Update: second morning in a row my granola was mushy. Yesterday wasn't just a fluke. This is a terrible Starbucks. It's clean inside with ample parking. However, I placed a mobile order. When I walked in, there were no mobile orders in the place marked for them. So I sat and waited. And waited. Finally after about 10 minutes they asked if there was anyone waiting on a mobile order. They were all sitting on a shelf behind the counter. I asked why they were back there, out of sight and was told it was because they had so many and people walk away with the wrong orders. I've been in a lot of Starbucks. If the Starbucks in Times Square, the evening before New Year's Eve, can figure out how to put orders in sight, I think Lufkin Texas could. Then I got my yogurt parfait only to discover that 2/3 of the granola was wet and mushy. I asked if I could switch but it was the last one so I could either get my money back and skip breakfast, or not eat 2/3 of what I like best about their parfaits. The woman at the counter seemed bothered that I interrupted the line, and then that the yogurt hadn't been opened and it wasn't past the date so it was fine. No, it's not fine and now I'm pissed off first thing in the morning. read more

I was very happy to find this Starbucks no matter the reviews we all know the good or bad experiences are just a snap shot of what is happening at that moment. Fortunately I arrived mid afternoon and the service was exceptional, the staff extremely efficient and very friendly. I travel quite a bit and I frequent a number of Starbucks I found a lot of positives here it was very clean plenty of parking and very easy to get in and out. I ordered a Iced Vanilla Latte and it was excellent. No matter how frustrated the locals get they will keep coming back. Great places that serve up great products are going to be busy. I look at Starbucks like I'm going out to get ice cream I can wait without getting upset by some of their short comings and sit back and relax and enjoy the treat once I have it in my hands remember these are hand crafted specialty drinks not fast food. My infant has to drink his bottle in the cold in the parking lot ...and we have to drink our coffee in the parking lot because we came in at 10 minutes before closing. So I'm here in the car just watching the folks inside close. It's now 10:17 and I'm looking at them in the shop. They kick paying customers with a baby out in the cold. No customer service skills. I placed my order at 2:53 on the mobile app. It should've been ready at 3 o'clock. I sat in the parking lot to wait for an open parking spot when I was able to park. I walked up only to find the doors locked There was an event. So I had to get in my car and get in Starbucks long line. first of all my order online should have never been taken if I couldn't walk up and get my drink inside the store. I had to wait in line and by the time I got my drink, it was almost 20 minutes and the girl at the window had the nerve to get on me and tell me I needed to have stopped at the order window and tell them I was here, even though she had my drink right there in front of her. I feel like if Starbucks can take my order online I ought to be able to pick it up how I need to pick it up and not wait in Starbucks long line. I am sure I will go back. This Starbucks has to be the best in terms of service...of all the starbucks I have ever visited. The people are so amazingly nice. The coffee tastes better due to this reason. This is a great place to stop when you are on the road on I-59. The restrooms are clean. Parking is plentiful. I think free WiFi (not very sure). There is a super-walmart right across in case you need to get some other stuff for your drive. read more

I found this Starbucks location via the Starbucks app on a road trip. When I entered the store the Baristas said I must either order via the drive through or via the app and not in stores. There was no signage on the store or notification in the Starbucks app that this was how orders were being handled at this location. As a result I had to leave the store, place my order via the app in the parking lot and wait 12 minutes for my order to be ready (2 food items & 2 drinks). In addition, when I requested to use the restroom in the store, the Barista told me to walk across the parking lot to use a gas station restroom. Using a business's restroom when making a purchase is a necessity on a road trip. Also, it is clear to me that Starbucks isn't concerned about the community's health when they'd prefer loyal customers use a public restroom at a separate business instead of taking the necessary measures to offer their store facilities to customers making a purchase at Starbucks store. It's clear to me that rather Starbucks main concern is covering themselves by keeping loyal customers at a distance. Just so you know, other Starbucks customers who were sitting outside on the patio were aware of the fact that I was turned away from using the restroom and these customers stated that "it wasn't right" for Starbucks to turn away a paying customer. Starbucks' reputation of being a friendly, fair and tolerant corporation is failing. read more

My wife and I have one of those really long coffee orders. We know the order it goes in at Starbucks, we know the routine, they know what we're talking about... Get it, got it, done. However, stopping in this location last night before a 4 hour drive home they forgot the "3 Splenda" part of my wife's order. No big deal, but it didn't seem that hard especially when they asked "anything else?" and I said, "yeah, three Splendas for that second one." Nice drive thru service, though. But it was still a bummer to have to park, run in and get Splenda just because they left it out. read more

I give them four stars because there are a handful of employees that are top notch. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and seriously kill it when the parking lot, drive thru, and lobby are full. I am happy with my order 90% of the time. I know they cannot possibly be getting paid enough to handle all the business this place gets. That being said, they stay understaffed, especially during this COVID era. The hours of operation are constantly changing. You can tell when the OG crew isn't on the clock and the counter to pick up mobile orders is ignored. I sent my son in the other day to pick up our mobile order and he waited for 15 minutes before I came in and found our drinks with melted ice just beyond the counter. This happens a lot. There's a sign in the lobby with "now hiring" "free Spotify for employees" written on it. Maybe they should offer better pay and training instead? These employees are overworked. read more

I prefer to go to locally owned restaurants and stores, but I'm just not familiar enough with Lufkin to find a good local coffee place. The barista put in just enough soy milk and made is blazing hot so it could help keep my frosty finger toasty. This Starbucks was packed, slow, and mostly terrible on a Sunday afternoon. I was 5th in line, and waited behind 8 other people still waiting to get their drinks. By the time we finally got our hot chocolate and caramel macchiato, I was excited and thankful to the one girl they had making drinks for a crowd of people, until we realized that both drinks were not made right at all. I think she made a caramel latte instead of a macchiato, and the hot chocolate was more like hot water. Luckily, they did have some pretty cozy chairs we got to hang in for a couple of hours. The bathrooms were both pretty gross (I heard a little boy tell his dad about a spider inside, and the store was poorly organized. I also had the pleasure of overhearing one of the most racist comments I've heard in a while by the guy across from us who brought in Wendy's to eat in the Starbucks. I'll spare everyone, but I will avoid this location again at all costs. read more

I give them two stars simply because when I asked for a refund after waiting 35 minutes for an iced chai, they didn't object. As the number of waiting customers grew, they just kept saying they were working on a big order. I understand first come first served, but if someone orders 15 drinks or more everyone behind the counter cannot simply work on that one order and make everyone else wait. This is the lone Starbucks in a 30-mile radius so it has a tendency to be extremely busy most of the day. The fresh food offerings are slim but are delicious when you get the opportunity to try some. I always go here for my Starbucks, but this time was the last straw. I ordered a dragon fruit refresher with lemonade and when we got to the window she handed us a dragon fruit mango refresher. After politely informing her that they had mistook my drink for another, she proceeded to come at me with a harsh tone saying "Then you need to make sure you order the right drink when coming through the drive-through". She gave me the dirtiest look as well. I was completely caught off guard, I would have never thought I would ever be treated in such a disrespectful manner especially at such a prestige coffee house. She then proceeded to tell us that we needed to wait by the umbrella area for them to fix the drink which we did. Another employee then brought our drinks out and when he did so, we realized the drink was now just a lemonade refresher.
