I have never complained about any business before but this is horrible and needs to be heard. Before writing this, I called the specialist I went to to make sure the paperwork they sent to doctor Browns office included the diagnosis "Nuclear Scloerosis" (Cataracts) and it did. When I called Doctor Browns office a few days ago, Sarah said she did not see that on the paperwork... it seems Dr. Brown does not read Eyes well nor does his staff read paperwork correctly. In a nutshell, I have recently learned I have Cataracts, and not from Dr. Brown, my eye doctor who I have had three exams with over the last year and who, according to his website, is supposed to be a specialist at detecting Cataracts. We all make mistakes, this is true, but when I repeatedly went into his office saying that they were missing something because I could not see well, I was told that is was probably allergies and was given eye drops to use for two weeks. I did as I was told but the problem did not go away. When I called the office to tell them so, Sarah, his front desk person, told me "Ms. Flynn, I don't know what to tell you. Dr. Brown says you are fine and we are seeing a lot of allergies right now so that MUST be it"... so I went to a specialist and learned I do indeed have a problem, actually two, that require surgery. Not detecting my Cataracts after three exams, from a doctor who is supposedly a specialist at detecting Cataracts, that's not good....but on top of that being treated by the staff as if I'm crazy because I keep going back telling them there IS something wrong... WOW! when I called Dr. Browns office after my diagnosis from the specialist, she (Sarah) denied seeing my diagnosis of "Nuclear Scloerosis" on the paperwork they sent over..... and told me if I came in the office to express my dissatisfaction she ( Sarah) would call the police...they have a very small office and don't want anyone to overhear how incompetent they are. It's been a nightmare with these people... go to a real doctor!

beware of this place!!!!! if i can give them zero stars i would have! please do not go here! they…read morewill give you the wrong prescription so that you are forced to buy the glasses from them! i took my son for an eye exam and i had asked for a copy of his prescription because they did have not have the glasses he wanted. so i ordered his glasses using the prescription the eye doctor gave us. when the glasses came, my son said he could not see from it. so i went back to this place (clarkson eyecare in sharpsburg) and told them that the prescription they gave us was wrong and that my son could not see. i asked them if they can refund me for the glasses i paid for and they said they could not give me a refund because the glasses did not come from them, but the prescription was from them and that they have nothing to do with that. (it would have never happened if they just gave us the right prescription to begin with). ****a prescription is a prescription written by a doctor that have a license. so if a doctor gives you a wrong a prescription wouldn't that be called malpractice??? imagine if you take your child to a hospital and the doctor gave you a wrong prescription with wrong dosage and your child dies, wouldn't it be the prescribing doctors fault that your child dies because of malpractice for giving wrong prescription??? it's the same thing with glasses. you get a prescription from a licensed doctor, they examine you so that they can make sure you can see properly because without glasses you cannot see properly. what if something bad happens to my child because of him not being able to properly see from the glasses prescription the eye doctor of clarkson eyecare in sharpsburg gave?? i should be able to sue them for prescription error in the form of medical malpractice. ****ps, they messed up, they want us to get the glasses from them. they won't even give us a refund for them messing up the glasses.

He takes the time to explain everything and show me what he is talking about. I told him what was going on with my sight and he was able to tell me exactly what Che issue was. I took his recommendation for treatment and within the week my sight was already better. Not only that he took the time to forward his notes directly to my Rheumatologist so she would be aware of the issue - he said he extremely dry eyes could be caused by issues she could test me for, to make sure I was ok. I love it when doctors are thorough and communicate. I feel like they are truly interested in making sure I get the best care. Dr was personable and clearly communicated with me Office staff was patient and courteous

Someone in the office has to leave a sticky note on her computer in order to get a call back to schedule a surgery. We were also required to pay a certain amount up front in order to schedule the surgery, and after that was reported to our insurance company and they found they had overcharged us by close to $2000 they did not issue us the refund we were due. It was not until 3 months later when I realized we had over payed somewhere and called their office to figure out where the breakdown was that they issued the refund, and placed the blame on me for not getting the refund. Basically, if I had not kept up with our finances and called their office, I was told we would not have received this refund. Dr. Wilson was great but we would not use his practice again purely on the basis of the incompetent office staffing system.

The office is clean and comfortable. There is a great selection of eyeglasses and even though my insurance was not accepted I most likely will return for my next check up --that's how great they are at Thomas Eye Group!!
