July 2, 2026 we walked inside to buy ice coffee and sit down and there were NO CHAIRS or TABLES only the counter to order your drinks. WHAT THE heck is going on with Starbucks! This is the 2nd Starbucks location that the tables were missing. The other one was in CT. It is disgraceful that the company expects their customers not to enjoy the experience of sitting down and enjoying their coffee. All they want is for you to spend your money and walk out the door with your order and WHAT SIT IN YOUR CAR or the BLAZING HEAT at one of their tables they set up outside. They expect you to PAY & GO! I AM DONE with Starbucks, and taking my hard earned money to Dunken Donuts where I can sit down and enjoy my coffee. This Starbucks was painfully slow, took a solid 15 minutes to make a cup of tea. The way they complete orders is inefficient. The order was started by the cashier, then completed by a barista. Employees were in and out of the back room, speaking to each other while my tea waited to be completed. I could feel my inner Karen swelling and wanting to explode. read more

I come to this particular Starbucks on location, since it is conveniently located next to Route 9A. I love that it is convenient for me to drive by, however, the line here moves slower compared to other locations that I visit. There also is no drive-thru window at this location, which I do not mind, because I like smelling the aroma of coffee as soon as I walk in the door. Another con about this location is that sometimes, they run out of the drink that I actually want. This morning they were out of Pumpkin Spice Latte. Since I could not order the Pumpkin Spice Latte, I opted for the Chai Tea Latte. The drink itself was pretty good and I liked the spices that came through on the drink. Conveniently located in a shopping center, this is a rather small Starbucks. I stopped in here primarily to use the restroom...but I always have to buy coffee when I do so. It's just the way I roll. So the coffee was fine...just got a tall blonde. I almost ordered it as a "hot tall blonde" but that would have been weird. Thankfully I caught myself before I did so...but I bet they hear that frequently. The loss of stars is for the semi-clean restroom and the limited space for milk/cream/sugar...etc. There's only one area for sweetners and such. So, if someone has the need for complicated additions (ie: the cinnamon plus vanilla powder with a splash of half and half....oh wait...cocoa powder...maybe I should put in some regular milk as well....and some sugar...I'll stir it now...sluuuurrppp...no.....no.....not yet...needs more something or other...more cream.....stir....stir....slurp....). You get the picture. I was behind a couple of high maintenance folks and all I wanted was a splash of milk in my coffee. They need another area...maybe a secondary small counter for those of us that can get our beverages done in mere seconds? Not an issue if you drink your drip black sans sugar. Fist bump to you. The young women proceeded to make my drink in her own sweet time as I held onto the counter trying not pass out. No common sense, just plain idiocy. Went for coffee, before my shift at the ER started this morning, had two people in front of me, and three people behind me. Ordered a croissant and venti peppermint coffee. The people working behind the counter looked miserable, and looked like they didn't want to be there. I waited for my coffee patiently, and noticed that the three people behind me got their orders and left. So i was standing there trying to get someone's attention 'cause they were completely ignoring me, when this girl in a pink hair begrudgingly asked me what my order was, and picked up a cup that was just left on the side, handed it to me and turned her back without apologizing. Safe to say, I'm never coming back here. But if I see any of these people in my ER, I will not treat them the same way. Starbucks Briarcliff People, kindness goes a long way. read more

I want to point out that the staff here still deserve a high rating, but this review is based on the experience of going to this location, and from what I'm able to cobble together from other people, what I'm about to discuss here is true of Starbucks in general now. The environment gives off an unquestionable impression that you're supposed to get out of there right away. I make my own coffee at home and it's great. I come to Starbucks to meet up with friends and socialize over some coffee and treats. First, the comfortable seating they used to have disappeared. Then, they reduced the number of available tables. And on my most recent visit, they're playing the music at such a high volume that I came home with a sore throat from having to raise my voice to be heard by my friend. If the reasoning from Starbucks is that they want us to buy stuff and leave right away, then I suppose that it's a message that I've received. From now on, I'll have to find someplace else to meet my friends; somewhere with a more hospitable setting. read more

Went in midday on our way up to Mt. Beacon. The Starbucks was clean, staff was super friendly and I got my drink no sooner than I had placed it. I liked the layout with the bar stools but it looks like if it was busy in there it would be annoying to sit there. My drink came out great (it was a pumpkin spice latte how could it not?) and gave me the energy I needed to literally climb a mountain. The staff was conversational and cordial. I don't live in Briarcliff but it's truly an amazing place to be, I always go to this Starbucks. Although I don't understand how to 'Order on the Starbucks App' because I'm not well with these apps haha, when I go to the Starbucks the service is very fast, I love my chai latte. I never go for the 'extreme' drinks, but by far the best tea beverage I've ever had. Workers were great. Complimented my outfit and even my name, it made my day as bright as the sun. Very clean and super busy which is good in the business sense. The young staff are nice and very pleasant always with a smile. There is this one older lady that stays at the cashier, she needs to either quit or work somewhere in the back because she is not friendly and does not make us welcomed in the place at all. It's a popular store, so seating is tight sometimes. But I've never felt unwelcome. Jeff and the rest of the crew work hard to make you feel at home. If you're a regular customer, they'll go out of their way to learn your name and drink, and find out what's going on in your life. If they make a mistake, they're always happy to fix it. Or, you can ask for the unflavored coconut milk with a mere 8 grams of sugar. Still yuck. I signed up specifically to review this Starbucks. Working in the service industry for much of my adult life, I may be over-sensative to customer service issues, but this one is so egregious it called me to action. I go into this Starbucks maybe once a week, and it's always slow. I only order a simple cup of coffee. My order gets queued as it should, and the girl who took my order returns to the sink to talk to her friend and act like she's cleaning. I'm still at the end of a 4 person line with a genuinely productive barista making complicated drinks for the people in front of me. Not ideal, but I can wait. Now, some lady comes in, and the order-taker springs to action, taking the lady's order and then preparing for her the same regular cup of coffee that I had ordered (and am still waiting on line for). When I ask what's up, I am met with an attitude and a big production, "oh well I guess you just get to go to the front of the line then huh" and she pours me a cup of watered down coffee, sarcastic B.S. and all. I used to come here everyday and got great service. I haven't been here in over a year, and I probably will not be eager to return. The service was extremely poor.
