If you have windows 10 on your laptop, you may experience an epidemic of hard drive corruption that seems to plaguing a lot of windows 10 users where suddenly Windows locks up, and when you attempt to "restore" you get into a loop where you see the computer spooling and you get a message "undoing changes"! It did this all night long to no avail! Being without a computer drove my wife to near insanity!! We got her an appointment at one supposed computer repair place in Florence and said it was $99 to diagnose the problem and additional $$$ to fix it and it would take 2-3 days!!! My wife blew a gasket! I suggested we go to CPR and see what they could do. CPR had fixed my Iphone sometime back, and they had repaired it in an hour for about $50 and I suggested we give them a try. We went to CPR, and discussed the problem with a really nice, polite and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE young man named Adam and asked him if he could solve the problem and also install an additional 8 GB RAM card that we had purchased previous to this disaster. He went to great detail about ways to deal with the Windows problem and what he would have to do. He said he would also install the Ram card, and said he would try to have it done the same day! Well, at 4:00pm, he called my wife and said it was finished. He explained that the windows had been corrupted, he cleaned the mechanical hard drive, reloaded Windows, placed the boot sector on the SSD drive so it would boot faster, and installed the RAM card. Then he explained, in plain English, to my wife how to restart her computer, connect to our wi-fi and get her up and running!!! And the charge was about $90!!!! I thought my wife was going to propose to Adam on the spot! Adam couldn't have been any nicer or more competent!!! CPR has NEVER let us down and I highly recommend them for your computer or cell phone repairs!!! read more

Walked in and asked for help to unlock my SAMSUNG Galaxy S23 Ultra that i had inadvertently locked while attempting to transfer data from my old iphone to my Samsung via "Smart Switch" which isn't an "all ya gotta do" procedure. The young man who is now there was totally clueless a said "I can't do that". A couple of years ago my wife had lock herself out of her iphone and the young man who was working at CPR at that time unlocked it and helped her set it up in about an hour. We were so disappointed to discover that that young man had finished his degree and had moved on. We, we then left and got a recommendation to try the phone store in Lawrenceburg (Verizon on U.S. 50, Eads Parkway at Florence Dr.) which we did. The young man there, named Eddie, said, "I think we can do that AND(!) transfer the data from your iphone to your Samsung, but it will take a while, maybe 2 1/2 to 3hours." Well he did it while I went to have breakfast. 3 1/2 hours later my new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra was unlocked and all of my data was transfered!!! I was amazed!!! I broke my LCD screen for my Google Pixel 4a and I came here because of their reviews. I was able to book an appointment for the next day on their website. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted and the employee told me that it would take 2 hours and cost $200 which was reasonable since online fix it kits would cost $166. Please look closely at the reviews. I had reported an issue with this location 10/6/23 after being stuck in Belgium with a broken phone they repaired the day before my trip. The screen needed replaced and I was told they had one left in stock. It worked about 24 hours when I arrived in Belgium and the screen went dark. They claimed I damaged it and made cracks about it not having been broken on itself, but I feel the screen was cheap and damaged to begin with. They wouldn't work to replace it for free or offer any reasonable alternatives. Now, I had this phone for nearly 4 years with no issues with my prior screen. I dropped it and it broke with many visible cracks on the screen. So, when I went in, I did receive a new screen that was good in overall appearance, but worked a very short time. I mention the 4 years because that's how careful I am with my phone! So, there is no way I would of damaged it on the ride over, I had nothing to press against it, and it was never dropped. The manager of this store was horrible as was the regional in Texas. Clearly they are not customer service oriented. The staff seemed nice enough aside from the arrogant manager, but if you read some of the other negative reviews, you'll see others experienced similar issues in a very short time after having their phones repaired. I find that rather odd and believe their screens come from China or some place cheap. Maybe they even have a way to do a quick fix that causes issues to make you return in a short time and have to pay again for another screen. There are other options! Look into those first! read more

Don't waste your money! We had our iPhone 5c screen replaced. That same night, it was unresponsive so we brought it back. They played with it for 10 seconds and said it was fine. A couple of months later, the screen popped out and the phone quit working! Now they won't honor their warranty! When I called to complain, they hung up on me! So if you want to waste your money, be lied to, and then hung up on, iRepair is the shop for you! I can't believe you have the nerve to ask me to call back when you hung up on me the last time I called. My son never said he dropped the phone. You are obviously making things up to cover your horrible customer service. I find it interesting that your warranty covers defective parts but not defective installation. I guess it's my fault for not reading the small print. I just ordered a replacement screen from Amazon and replaced it myself. It took 15 minutes and cost only $35! That's definitely the way to go. Jack and Chris did what good business people do, make sure they go above and beyond to make sure that a dissatisfied customer becomes a satisfied customer. The iPad is fixed after multiple attempts and functions as promised. They honored their warranty and stuck with it (after a negative yelp review- see original post) until I was happy with the outcome. I was going to rate them with 4 stars, subtracting 1 star for the original hiccup. However, I decided that they get the additional star for overcoming adversity and ultimately making sure the customer is happy. I was literally just told not to bring my "unfixable" IPad back despite a very clear 1 year warranty that states otherwise. The screen had a simple crack in it caused by what was a minor drop by my daughter. The iPad worked fine otherwise when we brought it in the first time. When we picked it up it looked fine but when we got home with it, the device began "ghosting" which is a very disabling action whereby the IPad basically acts like someone else is pushing all the apps. We took it back and they gladly took it back and said maybe the screen is "pinching something" and they fixed it again. We got out to the car and it began the "ghosting" again so we turned around and walked it right back in to the store. This time they said "maybe the apps are causing the problem", but they agreed to keep it over the weekend and fix it a third time. I just picked it up this morning and it is doing the exact same thing, "ghosting". I just walked back In and asked what could be done. The store clerk told me to take it home and hook it up to iTunes and reset it. My reply "and if that doesn't work?" His reply "then the drop caused the damage". The only reason she paid it was because she was desperate and the employee promised and assured her that she could get it fixed "no matter what" with your warranty.
