 2 months due to issues with the frames...second, I paid for the 2 yr warranty on the lenses...when I went to get them replaced, I was told I'd have to pay 20%...apparently my deductible. I decided to wait until they were really bad instead of just wasting money due to a minor scratch...nearing the end of the warranty period, I decided to have them replaced and am given a lens replacement deductible of $54.60 per pair...$109.20 for 2 pair that cost an initial $270... how is that 20% of the lens cost? The girl tried convincing me that I got the glasses on sale at a great discount but had no good response when I told her if it's the same "sale" every day of the year, it isnt really a sale, it's the normal price so the cost to replace the lenses should be at most $54 (that's if you count 20% of the full purchase price including frames) Never again read more

I came in as a walk in and was seen very rapidly . This is why, I rated as a 3 stars. Literally, I didn't get a chance to sit down. The staff was friendly ( a course my attitude played a role because I'm friendly) There was a staff member that was beyond friendly, and helpful. I can't remember his first name but, his last name was Hussein. Awesome young man !! He help me search for the perfect frame for my style, and my facial structure . So for starters, the promotion they offer is misleading. But I won't get into that. Their staff is unprofessional. Maybe one or two of the women who work there are nice and helpful but I can't say that about anyone else I spoke with. They (or the man that was helping me) don't explain any of the pricing. He didn't ask what kind of special details I wanted with my glasses. He would just add and remove things to adjust the pricing. He kept walking away while doing my order which would explain why I got the wrong glasses when I picked them up. They said it would be about a week or two but it was three weeks. I don't care too much about that. I ordered one pair of prescription glasses for everyday use and a different set of frames as prescribed sunglasses. When I received them, my everyday glasses were fine, but the sunglasses came as the same frame as my everyday and the tint was the wrong color. Horrible experience.. Myself and my son both had an appointments with the doctor. When we arrived, I was told my son couldn't be seen today because he has to see the actual dr. I was a bit confused but went with it.. Well, when I went in for the exam, I was shocked.. It was a virtual dr, no one tells you it's a vital dr. Apparently the dr is only physically there on Fridays. I go today to pick up my glasses, the girl opens the box and I say, those aren't the ones I ordered.. She opens the second box, I make the same statement. She looks at me like I'm crazy, looks up the glasses in the computer and says, these aren't the brand you ordered... She goes to talk to a gentleman, which I presume is the manager, and he tells her that he got an email that there was a lab mix up on all ordered that were submitted on the day I was there. I don't understand, if you knew there was an issue, why not have it corrected prior to calling me to tell me my glasses were ready. I have been waiting 10 days and now have to wait, who know how much longer to receive what I paid for. There is no customer service. Very disappointed!! read more

First, I would like to say the girls that work there are polite but the eye doctor that is there does not speak. I ask her several questions and she just looked, smiled and moved her head. I've never gotten my eyes checked because I've never suffered of blurry vision. I went in just to check my eyes for them to tell me I need glasses for minor astigmatism. The doctor did not even come out to speak to me and explain what was going on with my vision. When scheduling my appointment I was impressed of the great customer service . The gentleman was super nice and professional . unfortunately , I was 15-20 minutes due to me getting off the wrong exit. I walked in and apologized told the girl I was late. She looked to the side where the doctor was sitting and asked if she was going to lunch. The doctor looked at me with a face looked back at the employee and shook her head yes. The young lady told me "she's going to lunch you'll have to come back in two hours" wow! No , I'm sorry the doctor is leaving for lunch ( I get it we have to eat) you can fill out the paperwork sign in till the doctor returns. My issues: the doctor gave me a nasty look, they didn't offer to at least attend me while the doctor was having lunch . I've had numerous eye exams it literally takes no more then 15 mins. Not even 15! Maybe she could have done the exam. Yes, I was a little late but where is the customer service ??! My coworker was waiting to see how it went for me to make an appointment . Horrible experience. I had appointment on (4/21), was seen in reasonable time, but not by a Dr. I did not know until the end when I was told that I had to wait for the Dr. to return my signed prescription because she was at another store. My contacts didn't work, I went back and the same girl was in the store (No Doctor). She had me try many contacts and non worked, so I had to go to another location to see the Dr to get the correct contact prescription. My salesman (Johnathan, whom I was told was helping from another store) was pushy and dishonest, he didn't want to give me time to choose my frames and charged me for 2 club memberships without disclosing the charges. I returned the next day (4/22)to ask for a refund, spoke to manager, Alex A. who has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL. He promised a refund the next day and didn't deliver. I called him numerous times and walked into the store 4 times and he was never in, and never returned my calls. My husband walked in on 5/7 and spoke with Alex and he promised again, he will do the refund the next day and didn't, again. I only got my refund when I emailed his Supervisor P. Lozano. I wrote the email on Sunday 5/13 at 8:00pm, I received a response from Ms Lozano an hour later, apologized for my troubles and told me I would get a call on Monday to resolve the issue. On Monday at 9:20am, I was called and by 9:50 I received a receipt that my refund had been issued. I gave this store 1 star only because It's the only way to start the survey, really wanted to give it a negative -5, only because of Johnathan and Alex, the other employees were ok, nice and courteous. To P Lozano and the Customer Service Rep that called me and processed my refund I give them 5 stars, these 2 provided great customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND THE CUTLER BAY STORE. If you have to go to Eyelab then go to another location, but beware of Johnathan, I don't know which is the store he works at. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received while getting my eyes checked. I went in for a simply eye exam not expecting to buy any glasses. After explaining this I was treated very poorly. The gentleman was upset he wasn't going to make a sale and threw the paper at me after several advances to get me to purchase the glasses, told me to apply for a credit card, from $400 he went down to $300 and then he is like if you take them today is $250. So I visited today for the first time this place Eye Lab to et my annual check thinking during lunch it will give me some time . I arrived only two staff members with very poor customer service. I had to approach one and said I have an 11:30 appointment . Didn't even ask my name , and said seat in the back. I see more people coming in and they are being checked in , so after 10 min I get up and say im new do I need to fill any paper work ? the staff states wait until they call you , so a sat again. After 30 minutes of seeing everyone in and out of the office I go back and said how long is the wait for my appointment I been here since 11:20 for a 11:30 appointment. I made an appointment a week in advance to go in at 11am. They took about 20 minutes to attend me and the place was completely empty. The dr that did the exam for me seemed completely lost and needed help with every procedure. I got asked the same question a thousand times. When they finally did the actual exam the machine was not working and the majority of the employees didn't know how to fix it. They made me leave the room three times and made me wait another 20 minutes for them to figure out what was going to happen. The staff is extremely rude when I asked about the promotion that they told me about over the phone and the one they have broadcasted all over their website. they told me I had to wait for the prescription to be sent to them. Which took another 30 minutes. All in all it was the worst experience ever. I was there for 3 hours just for an eye exam. You have a better change if you go to "Americas best.." read more
