I stopped by to visit the Party City selection. I was very disappointed in the slim selection of decor they had. I was looking for firefighter/truck theme, there was none. It was mainly just balloons in which they were more expensive than elsewhere I went for balloons. There was a worker at the aisle for assistance if needed. Parking is on site. read more

I've never been comfortable walking into this store. As the door shifts one way, then you have to make a weird right, then a left and then you are inside, but set way back from everything, allowing ample time for the sales reps to size you up and then not help you. After getting sizsed up at the print center and received a quick answer, I opened my file, made a few copies and was ready to leave. I'm always looking for a sale on a particular pen that never ever seems to go on sale here, no surprises once again. I grabbed a three 3x5 index card packets, you can never have enough of those, and off I went to wherever I was going. My experience with this location endscas it started -- not very good customer service, certainly not proactive and prices that never budge on the items I'm looking to purchase. While this store is clean and conveniently located, I think those are the only reasons it is still in business. The staff members are consistently rude. In person and over the phone. (Even pre-COVID) I have never seen a "happy" staff member, you can't find anyone in the store when you are looking for something or have a question. Every person I have encountered in person or over the phone, seems annoyed you have called or would like to it for your selections. It's not that hard to just not be a jerk. read more

Yet another terrible experience with this location. Order and item for store pick up that had five available units at the time of order. I received an email 45 minutes later that the item was out of stock. I had already paid when I ordered but now I must wait several days for my bank to be credited the refund. Apparentl, no one keeps their inventory records up to date. I have been verbally abused in this store in the past for refusing extended warranties. This Staples location in West Ashley is one of my go to locations for office supplies. This store is very convenient and easy to get in and out of with everything on your shopping list. I like being able to to go in the store to shop and touch and hold everything before making a purchase. I have found some really good values on office furniture here over the years among other larger items. The staff here is very helpful and provides immediate assistance when you need it. This store has been very consistent and reliable throughout the years and has come through in some times of need on multiple occasions. read more

For over a half hour I wandered around looking for someone to help me with a purchase. The only people I could find were the two at the copy center (whom I've encountered before at the same store) ignoring customers as usual while watching videos on the internet. The entire time there was an announcement over the speakers "customer support, you have a call waiting" again and again. Finally I go into the center of the store and yell "does anyone work here?". After a long silence I yell "OK. just going to take this chair to the car without paying!" That didn't seem to work, so I left. Thanks to Amazon I now have a new chair! This is "the" place where I go for office needs and where my office goes (as it is maybe a half mile away from the office) for supplies, when not ordered and delivered. Today, as one of the many, very wise Charleston Yelpers said last night: If you need water because of the approaching Category 3 (or 4) Hurricane Matthew, stop here, as no one would think of Staples having water. While here, I got some liquid but unrefrigerated coffee creamer (Hazelnut was the best that they had), Halloween candy and, oh yes, 24 bottles of bottled, flavored water. (My dog Lady can have the unflavored water which I already had at my house.) No office supplies today, but I will be back. Even with the store about to close at 1:00 PM today, the service was quick and uneventful, as it always is. While looking around, an employee asked if he could help me. Wow! I went here to pick up some office supplies this week. With all the back to school sales and me working at home, I try to stock up on office supplies during the school season to save some money. Plus, I had to go to Earth Fare so it made sense. The store isn't bad. It's fairly clean and there are workers around to help you find things, as I had to ask several times. Not all of the sale prices were marked though, and they were almost out of some of the items I needed. I'm not sure if they'll get more in, but when they're running low on something on Wednesday afternoon, it may not be there at all if you wait until Saturday, the last day of the sale. So, if it's on sale at Staples... go early! I'm glad I did. I'd probably go back for more sale items or office supplies. It's convenient being beside the grocery store. read more

THE place to come for office and school supplies. This store is always stocked, organized, and clean, and compared to the other Staples in the area, while smaller, it has the friendliest associates. They always have sales in the front of the store that change out weekly, and include some of your must have's. I use the Copy and Print Center on a regular basis and without any problems. When I do come across something that I need help with, the person over there is always very knowledgeable. You can even print from a USB drive. You can send faxes, even though they are a tad on the pricey side. They make really nice same day business cards too! Skip the long checkout lines at the big box stores and just come here! Big tip: Sign up for their newsletter and you'll receive all kinds of really awesome coupons! read more

Small Staples in a busy parking lot that kinda sucks to get in and out of. They did not have what I was looking for but directed me to their other location in Mt Pleasant where they had the item in stock. He did mention however, "wow that it s really popular item, we are always out of it". Well, duh, order more. The nice sales guy also offered to order the item on line for me and then have it delivered to my address. (yes they will do that with anything they carry online) Remember that you can not look up anything on their computers because they do not have a web browser. Not the fastest process. read more

You could say this place is my office away from home. I get all my printing done here. Great customer service in the print area. The computer guy was a big help with my laptop and the manager was there to help me find something on another occasion. I would go here over any other quick print store. read more

I use this place out of necessity and needing things printed. I don't mind reduced hours for a holiday or any other reason but my confirmation email for my order being ready for pickup should state that before I make a 20 min drive. My confirmation email said they closed at 9 when it got changed to 8. I was 4 minutes past 8 and there was still people in line checking out but the manager made it clear that I could not come in and pick up the thing I had printed. Adjust your emails if you change your hours for the day or be a little* accommodating since I just came when the email told me to. read more

The employee in the copy shop is SO rude! She acts like it's the biggest inconvenience to wait on customers. The 2 older men who sometimes work that counter are helpful, but I haven't seen them in a while. The woman with the long hair wig acts as if it's the biggest inconvenience if she has to answer a question or ring up a customer. I had a pretty terrible experience with the store today. So much so, that I have made my last Staples purchase ever. I ordered an At-a-Glance calendar online on July 3, 2017. The order stated it would be delivered to the store on July 7th. After being out of town last week, I went in store to pick up my order this morning. I have not once been contacted by the store or customer service, mind you. After 20 minutes of waiting for the sales rep to look for my item, a woman named Sherry comes out to "help" me. She indicates she can't find the item and gives me a post-it note with customer service's number to call them and ask them where my item is located. I call and the spend 15-20 minutes on the phone with the first representative. I am told that it has been delivered to the store I am standing in and she asks me to stay on the line so she can call the store to help them locate it. After listening to the customer service phone in the store ring for over 5 minutes, I find Sherry and explain what the customer service rep told me. Sherry spends the next several minutes continuing to look at and switch around ink cartridges, rather than acting as though I was a priority. I could understand if she were helping another customer, but she was simply re organizing ink cartridges. She asks me to ask the rep on the phone who signed for the order because she cannot find it. At this point I had been in store over 30 minutes to PICK UP AN ITEM ORDERED ONLINE OVER TWO WEEKS PRIOR!!! I get disconnected from customer service and have to call back and reexplain/go through the whole process over again, while Sherry leisurely walks around "looking" for my item. The second customer services rep on the phone was more helpful and basically said she would just ship a new one directly to my home at no charge. Mind you, I've now spent almost an hour on what I thought would take 5 minutes. Bottom line, this store is filled with employees who do not appear to care about customer satisfaction. read more

We ordered a folding table to be delivered to the store on Folly Beach Blvd. It was scheduled to arrive on a Thursday. No time was given but an employee said the deliveries come after 12pm. we went after that time. We were told it had not arrived so we waited, and waited, and waited - for THREE HOURS. we had to search for someone who would help. It turned out the table had BEEN THERE ALL ALONG. We live over an hour from the store thus the waiting vs leaving and returning. Printing- NO Good- NOT reliable. Went in and had 2 files to print. Several at 11x17, and several at 24x36. How long? 2 hours, okay I came back in 2.5 hours. Only 11x17 done, and didn't know how to print out 24x36. Big meeting I needed this info for and don't have what I needed for the next day. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME WAIIT 2.5 HOURS FOR SOMETHING THAT TAKES 20 MINUTES. Never will I go again and neither should you. The person working the print shop was incompetent, and looks like they just left their last job at a dive bar last week and now works here, with a Biker headband and all- real professional Staples.
