But past that there really isn't much that sets it apart from other locations. And this is a good thing if you like the consistency of SB, which I do. When I'm visiting my hometown of Milledgeville I always like to stop at this Starbucks to get my caffeine fix. I was very surprised that Starbucks actually put a store in Milledgeville, considering how small the town is and the fact that Milledgeville has such a high rate of unemployment and under-employment making a Starbucks coffee out of the price reach for most in town. But I am glad they did so I can satisfy my Starbucks addiction when visiting from Atlanta. The staff at this Starbucks has always been friendly and willing to make suggestions on their new coffee and products. I think they get a little disappointed when I just get the same bold coffee each time. I do have an issue with this Starbucks in relation to the Atlanta stores. Each time that Starbucks is going to increase the prices on their coffee they usually do it at this location a month or two earlier than they do in the Atlanta market. I just hope that the Milledgevillians can continue to support this location so I can get my fix when I'm back home visiting. read more

Very poor experience at this Starbucks which made me so sad. I used to frequent here when I was in college. First of all, the line was long and the employees goofing off. They were teasing each other, talking to friends across the counter and throwing cups and laughing. I'm all for having fun at work, but be professional. The cashier was not very helpful or nice. The girl making my drink made two of their friends drinks before mine even though the friends were in line behind me. The drink itself was awful- tasted burnt and was not full. Consistently good coffee and food items, so I'm a regular. However... There are a couple really good baristas at this location, but for the most part the service does not rise to Starbuck's standards. Aside from the couple good ones, tunnel vision seems to be the strong point of the others. They don't multitask well so service can be a bit tedious. I have stood in a long line and watched six baristas doing store related stuff that could easily wait till later while only one cash register was open. Teamwork for customer service is lacking. I've never had anyone be rude, but aside from the couple great ones, the others can almost be unfriendly. I (all of us in the dining room) have been privy to some friction between female baristas on a couple of visits. That's just awkward and not at all typical of any other Starbucks where I've been a regular. Recent Sunday experience: Website indicates an open time of 5:30. I'm there at 6:40. Signs, lights and drive-thru all are lit. There are four women in the store. After sitting in the drive-thru for five minutes, I drive around to the window. A girl is there, we make eye contact, she continues to work while avoiding looking at me again. I sit awkwardly for a minute and then pull around to walk in. There is no hours of operation posted. I try both doors and they are locked. The women look up to see who is at the door, and then continue working, completely ignoring me. It would have been nice to at least come to the door and let the customer know when they open. The hours of operation should be posted on the door in my opinion. The website should also be clear and updated. Yelp indicated that they were open. Originally I gave them two stars for customer service, but after today, I reduced it to one. read more
