Smaller chemists offer more of what I really look for in a chemist, I think. That little bit of individual care, attention... assistance. Parking is good - nice generous spots, too. It's on a big site so they can use the space nicely. I think I'd be more attracted here if it was closer to home - if it's close to your home it should have everything you need.

Norwood Chemmart just doesn't have enough of these things. The other main downside is that they don't have any seating. This is an issue when your main clientele involves elderly people who prefer to sit while waiting, and achey sick people who aren't too good standing up. Yes the shop is small, but a bench wouldn't go astray. On the other side of things - service is friendly and they have the essentials. It's not a bad pharmacy, but it could just really be a bit better.

The staff here are helpful and friendly and professional, and it's always been super fast to get my prescriptions filled. It also has your usual handy thingamabobsies that you hit up chemists for. The only thing I will knock a star off for is the lack of "fun stuff". When I'm waiting to get a script filled I'm a prime target to browse and buy an armload of other stuff, you know, lipstick, pawpaw, fake eyelashes, face masks... all those little beauty treatments that suck you in. Unfortunately for the Day & Night pharmacy they aren't nabbing my hard earned dollars. Probably a good thing for me - not so much for them!

However, ever since the new owners took over, the service here has been shocking. Specifically from the female pharmacist. She is often rude, impatient and lacks any sense of compassion when serving customers who have come there for her "expert" advice. The rest of the staff are lovely people and most were there with the original owners. By all means, go there for general items but if you need anything pharmaceutical, you will receive better service from National Pharmacies up the road. The staff at Nationals actually want to help you!
