Starbucks is one of those businesses you can find all over town and usually seem to be very similar in design and service. While I used to stop by this location on occasion, once I started working close by my visits became much more frequent. I have never had a bad experience at this location and whether I go in or through the drive through its always a quick stop. I do sometimes sneak away from the office to curl up in the corner and get some work done uninterrupted. Even with others doing the same the atmosphere is relaxing and not loud. It's also a great place to meet up with someone for a meeting or casual catch up. Plus free wifi! The staff has always been very helpful and friendly, especially Vanessa. It's always a pleasant interaction with all the baristas. They also have products especially around the holidays that are great for a quick gift idea! I often stop in to pick up a cute practical gift for clients. Did I mention I don't even drink coffee!! LoL I'm a huge fan of their tea offerings and could take a soy chai lattee any day! read more

This Bloomington Starbucks has plenty of parking spots plus overflow parking in rear. This particular location appeared super clean with great outdoor seating options. The employees at this location were very friendly, helpful and always smiling on my 4 day trip, typically going twice per day. Downgraded. This location is understaffed, poorly trained, sets expectations and doesn't meet them, and IMHO, are a disgrace to their brand. The biggest problem: they get totally slammed very easily. They mean well, set expectations, but aren't good at meeting them, aren't well-cross-trained, have little sense of urgency, and don't help each other. I feel sorry for the barrista I had today. Assembling Travelers (simple jugs of coffee) was difficult for her for any number of reasons. Was management there to back her up? Nope. South side Starbucks is typically my go to location, because I live close. I usually have a decent experience here, my drinks are always made correctly and the staff is attentive and kind. However, I have horrible food experiences here. Today I ordered their new steak breakfast wrap and received it burnt, torn open and entirely soggy. Inedible. This isn't the first time my food has been gross. Disappointed. I'm glad I ignored the other reviewers and came here. This is by far my favorite Starbucks yet (OK- it's hard to beat Amsterdam's Starbucks, but definitely the best ever in Indiana!) The service was fast and friendly, drink was prepared perfectly and no one made me feel bad about saying skim milk instead of non-fat, but more than anything I LOVE the covered porch and outdoor lounge! Ugh, where to even begin. This Starbucks is a headache. First and foremost buckle up for at least a 20min wait. My wait time at the drive thru here is a running joke among my friends. Frequently they're either entirely closed, or closed early, usually without notice or updated hours on apps. Here's the straw the broke the metaphorical camel's back and led me here today. I ordered a drink for in store pickup, to avoid the previously mentioned horrendous wait time. Of course they closed their lobby during this hour, unexpectedly, and didn't update any apps, which still then allowed me to "pickup in store". I had to call and refund my order as I didn't have 20min to spare waiting in the drive thru--what I originally planned to avoid. Just don't waste your time. Go to a different location. read more

I'm comparing this Starbucks location to other Midwestern Starbucks locations. I live nearby and stop a couple times a week. The service is consistently excellent. There is particularly one person, usually working the drive through, that is especially professional and courteous. On the weekends I get cappuccinos with a shot of flavor for more froth and less sweetness and they make it perfectly. I mention this because many times I've gone to other Starbucks they don't. Locally, hopscotch and rainbow have awesome coffee. But I'm comparing this to other Starbucks. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks in town! It's not as crowded as the other Starbucks near campus, and they have a lot of high school students coming in since it's right next to the high school. I drop by here in the mornings before going to work and occasionally in the evenings to meet a friend. The staff in the morning are so friendly, recognize frequent customers and any food or drinks that I order come out so quickly. I'm always late in the mornings (woops) so that is really important. There is a ton of outdoor seating. In the evening it is very chill, with a steady steam of people but plenty of seating inside so you don't feel overcrowded. read more
