One time I needed a mini SD card asap (please respect my privacy on this issue). The woman taking passport photos is good at it. We just got my husband's passport back and he looks amazing. I don't know about you but there must be 75 pens in my home orphaned from various banks and five jobs ago that just never seem to work. That's where Staples comes in. Rather than some grandiose New Year's resolution concerning peace in our time, I'm simply going to collect and toss every pen in the house and start fresh. They have aisles of them and no Bic ball point will do, as I currently have accumulated 20 of their stiks in every color except blue and black. How and why I have absolutely no idea. I think I've decided on the Pentel EverGel RTX which is either a nifty name for an industrial lubricant, a video game or my mid-life crisis sports coupe. This place has everything "staple" in it for your office and WFH needs. Problem is they have surplus of everything that a lot of items are strewn on the floor. They have good offers on select items and we got a lot of items from our last visit. The Print section seemed pretty busy as a lot of foot traffic was going into that direction only. The checkout was smooth as the staff was quick and kind. The reason I rate this store two stars less is for the reason that it is not well-kept. There were ladders in the middle of the walking aisles, items on the floor or busy employees stacking up items during business hours. One thing is really commendable about this place is, it being wheelchair friendly with respect to its entrance and the washroom. This is where it is even more important to keep the items in their places so that people can traverse through hassle free. read more

I needed a print job done, total two pieces, when I called in several hours later the person working told me a bunch of vague BS instead of checking on my order and when I came in the GENTLEMEN working there told me I left too quickly for them to get whatever code they needed WHEN I ASKED TWO EMPLOYEES I WAS GOOD TO GO. They did print my job at the end of the day but I was blatantly ignored and lied to by lazy employees. It was $53 for two 12x18 peaces of cardboard. read more

If there was an option for less than one star, that's what I would give this store. Don't know who does the hiring, but customer service, in printing, is awful. Laughing, screeching, barely acknowledging customers, the atmosphere feels like a party, not a business. Add to this, no supplies, empty staplers and zero assistance, this business is going down hill fast. read more

I went here to purchase a laminating machine. No one in the store could help me or tell me the differences between the different machines they had. All they could tell me is to buy the one I want. It makes me sad that store staff is not properly trained on products that are sold in the store. Eventually due to reasons like this consumers are going to just go online to order products and these stores will no longer exist. I wound up getting the product online from a different vendor, and was able to get the information I needed prior to purchasing by speaking with someone who was very knowledgeable read more

The Staples near me closed, so North Brunswick is now the only one near me that's open. The store is large, and sells great office furniture for a decent price. Staff is a little cold, but probably is just trying to do their job for the day. I don't normally shop here, because it doesn't really have stuff at the regular basis, but when I do its okay. The store is clean. and not crappy looking. No dust or dirt around you. The location is good, ebing there's no stores like it around it. Good store, with good products. read more

Since the Staples on route 18 and the Staples in Milltown closed, this is our new store. The store always seems to have whatever last minute office-supply I need. And the employees are always happy to help me find it. But, my favorite feature is the UPS and USPS (post office) drop off service. One trip, fast and friendly service. I have also used a copy center for blueprints and the service was fast and efficient as well. read more

I needed a document printed from my email so I called this location to ask if they do that. The girl on the phone sounded like she was 12 and muttered "yeah". Upon arriving, I approached an employee near all the printing equipment to ask where exactly I go to print something. With an attitude, she points in the direction of a bunch of computers, printers, etc and goes "over there". Being as though she was of ZERO assistance, I assumed I had to log into a computer. After I mistakenly inserted my debit card and got charged a $5 pre-authorization fee (bizarre in itself) another employee told me I was in the wrong spot to print. Visibly frustrated, I tell her that's why I asked an employee upon arriving and noted how they were no help. She ignores me. No empathy, sympathy, response, nothing. Ok great. The job gets done and instead of only having to pay 15 cents for 1 black and white printed document, I was charged 50 cents in total between the computer charging me 32 cents to simply log in and printing the actual document I needed. So, in short, thanks to this location's blatant lack of customer service skills, I wasted money. It was only 32 cents but it's the principle. I'm glad I got the stupid $5 back but as someone who has always worked in the customer service industry, I could never imagine being so rude to a customer. I'll never go to this location again. The customer service here is consistently poor. Wait time at the business center is beyond reasonable. Employees response when asked for help "you are going to have to give us some time" really? I'll go somewhere else. Today I waited more than 15 minutes before anyone lifted their head to respond to my asking for assistance to ship three boxes. Meanwhile the line was building, the man behind me left. I finally asked for a manager and was told there was no manager in the store at the moment. It was pointed out that one of the employees behind the counter and ignoring the long lines was the man in charge. He had his face in the computer and then just walked away! read more

Went to store this morning with 3 iphones and a mac book pro all with problems. The technical service representative Atilio was extremely helpful. He took the time to help me with all 3 phones and the computer. I wish Apple stores and Verizon stores had personnel as professional, knowledgeable and patient as Atilio. I went to this Staples for help with a screen protector for my child's phone. The associate, Attilio Zanetti, was extremely helpful. I had ordered the wrong item. Attilio returned the item, found the correct item in the store and installed it for me. Also, my daughter is interested in engineering. Attilio was happy to discuss this with her, all while providing excellent customer service. He was personable, knowledgeable and very helpful. It was a delightful experience. read more

As overwhelming as my trips to Staples - Copy & Print usually is, this trip was simple and seamless. I needed to get some pages spiral bound but I wanted to include tabs. Ozzy was super patient with me and provided options. Typically I also have long waits but Ozzy was able to provide me a fast turnaround. Considering it was nearing the end of the evening I appreciate his customer service and willingness to help. read more

I visit here all the time for office supplies. To me, the most difficult & challenging department in the store is the Copy & Print area. I have been to Staple locations all over the country and always encounter rude customers demanding unreasonable time frames for all their print work to be done. Anyone in this department has to be an EXCELLENT multitasker & genuinely nice, outgoing person with a LOT of patience to handle the stress of customers. I wanted to mention Carina C. specifically, because she has ALWAYS been very pleasant with me, explaining how to copy, print or any other type of services I need done. She is always busy running around, but she will come to the front desk of her dept. as soon as she has a new customer. She acknowledges the customer and helps them, including me, the best she can and she is still able to return to her many projects and complete them, on time for other customers. I have a choice of going to a few other Staple stores in the area, but I try to finish my work here, because Carina is the nicest, best worker I have ever seen at Staples! read more

Called just to make sure they had what I was looking for before I made the trip over and wanted to know the cost and the lady said "We're doing inventory so it's hard ya know?" the customer service here is absolutely horrible. the store was clearly not busy and employees were on their phones. when I asked for help with two simple 5x7 photo prints the girl behind the counter seemed visibly annoyed that she actually had to do her job and directed me to the computer to do it myself. when I asked how to print the specific size she pointed to the paper cutter next to me. I have never cut a photo before and she just left me to it. I needed this print to look professional and by doing it myself it didn't. so not only did I waste a trip all the way over there, I also wasted money on using the computer and paying for the prints which are unusable at this point and I am now in a fowl mood because of the entire situation. the manager offered a sincere apology which was nice of her but I can honestly say that I will never be returning to this location. this was by far the worst experience at a staples that I've had to date. read more

TERRIBLE. I went to this Staples to have some 4x6 photos blown up to 5x7's,which I was intending to use as part of a birthday gift the next day. I believe this is something that should have just taken a few minutes to do yet somehow I ended up spending 30 minutes there without even getting what I needed. There were two employees working the counter. One girl was asking customers what they needed to have done. The other girl was on the phone almost the entire time. After about 10 minutes the first girl finally asked what I needed. I explained to her what I was looking for but she told me that they would not be able to do it that day. When I asked why she said that she was getting off in a few minutes and the other girl was supposed to get off a couple hours ago. Additionally they had other orders (which customers placed online, etc) which still needed to be completed. She told me I could leave the photos and it would be ready for pickup tomorrow but I explained to her that would not work since I needed it as a gift for tomorrow and would not have the ability to stop back before then. She told me to wait and she would talk to the other girl (when she got off the phone) to ask if there's any way it could get done that day. During the roughly 20 minutes I was waiting, I witnessed other customers tell the employee what they were looking to have done and the employee explaining why Staples would not be able to do it. I've never seen something like this in my life. Eventually the other girl gets off the phone but she only confirms that my job could not be done that day. Why would you turn away customers who took the time to come there in person? Not all orders can be placed online or far in advance, etc. Shouldn't there at least be one person to take care of the customers who come into the store? There were other employees who were free but they were not helping (I guess they only work other departments within the store). By the time I left there were about 8 customers still waiting to be helped and/or in the same situation as me, trying to understand why what they needed could not be done. Overall VERY unprofessional and poor customer service. Will DEFINITELY be the last time I ever come here. read more
