I am on the fence about this place. Friendliness and politeness seems to largely depend on the individual who is serving you, not a common requirement for serving paying customers. I have been treated very well here, and also treated with apathy/borderline rudeness on different occasions. I can't stand the inconsistency. As a rule, the dudes seem to be nicer than the chicks, but there are some nice female employees too, albeit scarce and sporadic. You never know what to expect. First world problems and all that, but it's no fun wondering if you'll be handled right this time, or if disappointment awaits you at the window. The management was terrible from 2013-2016 or so, so I avoided the place entirely after a series of bad experiences back then. Most of the workers were alright, but the manager was awful. Ugh. I have slowly been giving them another try, for the past year and a half. -The drinks are sometimes good, sometimes passable, and sometimes regrettable. I like peppermint hot chocolate. Sometimes you can taste the peppermint, sometimes you can't. I've requested an extra pump of peppermint at times, but it still tastes the same. Depending on the barista, when they hear the word "Peppermint", they automatically assume you want a Peppermint Mocha. No. No. No. No. I have been served the wrong drink more than once, necessitating that I park my car, go inside, and get it fixed. Why are they ALWAYS running out of something? At one point they were out of espresso. Another time, they were out of all refresher drinks. Also can't forget when they were out of Soy for weeks too. I love the location and the proximity of this Starbucks to my home, but what's the point in even going to this one when they never have anything in stock? On top of them selling nothing but water or pastries--haha--, the wait time at the drive-thru is the worst. This is a great Starbucks. They recently changed out the furniture and artwork. The new outdoor furniture is very comfy. This is the most convenient location to campus so I frequent here weekly. No matter how often I come the service is always awful. My drinks are never right, I receive hot instead of iced, regular milk instead of soy, no ice when I ask for light ice. It never fails. Not only are my drinks consistently wrong, the service is always slow. It took me 20 mins to get my wrong drink corrected and then get my food they forgot to microwave. Today was the last straw, however. When I stopped to order food for my long drive home from school they were out of everything even remotely healthy. So not only are the drinks wrong, now they are out of every item I eat on the menu. I will allot myself more time from here on out to make it to the coffee scene. This line is 95% of the time a extremely long wait and if they miss up for drink, like for example 3 times in last month I ordered a caramel frap with no whip and they give me a caramel crunch with whip, so they always fix it by taking off the whip by hand, pouring the messed up drink in a new cup and hand it back out the drive thru. Come on, ppl are not as stupid as your employees think they are. Many come here daily and spend lots of money at this location to wait in ridiculous lines just to get the wrong order with a rude way of repairing their own mistakes. I liked this Starbucks. I stopped in while passing through Fayetteville, and was totally pleased with the coffee shop. The staff I interacted with were friendly, fast, and attentive (and, they obliged my request for a grande tea with one bag on the side, such that I could use the second with a refill of water for a "free" refill later on). Being a standalone building, this Starbucks had a big, open, sunny patio for me to lunch on; and, once I'd gotten enough sun, I found the interior lounge to be as big and comfortable, with a nice, luxurious leather chair waiting for me. In the end, I had a fresh, reasonably priced hot tea while eating my lunch and reading a good book -- superb! I had no problems there, and would gladly return. I come here frequently and always go thru the drive thru. I've never had a negative experience and they always get my order right. Today I guess they were taking longer than they should and gave me my drink (Teavanna black tea mango lemonade) on the house. I wasn't even complaining about the wait time which was only like 10 minutes around lunch time which I thought is pretty common for a Starbucks. I think they've shown exemplary customer service all the times I've used the drive thru and today just proved it! Maybe I'll make it inside one day haha read more

It's always a hit or miss with my drink, but what gets me is the wait time is ridiculously long.

Every single time we have come to this location, they take forever whether taking my order or giving me my order (& it's not even busy -I once waited 15 minutes for a drink after I ordered & paid for it & just watched the baristas talk from the window), make my drinks wrong, way too sweet, & I get attitude. Once while waiting for my drink I heard the baristas complaining about a customer on drive thru that comes in all the time & they always have to fix his drink. Hello! If you're always having to fix it you're doing it wrong! Do it right the first time & stop bad mouthing customers in front of other customers because you're too lazy to do it right the first time. Btw right after they made his order wrong they made my order wrong twice. I love Starbucks especially coming here from Washington, but this store clearly misses the mark on the whole Starbucks quality & experience. read more

This is the location off of Ramsey st. I've been inside the store more than a few times to check it out, get coffee, and form an opinion. I've been to many Starbucks across the country, and this one is lacking. They're slow, even with a staff of at least 3-4 people on duty. I rarely get a cup sleeve with my hot coffee when other locations always do that. The girls behind the counter gossip about various things like their boyfriends, family, and whatever.... Are they hiring only teenagers? It's quiet because most people use the drive thru instead of sitting inside. The store seems clean enough. That's about all it has going for it. Customer service is extremely slow every time! I stood by waiting while the two associates carried on a personal conversation, before I received service. Was really excited that SB opened on this side of town, but I find that service is still the best on Fort Bragg and Skibo and find myself driving out of the way for great customer service, when Ramsey Street is literally 5 minutes from my house. No different from any other Starbuck's, and I've frequented many in various states and whatnot. The drive-thru can take quite a long time, but if I want to go in the morning before a class I generally just leave early and I'll be fine. Other than that, no issues, really! Stopped in tonight on the way home, and got a wonderful coffee, but experienced the most unprofessional service. The young gentleman at the register was to busy talking to a coworker about their tattoos and piercings that they wanted, that they could not even greet me as I came to the register, or even say you're welcome when he was told thank you, when he handed me the coffee I ordered . I don't like giving negative reviews, but if I was the owner of this Starbucks I would be mortified. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a Starbucks. The barista told me that there's no such thing as a salted caramel latte, that it can't be made without mocha, she corrected my pronunciation of "caramel", didn't say a single word to me at the window, and looked like she went to a rave last week and has not recovered or showered since. And her name tag was peeling puff paint, which isn't bad customer service but it is unprofessional. I didn't go inside... thankfully, because what I could see from the drive-thru window looked like it would have made me wonder if I needed to update my vaccines before entering. They can take a little while longer than you'd like to get your beverage. But they are always pretty steady, so the wait is understandable and worth it. The reason I rate this Starbucks a 3 is because this Starbucks stands out in my overall experiences of this coffee chain elsewhere. Typically, Starbucks anywhere provide a dependable coffee that is almost always good which is why I consistently choose my coffee from the chain. The internet is almost always dependable as well. However, this particular location has a terrible fly problem. I asked for a fly swatter (did not ask for them to get the flies themselves...just the swatter) and they could not help me. When I bring my work with me to Starbucks and purchase the products, I plan to stay a while. I depend on 3 things while I work - the internet, the atmosphere, and the coffee (in that order). But here I have to cover my coffee cup with napkins so the multiple flies don't dirty my expensive drink. I'm definitely not ordering food here. I have actually seen in another Starbucks an employee use a swatter to get rid of flies in their cafe. Not so here. read more
