Worse shellac!!! First of all the lady was eating right next to me while I picked my color, her chewing was super loud and I could even smell her breath . The shellac was horrible, I can see bubbles and they just look bad! I didn't get any kind of manicure. I also got my eye brows waxed... she dropped waxed all over my face (which she apologized) I'm not picky at all, accidents happen, but come on, if you are dealing with wax, I except people to be more careful. The older lady was rough and she kept forgetting what step she was on... as in what polish to do next. I kept reminding her. My color looks horrible. Like I did it myself at home. I paid & left. Bad manicure, manicurist was very laid back, acted like he didn't want to do my nails.

I came out to try out this place and it is absolutely horrible. I got cut 3 times by the guy doing my nails and was super rough. I'm not satisfied with my nails, and they aren't smooth. They are blotchy from the nail polish and I had the guy try and fix it the first time and it didn't do anything. read more

I went into this salon as a walk in, and was seen by Linda, who seemed more interested in texting than doing my nails. She kept pushing for me to get the shellac manicure. I politely told her I wasn't interested. It took her about 20 minutes, to do my nails. She barely filed or shaped my nails. She didn't use a base coat on my nails, and the top coat she used was so thick, that when I sat under the hand dryer, it started to smear. I kindly asked her if she could fix my nail (that was smeared). She used her finger, (and did an even worse job) to "fix" the smeared polish. I was so heated, I just walked out. If I could give her NO STARS, that would be a more fitting description of the lack of a job she did do. Do NOT have Linda do your nails.....terrible job and attitude. read more

I was visiting a friend and we decided to go get our nails done. I have very short nails due to biting them. I wanted the S&S powder where they dip your nail. Mindy starts getting the tips out and was about to start putting them on when I told her I didn't want tips. She then told me she couldn't do my nails because they were too short. I have never had someone tell me they couldn't do my nails. I proceeded to tell her that if she wasn't going to do them that I would go somewhere else. Me and my daughter went in to get a full set and a shellac manicure I waited for about 20 to 30 minuets no one knowledge that I was their someone even cut in front of me I kept my cool till finally It was my turn I previously had shellac on my nails and repeatedly told the lady not to cut my real nails, well she did anyway she told the lady beside her that those where not my real nails, y would I lie and she also told me the color I was wanting to get was ugly, after she cut my REAL nails I was done go up and walked out where she then grabbed my arm and was pulling back to her chair VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Very helpful staff helped me pick one of their many pedicures. I choose the signature($40).Everything is very clean. Large TVs and many Magazines to occupy your time while in the pedicure chair. Massage chair did have a buttock massage that was strange and i struggled to turn off, but with some help from the staff we figured it out. Be careful when picking your pedi because some have citrus fruit being rubbed on your legs so don't get those if you have any cuts! A Wonderful pedi/leg massage was given to me by Rose. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I have NEVER been treated so terribly by the staff at a salon. My philosophy is to review the 5-star businesses to help them out, and ignore the other. But after two HORRIBLE experiences at Star Nails I felt the need to warn others. When I went in Monday for a fill on my stiletto nails I was deferred to Kim because she "knew how to make the shape better." At first I believed Kim to just have a very dry personality... no worries there, to each her own. But after the 3rd or 4th eye roll I realized Kim just had a bad attitude. She kept telling me it was a bad idea not to get the shellac even after I explained that I preferred normal polish, she rolled her eyes and scoffed the entire time she was doing the fill, she made 4 of my fingers bleed, she could not be bothered to paint them nicely, and when I asked for a design on one finger she proceeded to rush through putting the GOLD squares on (I asked for little diamonds or something silver), they were crooked and the top coat turned them a tarnished red color. When I went back in today because I simply could not handle the bad design, I asked for them to be painted with a simple silver polish. Two of the women who work at the salon rolled their eyes, one man said that I could have changed the color myself if I did not like it, and Kim was clearly very annoyed that I had the nerve to paint them a different color than the rest of my nails. The only saving grace to this place is the receptionist. She was sweet and helpful and if I ever were to go here again, which I will not, it would be because I would like this lovely woman to have a job. read more

About a month ago, my girlfriend and I went to get pedicures at this mistake of a salon. The packages here are based on how much time your pedicure will take. i.e. 20 minutes for $20, 40 minutes for $40, and so on... I had had a hard week at work, and my dogs were barking, so I decided to get us both the $40 package. A few minutes later, our feet are soaking and the stress is melting away. Two middle-aged Asian women come out and begin to work on our feet, scrubbing, buffing, clipping, etc... until they get to trimming our cuticles. Somehow, on both of our right big toes, they bit way too deep with the clippers, and made us bleed. (thankfully, I got the worse of the two) There is no apology, in spite of the obvious torrents of blood gushing from my toe. This is problem #1. About 10 minutes in, another Asian woman comes up to us with a clipboard and tells us "Just sign". This clipboard has a chart on it with information about them cleaning the foot tubs. The only problem is this: she is telling us to sign next to a time that says 2:30, we never saw them clean the tubs, and it's actually 4:30. Obviously, this is problem #2. What the heck is going on? I'm an idiot, so I sign it anyway. 20 minutes in, and both the tubs are dumped. My girlfriend's lady begins painting her toes. They ask me if I want nail polish. "No, thanks. I'm a guy...?" She then asks if I want a manicure. "Does that cost extra?" She pretends she doesn't know what I'm saying. Problem #3. "I guess that's a yes. No, thanks." Then my lady leaves. I have 20 minutes left on the clock, but think nothing of it. Once my girlfriend's toes are done, we go to check out. Low and behold, I owe $80. I immediately protest: "She cut my time off at 20 minutes. That means mine should be $20, right?" The receptionist then explains in a matter-of-fact manner, that the package is divided between the time necessary to do the soak and treatment, and the nail polish. She looks me right in the face as if I'm an idiot and says "They offered you nail polish. You didn't want it?" I told her no, and that it should have been obvious I didn't want any. "How many guys actually come in here and get their nails painted?" She doesn't answer me, but instead repeats herself about the nail polish. Clearly, she's had this complaint before. I say to her: "My pedicure cost the lady 20 minutes of work. I feel it should only cost me $20 of the money that I worked for. Anything else would be blatantly false advertising, and morally reprehensible. Are you really going to charge me $40 for 20 minutes?" This pile of excrement then tells me that I could talk to the manager, but the manager wasn't here at the moment. This line was well-practiced, and there was a certain happy glint in her eye. I then tell her that, if the problem can't be solved, we will not be back in the future. She says that's just fine with her. "That'll be $80. Cash, or credit?" Problem #4.
