This week I went to Bloomsburg Staples to mail returns to Amazon. While waiting in line I realized I left my phone in my car & needed the QR codes. I turned to the woman behind me and said "my phone is in my car, I'll be right back". I left my cart with 3 pkgs. in it in line. When I came back a minute later I realized she jumped ahead of me so with a puzzled look I asked her "Did you jump the line ahead of me"? Her response was "you left"!?!?! Seriously? As she was going back to her spot behind me an obnoxious fat lady in front of me thought she'd be a smart ass & told the woman she could get in front of her, and so the woman moved to the front of the line now. Mind you, I'm a senior citizen with chronic back pain, I use a cane and a walker and I just had both my hips replaced. I explained this to the woman and it meant nothing to her. So I asked to speak to a manager to explain what just happened. The young "acting manager" listened for half a second before the fat lady jumped in and in a combative tone said "She left the line". When I went on to explain that I didn't leave the line, I went to my car to get my phone & left my cart in line, the manager threatened to "throw us both out"! Her exact words! Why me? Where am I in the wrong here?? So she just let her jump the line while I had to stand there in pain longer than necessary. I thought this was extremely unprofessional and she did not address the issue. She should have kicked them both out! To her credit, she did offer to take me at another register. Today while I was back in the store I decided to speak to the main manager to let her know how this was handled. As I was speaking with her, I could see that every word I said went in one ear and out the other. She just had a blank stare. She made excuses for her acting manager, no matter what I said. She said she was probably busy and had a long line and I told her there was no line in her section but she continued to make excuses Instead of saying, "I'm sorry that you were treated that way and that our manager didn't do anything about it, please accept my apologies on behalf of Staples". Instead she went on to tell me that the other two ladies called her to let her know that the "acting Mng." didn't do anything wrong (in the event I called.) She also said that the "fat lady" told her I "hit the back of her legs" with my cart, which is a complete lie. She probably hit her own fat ass on my cart while backing up to let the other lady in ahead of her and blamed me!!! The "acting manager" as well flat out lied to her superior by saying she told us "if we don't stop she wouldn't wait on us". Uhhh NO, she yelled and I quote "I'll throw you both out"! Due to principal alone, I was compelled to contact the District Manager after that conversation, and he couldn't have been any nicer or more understanding. I'll continue to go to that Staples because it's the only one within 60 miles and because the DM was sincere, understanding, apologetic and said he'd address it. Same-day service is not really the same day. In before noon is supposed to be by 6:30 PM, but what they don't bother to mention is that they lock the doors at 7:00. I ordered online before 10, and I checked the box to notify me by phone when done. Don't count on it. I did receive an automated call at 7:21 PM, well after closing. I'd already stopped by at 7:06 PM. Three others arrived at the same time. All of us expected closing to be at least 8 PM. The boy in the service area wasn't about to budge. Staples' price is ridiculously high for such deceptive policies. I'll leave another review tomorrow when I trek back and actually see the quality. read more

Service was good. Not overly hovering, but staff available for assistance in: scanning, printing, looking for items. Same pricing as all Staples. After seeing what we were doing, I wish they'd have offered that they have USPS pick up in the store. We drive around looking for a blue box, finally went back to Staples to ask where closest post office is, and they said they would have it mailed. Other than that, everyone was helpful. read more

Staples moved to this new store in late 2015, and is now located in the same plaza as GIANT Food Store and various other businesses. Store I would say is about 25% smaller than the old location. Shopping at Staples is very hit or miss and they lack the amount of associates of a Best Buy. Stopped in here twice in one day, first stop I was looking for a specialty item and got the "we don't have something like that/stupid" look from the associate, and that's ok I'm going to order the item online. Second stop in, I needed stamps, and somehow they were out of them. Weis Markets got the sale instead. Overall it's hard to justify a stop here unless it's a very badly needed item and that's rare. Later note: Recycling of e-waste here is made very easy, you bring it in and they take it to the back. There are some exclusions and there is a per person per day limit, but overall they do a great job. read more

Don't ever order anything online from Staples. They show "free store pickup in an hour," but that's never really available. I opted to go ahead an order a computer keyboard because it would be available for pickup at the store in 2 days. AFTER I placed my order, THEN I'm told that it won't be there for another 5 days. I tried to cancel it online by clicking "cancel order within 30 minutes" but, of course, that's not possible. I called Customer Service. "Oh sure, I can cancel that for you, but there's no guarantee it will be cancelled." Huh????? Lesson learned. NEVER ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE FROM STAPLES!!!!! read more

Being a chain store there's not a great deal to say about Staples that hasn't already been said better. They don't have the best inventory, but then ordering parts is pretty much to be expected whenever you need something very specific for a PC and they're primarily an office supplies store anyway. In that department they're fantastic, best in the area. Their computer repair guys are extremely helpful, however, and will discuss your issues with you at length. Their prices for diagnostic are reasonable and their staff is very knowledgeable about common builds of computers off hand. I cannot recommend them enough for that and encourage anyone in need of PC repair in the area to consider Staples' service. read more
