When we received our first set of photos for our cabin that was to be posted on Airbnb, they were not exactly what we were expecting. After initial conversation about redoing some of the photos, we were fearful that our concerns were not being heard. Then Kaitlyn, the main photographer and editor, went above and beyond to deliver us a product that met our needs. Smoke n Lenses photography is superb both in style and composition. Kaitlyn explained that she was initially trained in real estate photography and after discussing our needs for Airbnb photography, she was able to flawlessly capture the space in a way that guests would be able to envision themselves staying their for the holidays with their family. This was not easy. Our cabin has ALOT of wood, more than a normal cabin. Getting the right lighting, both in pre and post production is difficult. I was amazed at her superb skill to do so. Kaitlyn and Garett are budding Airbnb photographers with lots of talent and over half a decade of professional photography experience. They care deeply for their business and service to their customers. Being a business owner is tough but rewarding work. It can be very difficult at times due to verbose jerks, like me, who write critical reviews. Thought having 2 photographers was a positive, but it ended up that they never told people which of them was taking the photos, so you ahve a group of people looking in 2 different directions for the photo. Told them ahead of time (and showed examples) of the types of shot that we wanted and got perhaps 2 out of 10. Halfway into the reception, my new son-in-law asked me if I would just ask them to leave because they were bickering and bothering people to "pose" for photos and folks were getting annoyed. We would've been better off just handing disposable cameras to guests to take photos. Bad, bad experience.

Due to COVID that wasn't going to happen, at least not in Columbus, OH. We decided to marry in Gatlinburg, TN...great choice, we eloped and will have a ceremony for friends and family next year. Highlights: The chapel was beautiful but we chose to get married outdoors in the gazebo. The gazebo was gorgeous, with a little creek right behind it. What a beautiful place to get married. The Pastor was really kind, he paid attention to us, made us feel at ease, and was just wonderful. He wasn't overbearing, and was actually a fun guy. A week before the wedding a mandate for face masks came down, and it all worked. We had the wedding outside, he kept his mask on, just lovely! I ordered the bouquet and the one provided for me was beautiful, I will treasure it forever. It even had our colors, all of them! The pictures that we received were so good we ordered an entire package. We loved every one of them! We even got a little wedding cake, shaped like a heart and it was so good we ate it all! Referencing her size in a very rude manner was extremely embarrassing and unnecessary. My friend replied saying she was at this same location not too long ago and it fit just fine. The mood was off from there and he ended up snatching the dresses and telling us to leave and we happily walked away. He shut the doors and locked them! RUDE! I even left my umbrella and was forced to walk back to my car in the rain.
