So we show up and there are menus with prices on the table. We ask if we need to purchase food and drinks and they say yes. Ok, fair enough- it was too good to be true, although the event page was not very clear about this. Then I ask if we need to go to the bar and order or if we'll have a server. One person said we would have a server and then the server told us we had to order at the bar. I placed an order at the bar for chips and guacamole, quesadillas and avocado toast. And the avocado toast never came. The few servers they had were running around trying to get enough tables and chairs in place because there weren't enough already set out for the number of tickets they sold. You know how many tickets you sold, how did you not know how many chairs you were going to need?? Then the drag show finally started 40 minutes in and she spoke mainly in Spanish. You're hosting an event where you encourage people of all races to attend and the entertainment doesn't even speak the language of the majority of the guests in attendance? Way to alienate more than half the people in the room. And the entertainment overall was just boring for a drag show. They didn't engage the crowd and barely did anything that could be considered worthy of the $15 each we paid strictly for the "entertainment." Overall this was a really poorly executed event. I know it was their first event but It's not that hard to organize a simple event like this with some minor forethought and planning, which clearly no one here did. Definitely won't be back. Head to the main part of Bishop Arts instead where you can find real good food and actual value for your hard earned money.

Now you can imagine that this really put pressure on me to switch gears to plan something at the last minute. NOT GOOD!!! Well that isn't the worst part!!! The lady working there never greeted us, never asked us if she could help with anything. Another older looking couple came in, and she immediately asked what kind of items they were looking for...and was extremely friendly. This was very unsettling to me. When they left, she yelled out "Thank you for coming in...have a great weekend!" As we were walking around and chatting about different pieces, my fiance saw her roll her eyes at us. I found a fantastic retro chair that didn't have a price on it. She was at her desk and I went up and asked how much it was. She never stood up to see what I was asking about...she just had me describe it. She quoted me a price. I then mentioned that I saw some fabric swatches on a shelf and asked if she had anyone who did reupholstering...and she said "no those are just mine". As we left...no thank you, nothing. She obviously thought we were too young, and too broke to afford anything in that store. It was all I could do to keep from walking back in there to tell that woman that I had enough money in the bank to buy anything I wanted in that store...but will never return for any reason. Worst service I have ever received. It was insulting.
