Amazing customer service by the solutions shop guy. The women seemed nice enough & were helping other customers at a steady pace & answering calls but this guy was going above & beyond. He gave us enough information we needed to do things on our own but kept checking back in on us & happy to answer any questions we came across. He took time to help my friend and me understand what her wedding invites would look like printed from the types of paper options listed. He provided good examples why it's cheaper to place the online order for a normal pace vs in-person or even as a day request. Also explained why different things cost more (and why you can't bring paper in for them to print on). He showed us what format was needed (it's better in png for staples Canva system than pdf), knew enough about the online system to guide us through the order site randomness & help us get the print layout she wanted. What really was the above & beyond effort on his part, he recognized how painful the system was to resubmit (the site froze twice on us) so as he had created the samples pieces, he had all the info to start on the invite order (and was half way completed before we left). It was wonderful to confirm that things were completed the way she wanted for the largest invite piece. The only reason I selected 4 stars on here is that as a disabled person, I was struggling to stand for us to complete the order. Thank goodness for a sturdy counter but this has been a long time issue of mine at any staples when doing print jobs (whether by myself at the individual printers or at the main desk when helping friends). A few counter height stools would make the world of difference. Heck, I would of been happy with a bench or some "demo" office chairs. Especially as I had to keep shuffling out of my leaning spot for other customers to use the debit machine (they had it connected to the other till but weirdly placed on the other side of the second till standing space). Other than very sore feet (and my aching back), we were both very happy with the service & what will be printed. **Two trips from out of town, 45 minutes in store, two days later I'm still charged for a desk i don't have** Do not shop here! The Staff, and Manager here, were rude and argumentative. I drove in, from out of town to buy a desk, that the website showed as in stock for pick up. Upon arrival I asked staff to help with the desk. First employee went looking, About 10-15 minutes later, a different employee asked what I needed.. I repeated my simple request a third time. I waited in the store for about 30 more minutes before I went looking for help.. the store was nearly empty. I found the employee who said he was looking for me, but "he couldn't find me" (again store nearly empty). Then he told me they don't have the desk (I was now assuming the floor model was the "1 in stock") so i drove home and tried to order the "1 in stock online", They said I could purchase it at a discount (manager approved), I would just have to go to the store and they would refund and charge me again, in the store at the discounted price.. So i drove to the store again, when I arrived the same manager told me they just sold it. About 6 staff members huddled for a while leaving me standing there. I ended up getting the floor model at the discounted price, however two days later I still have the charge on my account for the full price of the desk originally placed.... Brutal customer service here, starting with the manager. read more

This Staple's location is smaller with fewer choices in each department than what I was used to in the U.S. - it's the only one I've visited here so don't know if it's typical or not. I was disappointed not to find items I wanted, but on the other hand, I was impressed how organized they were for parents shopping for back-to-school supplies, with lists for every school in the area. It's not necessarily easy to save any money here, except on their specials, but at least it's stocked and all in one place. As another reviewer mentioned, no one seems eager to check on whether you need assistance - I roamed the aisles trying to find an employee without success. I had to recently return an item and commend that employee for making it a quick and easy transaction. read more

Aweful service , I came to buy some labels. First walk all the store to find them , then came to pay and the manager tells me they don't have debit working. Not even apologize , just said sorry can't help you then. If your machines are down debit at least make sure to put a note letting customers know BAD service the manager was a woman with short shoulder hair length and glasses. I'm not a huge fan of Staples, I find it very over priced. They have a great selection of office/school supplies but they are definitely limited when it comes to other things. Like any big department store finding staff to help you is impossible. I'll continue to go to Staples just out of convenience but it's not my fav. read more

I was in the Staples in St Albert, in the isle to shop for external Harddrives. An employee came down the isle with a customer, saw me standing there looking, looked at me a couple of times as he was helping someone and when finished he walked away in the other direction. Didn't even ask if I needed assistance, which I did. Two more associate's walked by, saw me and kept on walking. Nobody bothered to come and ask me if I needed help. I even went to another isle to look at other items I was looking to purchase, and nothing from anyone. So I left the store to find another place to buy what I needed. You think with all the whining about losing money during these crazy times they be more in tuned with customers when they come in to the store to shop. Not impressed and will not listen to the whining anymore as well. I am finding more and more stores are using the covid as an excuse for bad service. Nothing has changed except we are wearing masks, I do not need to be treated like a nobody. read more

This store works hard to lose my business. I needed a photo ink cartridge for my HP printer. Sales associated insisted that 'this one' was the right one even though it didn't say photo anywhere. Low to no staff and whenever you call store for product info no one ever answers the phone. It's impossible to reach them by phone !!!!!!

Was at this location yesterday around 6 P.M. to shop for a new desk top or lap-top. There were 4 or 5 employees all chatting when I entered the computer section. After over 15 minutes of mulling around, I was surprised that not one person came over to offer assistance, especially since I was the only customer in the entire section. I inadvertantly sounded an alarm on a lap-top when I touched it, prompting a young sales associate to come over. After he apologized, I remarked that this was one way to get someone's attention, yet he returned went to his social gathering of fellow employees. I only stop by to make some photocopies and I was surprise of the expensive prices they have $1 per copy black and white, color was $2 per copy (while you can find the same service for $.15 B/W) Using a computer connected to a scanner was $18 per hour or $.30 per minute, An easy and fast way to rip people, for sure I wont stop by that business anytime soon. read more
