And Galveston is hardly Bermuda. Get my drift? If you're a theater person, you owe it to yourself to get in on the shows here. Not a bad seat in the house. And it's truly an intimate and fun experience.

They may not charge a lot for tickets but be prepared to be amazed at the outstanding talent!…read more It's a small theater set off of NASA Road One that truthfully I never knew was there until a friend was in their production of "Legally Blonde The Musical"; it's super easy to find, but the parking is a little funky as the lot's lines are almost non-existent. It's not real big and it's not real fancy, but who cares? The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room between seats so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of one another like in a movie theater. The sound system and lighting is fantastic! We have some seriously talented people in the Clear Lake area and they all congregate here! They do have a small concession area with drinks and snacks; my bottle of water was $1.00. You can't beat that! They also have BYOB with a teeny $3.00 corkage fee that includes two glasses. They do a lot with a little; the sets aren't super elaborate but they work hard at making them believable and part of the show. Plus, it's okay to use your imagination; you don't have to have everything spelled out for you with CGI. The bathroom is behind a curtain house right, so if you sit house left you will have to cross in front of the stage if you need to use it during the show. Not a huge thing, just be aware. The show was sold out today, and it was delayed a few minutes since they were trying to find seats for the waiting list people. It was fine though, as everyone was in a good mood and ready to enjoy. Buy your tickets online though to make sure you get the seat you want, and get there fairly early. The show today started at 2:30 pm; I got there around 2:00 pm and got a good seat. I can't say enough great things about this place and the people. This is a real hidden gem in this area and if you haven't checked it out you have been missing out! Why travel into Houston when we have such fantastic talent right here in Clear Lake?! Stay local and enjoy all that Clear Creek Community Theater offers!

This year I let the Staff know, but not certain it sunk in due to the "show must go on". We were there the last weekend in April to see our Granddaughter in the leading role and Grandson in multiple roles of a Musical which was wonderful. Harbour Playhouse is such a intimate venue. I only wish I could find some to write a grant for the Playhouse to expand or remodel, and also be able to afford wireless microphones or better sound systems. It has been a joy watching the littlest cast member now 7 or 8 grow thru the years and all of the other regular actors too. The Director is amazing with the actors and even has a young boy who has Autism and a little girl who has Down Syndrome in the cast, I think I saw this year, in the Musical. Hard to see when you are videoing the entire Musical. Please get this permanently closed status updated.. It may have been Black Out season when people tried to go as many theaters have Black Outs too where they take a break, but we will be there come the Fall for the next play or musical.. Anybody with grant writing skills and have a heart for the Arts, this could be your time to shine and find funding for a worthy cause that would be so appreciated, I am absolutely certain..

They…read morearen't a professional group and sometimes it shows, but their shows are adorable and the acting is fun and full of joy and passion and effort. My daughter auditioned for a part and got it and she had an absolute blast in the production and hopes to go back. I've gone to two different productions and they are so such fun! They do their best to make you feel welcome and take care of you. They have snacks in the lobby, some free and some for a small fee that helps promote the playhouse. They offer inexpensive wine and soda and bottled water during intermission and before the show. The theatre itself needs a little renovating. it's very outdated. As someone who writes reviews that focus on disability accommodation, I have to honestly say that this place needs some work on ADA compliance. I'm sure they are legal--that's not the issue--it's how comfortable it is. If you have a wheelchair, you have to sit in the first few rows, and every time I've come in, they've been full, because no one has put up signs that say they are companion seats for wheelchairs. One time, i had to sit in the aisle, which is a safety and fire hazard. The bathrooms are awkward for wheelchair bound people too. Several of the seats are broken and need to be replaced or repaired. the balcony is outdated and there is no accessible access to the balcony theatre. Short of the renevations that are clearly needed, the theatre itself is cute, has much potential, and the shows are reasonably priced for a fun and family friendly evening out.

She got lucky at the very end of the year to be in a group dance for DiD 1st Nationals @ Disneyland,CA. It turned into a trio and being able to dance with Caitlin & Nevaeh felt like she was walking on water. Madison really wanted to be in more group dances, but she was blessed to be in what she could for DiD. With her solo, Trio and be apart of photo shoot (Which was a blast to her). Our heart and soul will be forever with DiD. We love all the coaches. They are so amazing. We had the opportunity to watch Madelynn grow into a phenomenal successful talented woman, watch Stephanie dominate heartbreak into a scorching and thriving career with her blessed talents in beauty and in the art of dance. Madison has a bond with Stephanie that's unbreakable. We love the Redmond family so much. I'm so proud of Chas,Caitlin,Brennan and Zoe in all they do for DiD! They are a loving and spiritual family that I'm proud to be apart of. I will admit that I have no training in any culturally rich aspects of life (art, dance, music,…read moreetc.) but I know when I'm in the presence of excellence. The instructors and staff are a delight to be around. Ashley, Lauren, Nicole, and Quincy are not only hard working and organized people, but they genuinely care about the well being and advancement of my children's artistic drive. It is hard to find businesses that supersede the mundane grind of mediocrity. Businesses in today's world are apathetic or just performing at "good enough" levels. I'm proud to be a member of such an innovative and professional company. They are such a pleasant group to be around. Also their prices are excellent and fair. Looking forward to many more years at this establishment.

I saw an ad on Facebook and realized this location is very close to our home. I signed up my 5 year…read moreold son for a free tryout and we were immediately scheduled for a Saturday 11:15-12:15 time slot. I got an email and a voicemail, which was kinda nice because i hardly ever check my emails! We got there and the parking lot was packed. Turns out there's an event for the little ballerinas. My son, who is timid around girls, didn't quite like what he's seeing right off the bat. Fortunately, there's 2 entrances. One labeled DANCE and the other door labeled THEATER. We got in the THEATER door and there's one lady sitting at the small couch by the door. Nobody was on the front desk. We weren't very sure what to do so I checked the other entrance (DANCE) and it was packed with parents watching their kiddos from a glass partition. I went back to our room and just told my boys to just sit back and wait for his turn. It was a comfortable and clean waiting area. I can see that it's fairly new (?). Or maybe the paint is new. They decorated the lounge with Christmas decor. While we waited, we can hear another child and an older lady practicing behind the door to the performance area. At around 11:10, a little girl and the lady instructor came out of the doors and the lady waiting outside is the girl's mom. Turns out they're also trying out that day. My son is so shy when the lady approached him. But I kinda shoved him in the door to the theater and quickly closed the doors behind him. I was waiting for screams and crying but surprisingly, he just tagged along her. So, my hubby and older son and I waited outside the door listening intently to their lines. My older son peeled under the door so he's been giving us a preview of what's going on inside. This shy little boy, my oh my, surprised us with his willingness to cooperate. We can hear him bounce around and sing and say the lines with the teacher. We were really impressed! The only thing that we thought was quite disruptive was the group of little girl ballerinas that came in the theater and that I think pretty much threw my kiddo off. Considering the fact that he's not comfortable around other girls. So, the instructor had to move him to a different room where they played with the piano. And then, when the little girls were done rehearsing, the teacher moved him back to the theater again while another guy was doing some maintenance work in there. He pretty much lost his momentum with all the distraction. He came out around 12 so he didn't really finish the extra 15 mins (despite all the disruptions). The lady said he did great overall. As we walked him out, we asked how he liked it. He said he didn't like it. and it's probably because of all ballerinas that walked in and the other distractions. Or he could've just been psyching us as he usually says the opposite. The prices are reasonable so maybe in the spring I just might push him in the door for a second try at theater. He just might LIKE it!
