Dr.Samuels and her team are wonderful and extremely helpful. I have been going to IC Optique for years and have always been treated with great care. Dr. Samuels and her team are the reason I still have the ability to see. I had a very dangerous situation with my left eye that if not properly diagnosed could have left me blind in that eye. The doctor worked quickly to examine and get me the proper treatment to save my vision. Every time I have called for help with my vision her and the team have went always taken care of me. I had a positive experience with Dr. Kathy and the office staff. So positive that I brought my elderly Dad in for an exam and glasses, even though we had to pay out of pocket for out of network service. We spent more than $1,200 on exams and glasses. I was not given a copy of my prescription as I now understand is required by the FTC. I called and asked for my prescription and received a copy with no issues. However, when I asked for my pupillary distance the office staff was extremely rude. They refused to give it to me and while the law on PD is vague they should provide it as a courtesy and their rude response was uncalled for. They said they will not provide it because it would allow me to take my prescription elsewhere. The truth is I do want to buy a cheap pair of glasses (online) that I can use to take to the beach or other locations where I don't want to scratch or lose my very expensive prescription reading glasses. It is my choice and my medical record, which I paid for as part of my exam. I will not be back to this office and don't recommend it. read more

I have been a patient here for over 6 years. I am over 40 years old and seen many Optometrist in my years since I was ten. This office is the best in the area for me and my family. They listen and truly care about us as patients. I am so proud of their office controls to prevent the spread of COVID-19 since three out of five in my family are extremely vulnerable to the virus' disease. Their selection of eye wear is well thought out to show even more how much they care about their patients and I should mention the technology and techniques utilized are always up-to-date or on the leading edge. This office is extremely friendly and offers above average eye exams that cover more visual health than just how well you see. Not to mention that the the doctor has a healthy and pleasant manner but is serious about making sure that you are aware of your eye health and role in it. The glasses available are high end this is not a budget shop with $99 pairs of glasses. This is a place to buy frames that will last not only in construction but also in style. Most of the styles are timeless although a few are more eccentric than others. Having worn glasses for 12 years this was the first time I dealt with staff that I felt had more in mind than just my wallet. While small I felt this place had a diverse selection of frames including some that while super expensive were really amazing in craftmanship. The quality of the lenses is also above par as well featuring advance coatings and super thin profiles for extra light comfort. Truly this was by far the most pleasant experience in eye care history for myself! If you can pay the price you and your eyes deserve to go here. Full disclosure: they have an alternate test that replaces the eye puff which is amazing, and I purchased frames hand crafted in Denmark out of titanium how awesome is that?! read more

Very poor experience. The eye doctor was busy online shopping during my eye exam. Then I got charged an extra $70 above and beyond what my appointment should have cost. They said it was a contact fitting, however, I had already told the doctor I did not want a contact fitting because I was keeping the same exact brand I had before. Lastly, the doctor asked me if I wanted to keep my old contacts and I said YES. She said, "really? are you sure? I can give you a fresh pair." I replied, "No, I just opened this pair, its still new and I don't want to waste them." SHE LITERALLY DIDN'T LISTEN AND THREW MY CONTACTS AWAY!!!!! Will never go back here!!! read more

I love working here for Doctor Samuels. She's so intuitive and she makes everyone feel like family. In response to a recent review from Sarah B. - this is the true story: Her story reported inaccurate information. She does not give the full story, including the fact that it was her insurance that gave the prices for her exams. We had explained her insurance information to her the year before, and apparently she still did not understand. She told us she did want a contact lens exam and we even offered to let her go with only an eye exam because she didn't understand the pricing of the contact lens exam. She then said she would rather pay us and never come back here. We ordered her contacts for her and shipped them to her as a courtesy. Her prescription had changed, and so Dr. Samuels kindly gave her two new pairs of contacts so that she would be able to see better than with the prescription she came in wearing. She claimed Dr. Samuels was "online shopping" during the exam which was entirely fabricated on the basis of the doctor scrolling the mouse on her computer to perform the exam. read more

Going to the eye doctor hasn't been a great experience for me ever since my long time practitioner who happen to be my Uncle, retired. His thorough hands on examination of my eyes since I was 4 years old, was second to none and has left me spoiled but very knowledgeable when it comes to my eyes. Since I am blessed with vision insurance and now hitting middle age, I make sure I see the doctor once if not twice a year. Unfortunately, most insurances try to get you to go to chain offices. i.e. vision works, Walmart, Lens crafters. During my experience with chain offices I found their practitioners to be younger, inexperience doctors or doctors that rush the visit because they were on a timer. So I was turned off and I shared this with my sister. She told me she was having the same feelings and problems until she decided to find a old school practicing practitioner. She set up an appointment for me during my next visit to the Atlanta area. I am so glad she was willing to share her doctor with me. She did inform me how beautiful the office was and what a great selection of frames were offered, something we were use to when visiting our Uncle's office. She also told me to get ready to see how much beautiful designer frames really cost since we never had to pay in our 30 years of getting glasses free. But her detail description about Dr. Samuels and her staff are outstanding. I found Dr. Samuels to be a very season professional that spoke to me about how our over all health can effect our eyes. I didn't feel rush and she had time for all of my questions. The state of the art offices provided a warm environment to discuss my concerns about my vision. I was so impressed with the testing and care that was given to make me feel comfortable about my aging eyes. I renewed my contract prescription and I decided to get a pair of high end glasses since her selection was unique and classy plus my eyes are worth it. I got a pair that will compliment my wardrobe. A pair I will be proud to wear out and not just when I have my contract lenses out at home. These are not your grandmothers glasses. I'll start out with the positive: I really liked Dr. Samuels and felt she gave a great eye exam. She is very personal and friendly. However, the rest of my experience here was not positive at all. I was told they could give me glasses the same day, the whole reason I chose them in the first place, but that wasn't true. Also, there is no refund or return policy in place, either on their website or on the paperwork. This being my first pair of glasses, I was blindsided to many things that I should have questioned up front. I wasn't allowed ample time to choose my own frames and my eyes were dilating during that process. The technician just handed me a few frames instead of allowing me the chance to look myself and then within five minutes, I was whisked back to the doctor as soon as my eyes were dilated. Of course, afterwords, I couldn't see to make a good decision on anything. When I questioned the cost of the frames I was brushed off and told they would give me that information later. The tech, Liza, wrote down a few figures on a piece of paper and I couldn't see any of it. It was upside down and scribbled in her handwriting. I saw $89 for the exam and that was all. She rushed through the rest. I felt ambushed and was charged for options I may have reconsidered on the lenses had I understood the pricing breakdown. When I did pick up the glasses, I had to go back to get my paperwork and remind the technician to print my prescription. I was quoted $89 for an eye exam but charged $149 per the itemized invoice. Online the frames I ended up choosing due to the way they rushed me on that decision go for half of what they charged. I know that I would have chosen other frames that were more to my liking and suited my face better. I'm totally disgusted by the way this business is run, especially under the circumstances. Had I known, I could have bought what I needed online - simple no line bifocal READERS for $100. The doctor could have advised me better and instead allowed me to spend $851 I didn't have here. I was totally taken advantage of due to my inexperience and their lack of explanation. read more
