This place is extra painful. I come here regularly for Amazon returns. Seldom, I will purchase something. Anytime I come in here, the place is very empty. There are usually three to four associates hanging out. The area for Amazon returns changes regularly. There is a gentleman who regularly helps with Amazon returns. He is relatively slow at the process and doesnt understand it. He has made several mistakes resulting in me having to work with Amazon for weeks to get a return. The other associates, including the manager, laugh at this man's misfortune. Its just sad. With regards to service related to the rest of the store, it remains miniscule and frustrating. read more

Shady employees. My mom printed something and employee said don't worry about it, didn't ring her up, and asked her to walk outside with her. Turns out she asked my mom for some cash (any amount) in exchange for helping her out so she could pocket it instead. We've also had two occasions where our shipping address autocorrected to this staples for some reason. We are pretty confident one of the employees kept them, as we went in person on one of the occasions to ask and their stories did not line up with our courier's info. This individual got extremely defensive about the situation which was really suspicious. It's whatever since staples is going out of business anyways :/ but it sucks that their employees really don't care about doing the right thing or seem to have decent morals. read more

Do NOT take any orders that have a firm in hands date to the Staples print shop on Beechmont!!!!!! I don't even know where to begin but will sum it up by saying that this store has dropped in quality, customer service. and professionalism in the past few years. They don't seem to be able to hire quality personnel from management down. I took an order in on a Monday and was told it would be ready on Wednesday. It's Friday and they can't tell me when it will be ready--if ever--since the manager finally admitted he didn't know what he was supposed to do with it..... From blaming an employee that didn't show, the fact that it was a custom job, to the fact that "a lot has happened between Tuesday and Friday" the gentleman I spoke with used every ridiculous excuse in the book except "I'm sorry", which would have gone a long way. The manager admitted that they took other non custom orders (I assume that means easier orders like copying, printing etc.) in front of my job. my job wasn't difficult--lamination of 25 front and back 5 x 6ish sheets and then spiral bind. The sheets were already printed and a digital file was provided to ensure accuracy of the order before binding. They had my phone number if there were any questions. Staples! Get it together! Maybe try to be a competent, stocked, and adequately staffed office supply and business center before trying to sell discount furniture. read more

Went in for a pack of envelopes. There was one person ahead of me to check out and the cashier helping her was the only one stationed at the registers. He stood with his back turned fumbling with something, I'm assuming was for her, for at least ten minutes. Meanwhile, a group of four employees were standing directly in front of us, talking to each other like no one else in the store existed. You would think that seeing customers standing in line waiting to give you their money would be an incentive to help, but I guess not. UGH. This review is two fold. All I wanted was to print some free printables from online on some label paper. Customer Service: 4 stars. The manager personally walked me over to the printing area and introduced me to Tyler who was amazing and patient while we tried to figure out this dumb printing fiasco. TO STAPLES CORPORATE: How do you expect these people to do their jobs when they have equipment from 1990's? Seriously, I thought I could walk in and press the "EASY" button. NO this was one of the most ridiculously painful experiences I have ever witnessed. You don't have equipment that can read a USB from my phone. Insane. And after knowing that, you tell me that you don't have the internet and can't just take a file out of my dropbox. WOW. Thankfully your employee Tyler finagled a way to get the file out of my phone through a separate behind the desk computer only after jumping through hoops for a half hour. This computer then proceeded to take 15 minutes to download the file of printables. This thing was a gateway I think. Yes, that old. Someone needs to be maintaining quality control in these stores because I know I am not the only one this has happened too. Last rant - you don't offer label paper in your printing shop? SO SO dumb. I had to go buy a pack of 10 full label sheets at $15 then bring them to the printing shop to load in the tray. I only needed two labels made. So when my total for printing and label should have been under $5 it was now $24. Seriously, worst ever. Go to a local printer who has the right equiptment. Never again. read more

Some days back, my laptop stopped working. It heated up quickly soon after it is switched on. I gave it to Easytech department in Staples, Hyde park for repair service. They said it can be fixed and asked me to pay diagnosis fee of around 75$ including service fee. They said it is not refundable if for some reason they could not fix it. I paid the fee. After 3 days they called me and said that the windows operating system in my laptop was corrupted. To fix it, they said they had to get OS CD from HP and reinstall it. They got my approval signature then. But after 2 weeks they called me again and said they could not fix the issue even after reinstalling software. Now they figure out it was due to burnt mother board. however they did not back up any of my files and all my photos/videos are lost. my question is they charge 75$ for diaganosis and how can they miss to notice a burnt mother board? I lost all my personal files plus 75$ and did not get any service done. My opinion is the service engineers here are not skilled. Also It is not fair to bill customers such high charges even when there is no repair service done. read more

Truly awful experience at this location. They have an awesome management team, some of the best people I have ever met. Their tech department is sound, despite people coming and going. The copy and print center has messed up my orders a number of times and when I showed the work to other staples locations they were baffled as to how they could mess up something as simple as cutting business cards evenly. I paid for time on their PC but it wouldn't connect to the Internet, so I requested they print my documents and I would pay for them again. The lady who works their copy and print center told me to " just leave" after asking for help, I guess she couldn't be bothered. Snapping at me loudly, and as I recall she was the individual who messed up my print orders. Perhaps she is under trained or nervous but she needs attention. Won't be back to this location with a FedEx so close who offers superior support and functioning machines. read more

So frustrating. I used the printer and then it wasn't working and the guy in the print shop said he would help me and then when he estimated the cost out it was 4x the price of the printer. He cut it in half for me and acted like he was doing me a favor. He said it was because of labor costs. But their printer was broken, so I literally had no other option to get it printed. I recently purchased a router from this location. I moved into my new home and got spectrum and they provided a router for me. I went back to this location to return with no receipt. The supervisor on duty I believe his name was Rick was not helpful. He immediately told me there was nothing he could do for me and was not willing to work with me in anyway. I went to another staples and they happily let me return it and get credit on a gift card. I won't be returning to the staples on Paxton where Rick I assume will still be working. read more

I came in to have a single sheet of paper blown up. I politely asked if I could do so. The supervisor, Gary, told me to do it myself at the self service center. He then yelled "what do you need!?". I told him. He said that I couldn't do that. He came over, I assumed to help me. He really came over to tell me that no one could help me and someone else was a coming in later that could. He had a nasty attitude and treated me like garbage. Gary should not be working near customers. I will never step foot into a Staples again. read more

I ordered a document to print almost a week ago that I had already purchased and no one informed me was ready. Although when I called to check the status of the print, they never laminated to paper like I paid for them to. I went around 9:10pm because their holiday hours were posted online. When I got there they holiday hours were also posted on the door but the doors were locked. I proceeded to knock but instead of any employee handling it maturely, they decided to stare at me though the door, not say anything, then hide behind a wall to where I could no longer see them. Another family hoping to shop pulled up and they were excepting their store to still be open as well. We knocked a few more times then someone finally yelled through the winder at us "we are not open!" We tried to show them the sign posted on their door and explain that online it says they were. Once we walked back to our cars with no luck, they left the store and never finished their jobs of working until 10pm. So disappointed as this print I had to pick up was due the next morning at 7am. read more

Don't go to staples a whole lot but each staples seem the same. Everything is well labeled in the aisle. Prices seems fair, and the staff is usually friendly and very helpful on fining the items I need in the store. The staples on Paxton is very much the same as any staples I go to. read more

Unfortunately, I had a horrible customer service experience at the Copy and Print Center yesterday morning that has me never wanting to shop at Staples again. I had never used Staples' copy and print services before but have always had good experiences shopping in the rest of the store. I had walked up to the Copy and Print Center service counter with a flash drive of word documents I needed printed out. There was no one there when I walked up - they had just opened - but a man from the front of the store called out that he'd be there in a second. When he came over, he looked like he had just woken up and had a look on his face that said he did not want to be there. He reluctantly inserted my flash drive into the computer and took an angry/annoyed tone with me when asking which ones I needed printed. I felt like I shouldn't even be bothering him and nervously said, "all of them." He raised his voice at me and started naming off each folder in the flash drive, again in an angry/annoyed tone: "The 'completely done' folder? The 'missing image' folder? Which one?!" I responded by saying again, "I need all of the word documents in each of the folders printed." And he responded, with an even more annoyed tone, "But there are at least 200 documents here, you need ALL of them?" And I said "yes, literally all of them." At this point, someone else had stood in like behind me. He stopped helping me and turned to the lady. He asked her what she needed and took care of her for a minute. Then he went back to the computer and started scrolling through my word documents. He said he couldn't print them because they went against the rules of the copying of art policy and that I would need permission of all of the artists in order to print their work. I started trying to explain what the images actually were and he blatantly cut me off and continued to lecture me about the rules. He didn't once ask me what they were. If he would have let me share what they really were, he would have realized he was wrong. At this point, I was getting shaky and upset because this employee had been blatantly rude and unhelpful to me from the very beginning and clearly wanted me to leave. I stopped responding to him and let him lecture about how he could lose his job if he printed my files. I didn't say a word and was about ready to leave when he finishes his lecture and says, "Ok, I'll do it this time but next time we just can't." I would have taken my business elsewhere at this point but had already tried Fed Ex who had too long of a wait time, and didn't have time to go anywhere else, so I stayed." I calmly said, "ok" and proceeded to ask him what the estimated print time would be. Again, with a reluctant/annoyed tone, he says, "I don't know they're still loading. Maybe 20 minutes?" I said ok, and he took down my name and number and said he'd call when they were done. I sat in my car for 20 minutes, then 30, then 40, then an hour. Finally, I walk back in there to check in and see the stack sitting on the printer. He sees me, then brings them over and doesn't even apologize for not calling to tell me they were done. I swear he did it on purpose. I was so angry that I literally didn't say a word to him as he babbled about how they were out of order and rang me out. I was calm and kind from the beginning and did nothing to deserve that kind of rudeness. Also, I've worked in customer service for 8 years and understand that sometimes you have bad days. BUT there is no excuse to treat someone like that even on your worst day. read more
