I will never forget how we used them for a deposition, and the court reporter was so unprofessional. The reporter took center stage and wasted time, when it was a very difficult situation trying to get all the parties involved to agree to a time. This is a big city where there are a lot of court reporters out there, but with this company you must interview the court reporter, another factor you don't want to deal with, especially in this business.

We needed other professionals as well -- a new trust CPA, a property tax expert, and a hard money lender -- and he referred us to all of these nice quality people, who have been incredibly helpful. This made everything easier as we were, many times when necessary, on an email thread together, working symbiotically, which simplified everything. Having worked with attorneys as a court reporter for many years and also having hired a quirky attorney prior to Justin who handled previous matters, moving on and hiring Justin on a fairly complicated matter was a delight and actually resolved some issues that couldn't seem to get resolved with the previous attorney. I always felt confident that he had my back and that "he's got this." Along with being a very professional attorney, I really like him as a person. Today, the OWNER of "LA Reporters", told me herself, that I could NOT conduct my deposition AFTER I had scheduled it online, AND it had been confirmed AND I had served the deponents. Additionally, the LA Reporter website allows you to schedule a deposition on a Saturday, but LA Reporter does NOT offer deposition services on Saturday. No one called me to tell me, that when I showed up to my deposition, the office would have been closed. It was by CHANCE that when I called for something else, I found this out. When I spoke to the secretary on the phone, she apologized for the inconvenience and said she would obtain another date for me. "Ok, no problem"..."right"? Well, 5 days later, I still had not heard anything back from this secretary. I call the LA Reporter and end up speaking with the OWNER who apologizes for the secretary also not doing her job. So...the website does not function properly....the secretary does not function properly....BUT.... THEN the OWNER tells, ME the reason why they do not let IN PRO PER conduct depositions is because, "there were too many problems". Somehow, I find this highly ironic since no one at this company can do what they say they are going to do but they won't let IN PRO PER pay them money to conduct a justice driven act....and they "blame" it on problems....when these people are so confused on which end up...I am pretty sure they are the ones who are causing the "problems". The previous process serving company I used had already made four unsuccessful attempts. However, through an ingenious method I've never seen used before, Chris was able to quickly and smoothly complete the service on his very first attempt. He then promptly sent over the completed proofs of service along with video confirmation. I was also incredibly happy with Chris's rates. If this is your first time suing someone, you might initially feel like a professional process server charges a lot for what seems like simply handing over papers, but trust me, his fees are more than reasonable. Unlike most other servers who either charge per attempt or cap their attempts per fee, Chris guarantees unlimited attempts and, if needed, unlimited stakeout time. This virtually ensures a successful delivery unless the person decides to never leave their house again. Knowing Chris offers unlimited attempts gave me total peace of mind that I wasn't going to continuously burn money on failed tries, and I can't recommend him enough if you're dealing with an evasive defendant. Finally, Chris is just an all-around friendly and genuine person. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations; he spent a considerable amount of time answering my questions about his methods and even shared some incredibly helpful tips for the next steps in my case. So now fast forward to today, where I have won my case, but the cheap landlord won't pay me, and once again I felt lost, basically, now what am I gonna do?
