They got to know us as a couple, got to know our vibe, and then created a tailored design plan that truly incorporated every element we wanted and some that we didn't even know were possible! They stayed within our budget and did not pressure us to spend more. We were able to rent all of our needed items from them and used them for signage. We also paid for the set-up and tear-down services so felt incredibly stress free with the design of the wedding day. The floral was wrapped up in the design process and was also effortless. They gave us a full plan of which florals would be used for our bouquets and arrangements. On the day-of the flowers were beautiful and just as described. The day-of coordination was icing on the cake. Our coordinator, Kelli, was present for all of our design/planning meetings so it felt like she knew our wedding when planning the schedule. She was available to talk through all the details of our schedule and very communicative leading up to the wedding. My partner and I planned the wedding from out of state, and therefore assigned a lot of responsibility to UE to manage not only their own design elements (incl. ceremony & reception decor, lighting, floral, linens, and numerous rentals) but also to oversee the "day-of" operations of eight other vendors. Throughout the planning process, Travis Newell's communication with us was prompt, clear, and courteous. He went above and beyond to ensure that the details we discussed were accounted for in revised event proposals and came prepared with questions and ideas to all of our conversations. We completely forgot and our venue was all exposed wood grain walls, it looked fine, but could have been avoided on our part. Once the meal and toasts were over they began playing music again, but I believe they were getting paid by the number of songs they started. We had requested a playlist heavy on country music with the addition of classic rock, even specifying artists. Ninety percent of the music played was generic wedding reception dance club music. These songs mixed in with what was requested would have been fine but none of the requested list was played. When it came time to pay, the son who had been the DJ, said they could take a credit card. When his father showed up, he said it had to be cash or check. At no time had we been told this previously and were not prepared to pay this way. We apologized and said we could meet him with cash the following morning and he got quite belligerent and said the contract stated we were to have paid it a week before but in none of our recent correspondence had he reminded me of this and I admitted that I had forgotten that was required but that I had actually asked prior to the wedding if he needed anything from me. He did not reply as communication seemed to be an issue with him. Also, if that was in the contract and he hadn't received final payment (all he did was ask if we were still on) why would they have even shown up? A family member offered to chip in the $100 cash we were short but the owner said he couldn't provide a receipt and we weren't about to give him cash with no proof we had done so. As it turned out, the family member wrote a check and we paid him back the next morning. Every other vendor we used, for services costing way more than this, either sent us a final invoice prior to the event or even after the service was provided. I guess my biggest issue was the unprofessional, intimidating way he came at me. I cannot recommend Mixx Master at all given their inability to reply to texts and email and their lack of customer service.

At least three times I had to re-send my emails to Kelley because of non-response - to which he's always reply "oh, I am sorry I thought I repliod". At one point I tried to call him due to non-response via email - his voicemail was full, so left with no other options I sent him a text- three days later I still had not heard from him. He posted a status update on facebook so I commented on it to please call me. Funny how he immediately called me within 30 seconds of posting that once the public could see it. I had two phone conversations and multiple email conversations about our first dance song - a simple "skip" forward to a second song after one minute and 20 seconds into the first one. A grade schooler could perform this on their iPod - I even OFFERED him my iPod with the "playlist" already set up for the first dance - he said no, it won't be a problem. Wedding day our first dance and we never heard the second song - my husband and I kept dancing waiting for the second song to play and it never did. I informed Kelley of this the day he came to pick up his equipment at our place (we were nice enough to allow them to pick it up Monday instead of having them pick it up Sunday)...to which he responded with absolutely no concern or remorse "Oh really, sorry". Then didn't miss a beat and went on about picking up his equipment. He already had his money so it obviously wasn't a care of concern of his. I expected more for spending almost $1000 on this Dj and the fact that his mother is good friends with my friend and photographer (and how I even heard of him in the first place). Twisted Mics may of been customer service oriented at one time but they are not now and it was a complete waste of money. I'll never get my first dance back that I planned painstakingly for months.

Just play the song my daughter is paying u to play!! The DJ (Darrius) had his own agenda all night long, hit on some of the women there (NOT COOL) and refused to even play the last song she wanted. "I always play this song last" he said. DO NOT hire this company unless u want to be extremely disappointed. You are paying them to play what u have requested, not what they want. Out of the 25 must play songs he played maybe 10 and he played for 7 hours!! My daughter was a little drunk and she couldn't get through to him but after all is said and done, she's upset. We would have been better off and saved a lot of money by just bringing our own sound system and an IPod.
