I really like this Starbucks. I go there during the day and evening. What I don't like lately is how loud they play the music in the evening. I had friends complain about the loud music when we would go there. This evening I felt like I was at a Dance club with the type of music that is constantly being played lately with the volume up as well. I made a quick stop here en route to the North Cascades, and I was extremely impressed! This Starbucks resides in a large space within a strip mall. It has couches, armchairs, your regular tables and chairs, and clean restrooms. Service was prompt and helpful. They were out of the Caramel Crunch Frappuccino, but the cashier advised me to get the Caramel Frappuccino with extra sauce instead because it was "cheaper and basically the same thing." Okay, I'm not going to complain too much because I've been waiting for a drive-through Starbucks in Lake Stevens forever and I'm very happy its here. I've never run into a rude barista here. Its also the only drive through where I've had the experience of the car in front of me paying for my drink multiple times. One time it had been going on for the past 15 cars... everyone paying for the person behind them. I think that's kinda cool. The interior is pretty nice and I like hanging out here when I have the time. However, my one complaint is the usual speed of the drive through line which is so. freaking. slow. Slower than any other Starbucks I've been to and as my husband works for Starbucks we seek them out wherever we are (employee discount ya'll) and we've been going to Starbucks as long as they've been around. In other words, this ain't my first drive-through Starbucks rodeo. I've never seen a slower line. When coming here I have to give myself at least 20 minutes of lead time so I can make it to wherever I'm headed in time. Of course there are times it goes faster, but 5 minutes for me to get there from my house, then 10-15 minutes to get through the entire line seems about average for an average sized line. I'm not sure why. Am I only going at times when someone is ordering something complicated or 10 drinks? I don't know. All I know is that I usually regret getting in the line when I see those minutes ticking past. I'll still come here. And I'm still grateful. But I do hope they can figure out the wait time woes. read more

This was my first time being here since they built it and it looks amazing. Staff was friendly and drinks were made in a reasonable time given how crowded it was. However, because it's so busy, it tended to be very loud, making it hard to talk to someone who was right next to me. But overall I was satisfied. read more

The staff is really friendly and they make good coffee. Love the food there too. Would enjoy more seating for bigger groups so we can have a place to sit when we come in but that's the price of popularity :) One little criticism is that I've notice that they are 30-40% of the time not writing my name on my stuff. . .I kinda like when they write my name on it so I know it's mine and it is like a little hello note from the Barista :) For the most part, a great place to meet for coffee :) read more

Although everyone is super friendly and the inside is nice, the drive thru is sooooooo slow! One car or ten, you're still waiting there for at least 10 minutes. Not a great place to go when in a hurry. read more

It's not like I've never received a messed up order at a Starbucks before, but today was the first time ever that any Starbucks employee actually argued with me about my order and then proceeded to give me attitude in the form of snarky comments about THEIR mistakes. And every time I tried to tell them the correct drinks, they all just nodded their heads, when clearly, no one was listening. Well first it is a Starbucks, so you know what you are getting. In my case that is good, as I like their coffee. They also are consistent with their pastries and "Bistro Boxes" so there is always something there for me such as fruit and cheese, or breakfast sandwiches. My son loves the vanilla milk :) The staff is professional, efficient and still friendly. With the new drive through I can now even go there on my way out when I am in a hurry!! Let's just say I've had better coffee made at the Safeway location. I used to go through the drive thru in the mornings but because of the one lady I always seem to get has a horrible attitude. Recently remodeled, the decor is very nice, sophisticated and invites you to come hang out, however, slowest service around. I was super excited to finally have a drive thru Starbucks in Lake Stevens, but the service is unrealistically slow. Each car seems to take an extra long time, and when it is a rush of cars, you could be waiting behind 8-10 cars for 20 minutes or longer ( I have been stuck behind 3 cars, taking 15 minutes before). I have also walked inside during those rushes, and the baristas are in no hurry to get things done. Still great Starbucks coffee you expect, nice decor, need to step it up in the staffing department. read more

The store's interior is a perfect work space, large with comfortable tables and chairs for both social gatherings and working time. However, the employees are horribly unfriendly. The day I stopped in, the store was relatively empty. But the employees could barely be bothered to smile as is usually the custom with Starbucks employees. Abigail was extremely rude, looking me up and down and then barely spitting out, What do you want? When she served my drink, once again, I got the same snide look as she pushed my drink toward me on the counter. The girls behind the counter seemed more interested in talking to each other than the customers. Hello----I do believe customers are paying your paycheck! Unbelievable! In the future, I will visit some of the other locations nearby--in particular the Starbucks on Bickford Shopping area where the customer service is always outstanding. read more
