A friend recommended I visit First Village Coffee she explained they worked in partnership with local nonprofits. When I walked through the door the environment was cozy: local art and other goods were available for purchase, the baristas were friendly and shared their recommendations generously. I tried the Arnold Palmer which was a little bitter though I liked the real tea taste mixed with the lemonade (they had a solid selection of summer/seasonal drinks). I didn't stay for long but noticed they had a mix of indoor and outdoor seating options. They are located on Mainstreet - so the location is walkable but there are also street parking and municipal options available. A great spot! read more

Their pistachio-raspberry cinnamon roll and dirty chai latte and house-made syrups are so good, all five stars! But their pumpkin latte scone and empanadas were more four, and the activist-vibe is a little much, though I love the outdoor and back-room seating. Wouldn't come back but glad to try it. read more

First Village Coffee was a very nice visit. The shop has cool wall art, a quick/ artistic/hard working staff, and a much appreciated and well lit rear sitting area, which is where we sat. Even the restroom has cool wall art. The owner of the shop was dressed in a colorful and fancy hat. He had a great disposition and helped create many beverages...with a smile. If you're looking for more than coffee, you'll find muffins, sweets, and even oatmeal. Their coffee was amazing and were served in impressive mugs. The rear sitting area was relaxing and had large tables. I recommend this very busy coffee shop and enjoy your beverage and/or sweets. read more

Wanted some coffee on our way to a birthday party. Saw the great reviews for First Village Coffee and decided to give it a shot. Got over my initial disappointment that they don't make pour over coffee anymore. Seems like less and less places do that at this point. Family members enjoyed the cold brew and iced coffee. I enjoyed the drip coffee, tasted like high quality beans. Baked goods looked very good. Definitely looks like a nice place to hang out. Staff was pleasant and professional. Great coffee and incredibly friendly baristas! You can tell they love what they do and take great pride in it. Many regulars and a bustling front section, esp at peak morning times. I got a cortado, which came with cute latte art and a seltzer on the side. Ham and cheese croissant was so fresh, HUGE and amazing quality--easily one of the best I've had in the area. Back room is airy, quiet and peaceful. A great place to meet up with a friend or have some quiet time for yourself. They do not have WiFi, so this is not a cafe that feels like a bunch of people setting up a mini-office for the day. A place to truly enjoy good coffee and some small bites. read more

I went here after a hike at Teatown Lake preserve. It's pretty close about a 10min drive. It's a cute small place with outdoor seating. Ordered the peach scone. Yummy. Not too sweet but definitely filling. Also ordered ice latte - perfect! The girls behind the counter were helpful and friendly. They recommended the scone. There were 2 other choices. Finally got a chance to get to this fine establishment. So happy I made it to this chic cool fun coffee house. Everyone is so pleasant and happy to work. Great seating area in rear of store Ordered a bunch of different things to eat there and bring home One thing better then the next. Had to try there croissant omg it was soooo crusty light and perfect. One best I ever had Also tried the mushroom cheese quiche wow so fresh and light. Blue berry muffin so moist inside and crusty outside perfect. Thank God this place isn't close to home I may end up 600 pounds. What a hidden gem. What a great little place! Excellent quality coffee which is a must that isn't always delivered. Well, First Village pulls it off. Exceptionally well. The food is also yummy. I got a pumpkin cranberry muffin. It was moist and had an excellent flavor. Crisp crumb on top. Moist cake underneath. The service was excellent. Friendly and efficient. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The decor and ambiance are inviting with a cool vibe. Relaxed and unpretentious. Really nice plants. Having just relocated to the area, First Village Coffee is the community hub I have been seeking. Often walking into a coffee shop for the first time can feel daunting, but I received a genuinely warm welcome (and farewell) from multiple staff members, which immediately made we feel like staying for a while. I noticed how the owner engaged with regulars and newcomers with equal interest and regard, which was a pleasant change from places that choose not to focus on building relationships with their clientele. The cro-muffin was delicious, soft in the middle with a crunch from the crystallized sugar on the outside, and my rose-cardamom latte was hand-delivered with care. Sept 2022, this place has great coffee and scones. When you walk into the place they are playing music off of vinyl records which is nice to see and hear, plus the staff are friendly. The back room is bright and airy with seating, not dull and dark. Also if you can sit outside on the tiny deck in the back that has only a few chairs. Honestly, I love coming here, better than going to a chain store like Starbucks, plus we should all support the local businesses in Ossining. read more

One thing that should be advertised clearly and shouted from the rooftops is that they do not offer wi-fi. I mean I guess the aesthetic they're going for is communal, etc but it definitely doesn't promote one sitting quietly and getting work done. Small town staple. Stopped in on my way up north for a hike. The chai latte with almond milk was refreshing. They have a nice assortment of pastries/baked goods to choose from, both sweet and savory. I was killing time in Ossining waiting for a train back to the city and was in search for an espresso and stumbled upon First Village, which is right up the street from the station. First Village is a cozy little place where you can grab a coffee and curl up with a book or your laptop and unplug for a while. Really great vibe here. The staff was very friendly as well. I struck up a brief conversation with the barista that was making my drink. It was a nice touch on their part to make a little connection with their customers. I definitely recommend First Village for either a Saturday morning coffee or a quick grab and go on your way to the train into NYC. read more

Stopped in yesterday and was blown away by this adorable, beautiful spot. The owner Luis was incredibly friendly...asked my name, introduced me to his son who was working behind the counter. Told me to look around while he whipped up my delicious latte with vanilla and oat milk. I got it to-go but would love to sit down next time and enjoy my coffee in one of the gorgeous cup and saucer sets that the beverages are served in. The pastries looked great and bought a few to bring home...family consensus gave them a hearty thumbs up! I cannot wait to go back to for another visit. Fun coffee shop- sorta the only one in town but it's a good one!! The coffee is so good and they have nice seating arrangements. We brought our son in with his partner in crime and they had board games...yesssssss!!! Kept them busy with their hot chocolates and croissants while my hubby and I sipped our morning cups. We came in from the city to find a nice spot and a close by playground. The playground is by the train station which is straight down Main Street down a hill and over the train over pass...
