On…read moreone hand I want to leave only a 1 or 2-star review, but on the other the staff was so friendly I hate leaving a negative review at all. They have a Drive-thru but this was confusing (blends with parking) because I didn't notice the sign, you need to notice the small pull-up window to recognize it as the drive through, the arrow pointing towards the Drive-thru is actually where you order (not ahead). It's a very small building, with a small taco shop inside as well. Because I couldn't figure out the drive thru, we went inside. Once inside it's also confusing of where to go. There isn't much of an area to go anywhere except for a small coffee area in front, and taco counter to the left. I'd suggest an "order here" sign for coffee. Biggest negative it that no one was wearing a mask, not even staff and it's impossible to social-distance in such a small space. I was just a visitor driving through, I had no idea what to expect. We were masked up, but our beverages were made by staff without a mask and less than 6' from us. The drive through is probably a better option for someone more cautious, however same situation. The barista was, however, very friendly. There isn't seating available inside, it is just a grab and go. And again, a bit confusing because the inside doesn't really look like a business. She said they were planning to expand into the taco shop area in a few months when the taco place relocated, possibly allowing for seating. My latte was okay - the roast a bit strong/bitter for my usual liking. But the Italian soda was amazing! And prices good.

The restaurant was a lot more kitschy than I was expecting, which I loved. Our waitress had a wonderful energy. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu had several unique items. I ordered a Scottish soda called IRN BRU. I love trying food and drinks from around the world. It tasted like an Orange Crush soda. Our waitress said they were known for their Cauliflower soup. It was cold outside so soup sounded perfect. I also got a pepper jack grilled cheese. The soup came in a huge bowl. The combo of the soup and grilled cheese was very filling. My friends ordered the sticky pudding. I had a bite and it was delicious. I cant believe it's taken me so long to eat here. I throughly enjoyed it and cant wait for my next road trip.

It's a few minutes off the highway, but certainly doesn't feel like you're in Gas City, IN. It looks like they added on an outdoor space recently. Nothing too extravagant, but nice enough for lunch. A nice younger man took care of us on the patio. The menu was quite eclectic and unique. The tortilla chips and cold bean dip was a great way to start. Both our soups were fantastic....cheddar cheese for one and leek soup the other. Fish and chips hit the spot and apparently a fan favorite. My wife had the club sandwich of GF bread. Great little local spot if you're ever in the area.
