If I could make it a zero stars I would. The staff is rude and unhelpful. Maybe there's better Staples stores, but this place sucks.

I had a rush print/copy job and the Staples employee in the copy center could not have been more gracious, helpful, or kind! It was a Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock, and she was able to help me immediately, and I was out of there in 15 minutes! I stopped in the route 1 staples for bubble wrap,etc. according to the sign bubble wrap was on sale for 18.99. But, it rang up as 32.00. The associate said I need their app for the 18.99 price. (That was not posted on the sale sign) I had not been in a staples in about 10 years so I did not know their sale policy, however, the associate did not offer for me to take the time to download the app. A smaller roll of bubble wrap was either 5.49 or 12.99. He scanned the it and said it was 12.99. Again he did not offer me to take time to download their app. No customer retention offered!!!! I went to my local UPS store for the purchase. The prices were better and customer service was awesome at the UPS store. Goodbye staples!!! read more

No one will be surprised in the least when the robot apocalypse takes over at Staples. Can you direct me to the plain manila file folders? "Over there" says the emaciated Skylar with all the enthusiasm of a defective kiosk as she points vaguely to nowhere. Well, I know they're over there... somewhere... but so is North Dakota, can you be a bit more specific? "Over there..." she repeats wanly as she lists to the left under the weight of her name tag and her voice trails off into the vacuum of the rafters. It's too bad that their staff is limited by hypnosis and sleep apnea because Staples is really not a bad place to shop - well lit and despite my earlier encounter, logically laid out for easy navigation. I have also had some really good experience at their in-house print facility. It will cost you well north of four figures to get ten presentations copied but body ink for the well trained staff in this department isn't getting any cheaper. If you know what you want and need with very little human intervention, Staples is your store. Damn the apocalypse. read more

We had to leave a review because we had the MOST helpful employee this afternoon. It was 30 mins until closing on a Sunday and our order wasn't ready for pick up. This employee, Joyce, went above and beyond to find the problem and troubleshooted so we could receive our posters before closing. She was calm and so polite even though so many folks were there requesting different services at the same time. She seriously handles pressure well and we really noticed and appreciate her stellar customer service. Thank you, Joyce! read more

I stopped there on the way back from Penn Medicine Hospital after visiting someone. I wanted to pick up a few mail supply items and check out. When I got to the register there was a lit light post without a cashier behind it. There were bewildered customers standing near it. I assumed they were attempting to use a self checkout and had become confused There were a few woman who worked there standing close by speaking what might of been Hindi to each other. I asked them where the next self check out was. One woman curtly responded that they did not have a self checkout and said to Put my merchandise on the register. I apologized and put my items up on the register. She then said to put my credit card in .It did not work. She became angry and said to do it again. She never said please, Thank you, made eye contact or attempted to help. I asked her to please explain what she wanted me to do? Again no personalization. I asked her why she had such poor manners ? She and her friends began to laugh and mockingly said Please.... A coworker who was a gentleman stepped in and helped me with my card. I thanked him. The woman again smirked and mockingly said "don't forget to say please and thank you... haha" What kind of place allows this to be a chat center and not care about me or the other customers waiting to be serviced ? read more

This is a nice Staples in Princeton. The store is large and quite clean. They do have a great variety of office supplies, such as chairs, notebooks, printers. A lot of also school related stuff as well. They are filled with folders, binders, pens, pencils, and much other stuff. I didn't have any interaction with staff, otherwise probably my review would be lower. LOL. One thing I would mention is I never knew Staples was so pricey. Who pays $20 for a notebook. Also, it smelled like pencil shavings inside, which almost made me want to leave the store. But, they do have a great variety, so I will say that. read more

Sometimes, you need an office supply that Walmart doesn't have, and you can't wait to get it on Amazon. That's when this place justifies its existence. But even then, it doesn't do much more than that. The line is maddeningly slow, even when there's practically no one there. Why? Because they ask you a lot of questions, even if you're buying a 2-pack of pens. The shipping desk has a can't-do attitude. Pretty much every interaction I've had there involved them telling me, flat out, that I would have been better off going somewhere else. In the most recent visit, they actually sent me to the dreaded line to pay for $5 in postage. They also made me identify the contents of the package, in writing, which USPS does not require. And when I got to the front, they asked me--you guessed it--a whole bunch of extraneous questions. read more

This specific store is both my favorite Staples and store by far. All the employees provided me with excellent customer service, specifically associate Vinny. When I came in confused about where to find markers, he not only lead me to the correct aisle, but answered all my questions about which would be best for the type of designs I was planning. He made my experience quite enjoyable and stress-free. I strongly recommend this store for all of your paper/art/photo/tech/chair etc needs! :) read more

Asian manager (believe his name is James). Needs to be fired for this store to even stand a chance. Refuses to price match an item from Office Depot. His reasoning is that the nearest Office Depot doesn't have it in stock. I showed him that it's clearly available to ship and their own posted policy says that online stores are covered. James responds: "I'm the manager and this is how I've always done it" I bought item at Office Depot website, And 20 minutes later received shipping confirmation. Mr manager didn't want to honor the 110% price match because the difference was large and he doesn't seem to realize he's in America where business reputation matters more than turning a profit on every sale that you make read more

Don't come here to print. Brought my laptop to print something. The manager (Ash?) said I had to email the file to Staples@printme.com and get code. Was trying to send email but Staples spotty WiFi kept disconnecting me. Same manager said I either had to log on to their computer (for a fee) to access email or buy a flash drive and put file on that and print. Either way it was going to cost me more than the .50 cents per page. I asked manager if there's was another option that would not cost me more since it was Staples internet that was spotty. Flat out said no other options. Not helpful at all. read more

Very poor service. Not sure if the Copy & Print staff is way too overloaded or if they are just lazy. All I do know is, it's the first Staples I've gone to that won't take a walk in order of 25 single sided color copies on normal paper. I was told I would have to send my order in online and wait a day. I tried using the self service at first but it wouldn't read my USB drive and the staff wasn't inclined to help because they were ... too busy or lazy? Corporate definitely needs to take a closer look into this branch or they will end up getting an even worse reputation as a store. Winter is coming corporate...cough cough Amazon. Had an unhappy experience in the store recently. The store made a mistake charging me extra fees for an item. After I fully communicated this situation with the store manager named Andrew, he acknowledged the mistake they made. However, he used some illegitimate technique excuses to refuse a refund. I was shocked by his unprofessional behavior. I finally got this problem solved by calling staples online help. Speaking to a store manager is even less helpful than talking to an agent over the phone! Staples Princeton store certainly need to improve its service quality. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could I went in to print a shipping label. Went on a computer, printed, and their printer was down. Lady tried to fix the printer for about 15 minutes, ignoring me when I asked if I could just simply get a refund for $10 I was just charged. Finally told me she could print it for me on the employee computer. She did, and I asked for some tape. She said it would be an extra $1, like I didn't just spend $10 sitting there waiting for her to fix the printer. Ridiculous. I didn't have time to argue, I was on my lunch break. Really poor customer service. Manager Rob Bice basically just shrugs shoulders. Makes no attempt to help. The cashiers are ok but no one else in the store seems to want to bother to help. Undercover Boss should go to this store and see their performance. They would be appalled. The copy center and the computer repair are incredibly slow. I've already found better prices online so I won't be wasting my time looking for help there. I mentioned my experience to others who said oh the Staples by Whole Foods is awful. read more

I totally agree with other reviewers about the bad service here. The cashiers are generally OK, but the manage's attitude really scares customers. I had three purchase experiences there and none of them was happy. For all the three times (buying kindle, ipad case, and keyboard), the prices shown on the register were different from the label prices. The cashier brought them to the manager and explained the price difference. The manager always told me for multiple times "Do you want it or not? You either pay the high price, or you do not get it." I agree with the other reviewer that this store (store 0140 - Route 1, Princeton) has a "can't do" attitude. I went to the copy & print center on the morning of 11/5/15 to print out labels. I purchased Avery labels specific for a laser printer. I placed and printed one sheet at a time and it was printing perfectly fine. As I was on my last sheet to print, the woman behind the counter said I can't print labels on that printer because it's a laser printer. I told her I was using laser printer specific labels. Then, the manager (who I assume to be) of the copy & print center came out and said the same thing and that if the labels get stuck he would have to call it in for repairs. I told him I have printed labels at other Staples locations (again, one sheet at a time) and they never had a problem with it. Then I proceeded to ask him to help me print out the labels on another label-specified printer and he said that none of the printers can print out labels. Plus, not to mention no where did I see a sign or instructions that labels could not be printed. What is the copy & print center for? Fine, I can't print labels on the laser printer, but he could of made suggestions on how he could help me print the last sheet of labels. Instead he walked away to the back and avoided me by helping other customers. He was not helpful at all. Other Staples locations have even helped me print the labels. Don't even bother wasting your time at the Princeton copy & print center because they'll just say they can't do anything for you. read more
